How much absolute difference is there between IQ 100 and IQ 150? It depends on the population. In a certain population, the difference between IQ 100 and IQ 150 would be very small. The kid who had to spend months to learn music theory could have been a lazy kid who was not motivated or a kid who didn't have enough knowledge to understand it. I care about absolute difference, not relative ranking. There's a limit in improving the human brain. Everybody has a similar brain except for psychopaths and the like. The real game changer would be the direct connections between human brains and AIs. We will enhance our brains by connecting them with AI modules in the 21st century. Then, any person whose IQ is 150 now would look like a person of IQ 60 in comparison.

That sidestepping problem is solved by building momentum and streaks. Momentum is very important in bringing out your full potential.
-
@BjarkeT I think IQ affects how fast you learn. It's just that there is not much difference between IQ 100 and IQ 150. If your IQ was 300~500, there should be some noticeable differences.
-
According to jordan peterson, IQ predicts how fast one learns an abstract concept. IQ doesn't predict how fast and well one executes what it learned. Also, most people waste 80~90% of their efforts through procrastinations and distractions. Unless your IQ is 300~500, IQ doesn't make a lot of difference.

Some part of you is probably Yellow. There are many developmental lines in Spiral Dynamics. Emotionally, you might be green. Intellectually, you might be Yellow. In personal relationships, you might be Orange. Your career might be Red.

And, did she not scream at all?

Can you right now find any accessible place where you can be alone? You don't want to be waiting for too long. You need a solo retreat more than I do. Just do it for a day from time to time if you can't do it for a week. If you can't make time for a day, try to find a 2-hour time block when you can be alone. Your life purpose cannot be fleshed out when your mind is filled with a lot of petty stuff. Solo retreat is a great chance to work on your life purpose. Even if it's just 2 hours now and then, it can help. Also, try to forgive and love TJ Reeves or your dad during your solo retreat. Unconditional love frees you from emotional distractions. Can you be productive while you are spiteful and vengeful? In addition to solo retreat, you need to dabble with many things until you find something you like. It seems you haven't had a lot of time to dabble with things. My parents gave me a lot of time to explore and dabble with things. Thanks to them, I found my life purpose. Here's what I would do. Dabble with many things. If you notice that you really feel profound feelings while you watch movies, you could think about becoming a movie writer or a movie critic. You can also dabble with playing games, investments, etc, etc, ... Do exercises from Leo Gura's life purpose course. Do a solo retreat to flesh out your life purpose.

Don't wait for a fancy place. Do it at home if you can. I'm going to do a one-day solo retreat at home tomorrow.
-
Perhaps, see if you could benefit from talking with TJ Reeves if life purpose course didn't help so far. I know you are critical of TJ Reeves. If you want to talk with TJ Reeves for one hour, take the CODE test and ask him to talk with you. It took 4 hours for me to take the test. His style of help could potentially work for you. I also recommend doing a solo retreat for a few days before even thinking about talking with TJ Reeves. Whenever my mind is filled with petty stuff, doing nothing helps a lot. Watch this video, too. In this video, Leo says the fact that doing nothing helps you become more effective is counter-intuitive. He also recommends doing one or two 10-day solo retreats per year if you really want to grow a lot. Perhaps, doing a solo retreat for a few days will flesh out your life purpose. Don't you notice that you are full of creative insights while you are taking a shower? If a shower could do that to you, a solo retreat will flood you with insights. You don't have to go to a fancy place to do a solo retreat. You can do it at home. I plan to try a one day solo retreat at home tomorrow. I'm going to do bare minimum(food, a little bit of exercise, reviewing anki decks) on my one-day solo retreat.

I think law of attraction applies. If you have a scarcity mindset, you will imagine scarce situations and you will get scarcity through law of attraction. If you worry in the positive side, you will imagine positive things and get positive things through law of attraction. Giving away 10% of your income to charity helps you drop scarcity mindset.

@GeoLura What is your modus operandi of investments? How many hours a day do you spend on investments? I am curious. Perhaps, I should try it, too. My father wants me to learn real estate auctions from him. Maybe, I should learn some investment because financial freedom is an obligation. I will be forced to make money if I don't. Before life starts forcing me to make money in undesirable ways, I want to take control of the way I make money.

For financial stability?
-
Yes, I will grow muscles and learn some self defense. I will also learn to become assertive (on the internet) when I need to.
-
@Rilles That's similar to what leo told us about dealing with pain. He told us to experience pain fully without avoiding it.

This episode made me grow immediately. I realized my spitefulness comes from lack of love. I need to love in order to free myself from revenge and various other emotional distractions. I realized I had been very lazy for the last few days because I had been trying to do too much at once and my mind couldn't keep up with multi-tasking. When my mind can't keep up with multi-tasking, it just shuts down and starts distracting itself with various petty stuff. I need to allow myself to do nothing for hours in order to regain strategic decisiveness and awareness. 1. One hour daily meditation I posit that meditating 20 minutes in the morning and 40 minutes before I go to bed would be better than meditating for one hour straight. This way, I am better able to respond to emergencies that eat into my schedule. 2. Doing two 10-day solo retreats per year Doing absolutely nothing during 10-day solo retreats is not feasible. I have to prepare food, exercise a bit, and take a walk. I must review anki decks everyday. Instead, I would do bare minimum(food, reviewing anki decks, a little bit of exercise, maybe watching Leo's videos) and plan hours-long "do nothing" sessions everyday for 10 days. Also, doing two 10-day solo retreats per year sounds like too much time commitment. Perhaps, I will start with one 10-day solo retreat per year and see how it turns out. Before I do a 10-day solo retreat, I will experience a one day solo retreat which is really good for re-orienting myself after being lazy for a while.

is the very idea that third world country workers take jobs from local people not an example of scarcity mindset? If you operate from a scarcity mindset, you end up attracting more scarcity through law of attraction.
-
You're underestimating automation. Automation is becoming cheaper and out-competing third world country workers. No country is ready for the kind of radical automation that the 21st century is going to unfold. Automation is a bigger threat than third world country workers. Yet, people are worried far more about people from third world countries. Robots can already learn to make burgers through machine learning. AI techniques more advanced than machine learning will emerge soon. You can't just kill the technologies. Welcome to 21st century dystopia. Your local people will become really needy in a few decades.

Hahahahaha..... Anyway, that episode was really practical and useful. In particular, doing two 10 day solo retreats per year, and doing meditation one hour a day. I noticed that I became stupid very quickly because I filled up my schedule with petty shits and had no time to really think and strategize.

@Joseph Maynor I was not particularly talking about death. I was talking about enduring the pain of being burned alive without moving crazily. How can one do it while calmly sitting? Only enlightened ones can do it. The ones who can nonchalantly endure being burned alive are fit to be great warriors. Thus, they are warrior sages. Enlightenment makes you an excellent warrior. I want to become a life purpose warrior. I don't want to think about death too deeply until I nail down my execution and basic financial stability.
-
That sounds like god mode. God is a great warrior.
-
@Joseph Maynor As far as I know, only enlightened monks were able to endure fire without dancing crazily.
-
What kind of stupid shit?
-
I think Orange guys are tired of that shit, too. It is tiring to everyone.
-
Today, I have an hour or two of free time before I go to bed. I want to make the most of my time. I thought of the following activities. Wait around without succumbing to distractions until any good idea comes up in my mind. Do nothing. Just wait around without distracting myself without a purpose. Meditate. Slowly strategize about my life without succumbing to distractions or procrastinations ... I don't think doing more shallow stuff in my free time is going to help me with my life purpose in the long run. What do you recommend doing?

Do you think Leo Gura ruined his personal development by making money out of it