  1. Do you draw distinction between emotional pain and emotional suffering? TJ Reeves said unnecessary pain is suffering and every pain he experienced was necessary and sufficient to make him what he is today. Do you still feel emotional pain in the moment but prevent that pain from rolling over you for the rest of your day or your week? How do you emotionally deal with nasty criticisms in the moment?
  2. I don't know. You are supposed to be a spiritual navy SEAL. What was your experience? I guess a millionaire with a few hundred million dollars in one's bank account could deal with a neighborhood bully by hiring a competent lawyer or by isolating oneself in a corporate environment where nobody can bully that millionaire. But, I'm not a millionaire with a fat wallet.
  3. Does enlightenment help with emotional mastery? I want to deal with criticisms, bullies, and trolls without letting them control my emotions.
  4. I don't disagree with your statements. I don't hold myself up to an ultimate steady state which is called perfection. As I said above, I think of perfection as the process of getting better, not an ultimate steady state. I know I'm not going to master everything. But, I can kind of master my life. Notice that mastery and improvements are part of reality, and it's also perfection. What's real is that things keep evolving and improving over time and through iterations in the long term. Reality is not stagnant. This is perfect. I think you mean perfectionism or an ultimate steady state when you say perfection. When I say perfection, I mean the process of getting better. Even if you put the majority of your time into one thing and spend a little time on other things, you are still getting better at those other things, too. That's also perfection. For example, I'm learning to shave my face with a straight razor. I don't plan to attain absolute excellence in straight razor shaving, but I'm going to become more perfect at it over time if I keep practicing it. By not trying to attain absolute excellence in straight razor shaving, I can become more perfect at balance. By becoming more perfect at attaining balance, I will excel more in my life. I also plan to become an athlete to improve health and become a more effective person. But, I'm not going to waste my time by trying to become a professional athlete. Becoming an athlete is a mindset. There are also limiting beliefs that make you think you can achieve only this much. You can become a better or more perfect version of yourself by dropping both limiting beliefs and perfectionism.
  5. My take on perfection is that it is the process of getting closer to perfection. Perfection is not a static state. Then, a perfect human being is a human being who always gets better without regression. Am I right? By that definition, if you often experience mental regressions, you are not perfect.
  6. It's impossible to reach perfection, but you can become more perfect with practice in many fields. A perfect human being is just a concept for guiding my thoughts around perfection.
  7. @kieranperez I'm trying to think of perfection as a useful concept for self help. Accepting reality and still trying to improve reality is a start point. Attempts at improvements are more effective when you accept reality. I can see it as the perfection/mastery process. Perfection is similar to mastery process. Watch this video to understand what I mean by mastery process. When you stop chasing perfection as a steady state and enjoy the process of mastery, you become more perfect, more functional, or more effective as a human being. I think you can extract useful tips from TJ Reeves if you know what you are looking for. I extract useful tips from various sources including Leo Gura, TJ Reeves, Teal Swan, and Thomas Frank.
  8. Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald was a popular writer in the 20th century. However, he started failing hard once he started obsessing over every little detail of his work. He wanted his novel to be a perfect work of his lifetime and started obsessing over every little detail. As a result of obsessing over detail, he lost confidence and produced a failure. After `The Great Gatsby` failed, he received a barrage of bitchy criticisms and found it very difficult to write novels. He began writing screenplays for hollywood, but he regretted having done so. After just one failure, his wife was admitted to a mental hospital. He succumbed to heavy alcoholism and died at the age of fourty four. A perfectionist quits after one failure. Fitzgerald quit novel writing after one failure. I think what happened to him was that perfectionism ruined excellence and joy. He forgot what it was like to enjoy writing. Mastery process is the opposite of perfectionism. I think mastery process is what leads to real perfection which is the process of getting better and getting closer to perfection. An artist's job is not to be perfect but to create, get better, and enjoy the process.
  9. I have resistance to plugging something up my ass. Other than the plugging aspect, I'm looking forward to psychedelics. Also, finding a psychedelics seller is going to take some time because it's illegal in my country. People of my country think 5-MeO-DMT is as harmful as heroin and cocaine and opium. They draw no distinction between addictive drugs and psychedelics. I want to try psychedelics after I have sufficiently developed myself through meditation, emotional mastery, and curing addiction.
  10. You're right. When your livelihood is threatened by external factors, you can be stressed out. You could have worked the same hours without pain if there was no threat to your future income.
  11. Currently, I sit on my chair, lean my back on it, and meditate for 20 minutes everyday. It's not very comfortable, but it's not particularly uncomfortable, either. This chair is not designed for comfortable sleeping, but for sedentary work. Meditation is doable for 20 minutes on it, but I find myself often changing my posture on the chair. Some people mentioned meditation cushion and meditation bench. Is it better to meditate on meditation cushion and also meditation bench than it is on my chair?
  12. I'm not sure. I'm just trying to deduce a conclusion.
  13. I have mental resistance to plugging 5-MeO-DMT up my ass.
  14. What is karmic impression? Do you mean that you will feel hurt by insults in the moment but will not amplify the pain into the future with your negative thoughts? What do you mean by their pain? The pain of trolls and psychopaths?
  15. @Jcent What about using meditation bench on top of meditation cushion?
  16. Enlightenment is complete zero? Does it mean non-existence? How can you write comments if you are not thinking? Also, I'm very interested in emotional mastery. How do you deal with internet trolls emotionally?
  17. To me, everything feels ultimately meaningless such that everything is as good as nothing and nowhere.
  18. Most people at many stages have a need to feel superior to others. Being at Green has little to do with the need to feel superiority. This applies to bullies, too. Bullies bully others in order to feel superior.
  19. I think your definition of intelligence is quite narrow. Infinite intelligence is the entire order of the universe. Rocks demonstrate rock intelligence by being perfect at being rocks. Ants have ant intelligence. Human society has intelligence, too. The internet demonstrates its intelligence through its organization. There is intelligence in human genes. A company exhibits its corporate intelligence through clever organizational structures. IQ is necessary but a tiny portion of intelligence. Emotional intelligence is also intelligence. Also, psychopaths are better representatives of predator intelligence rather than those of IQ. They are not emotionless creatures. They feel predator emotions far more strongly than social people. They can be manipulated by pushing predator emotions. Think of psychopaths as such predators as lions, crocodiles, or sharks. I recommend watching Leo's video on infinite intelligence.
  20. On average, psychopaths are not more intelligent or more successful than social people. Most social people are programmed to act robotically most of the time through habits, too. Most people are on auto pilot mode most of the time. According to pieter hintjen's psyhchopath code, psychopaths have predatory emotions, and social people have social emotions in addition to predatory emotions. Understand psychopaths as (ir)rational predators. In the animal kingdom, predators usually do not waste their energy on stronger animals. Be careful about when you are compassionate toward whom. A crocodile doesn't care if you feel compassion toward the crocodile when it chews your hand. A shark doesn't care if you are an animal rights activist when it chews your body. Also, beware psychopaths who disguise themselves as professional victims. Psychopaths hide among various activists and bully vulnerable humans just to practice its power for study and fun. It's like a little lion learning to hunt animals through play.
  21. I think the answer is complicated. My answer is I don't know. Spiral Dynamics doesn't map psychopaths well. Also, you can have strong Red even if you are solidly Green. Most adolescents go through Red stage, and most of them don't commit hardcore crimes.
  22. If you mess up at lower stages, you will mess up at higher stages. If you screw up at Beige(e.g. Not having enough sleep), everything you do is going to be futile. You screwed up at Orange. You don't have enough money to meet your basic needs satisfactorily. You need at least financial comfort. But, you should make as much money as possible while doing what you like. You should also want success in mastering life. Orange is not just about money. It is about progress and success. Until you master Orange, you won't be able to master Green and Yellow. (i.e. Can a starving man think about helping others?) I think it's good to go down to lower stages and master them before moving up. You probably need to work on Beige and other lower stages, too.
  23. I understand what Leo Gura wants to say about Jordan Peterson. But, I think he spends too much time on ranting about jordan peterson and Blue/Orange. I understand every stage has unhealthy aspects. It's just not healthy to rant too much about things. People who embody unhealthy aspects of any Spiral Dynamics stage will not change their minds when they hear rants about them. But, they can be inspired. Those lost hours could have been spent on improving his life or his videos or inspiring people to ascend to higher stages of Spiral Dynamics. Don't hate me for saying this.
  24. What is your vision? What do you want to do?
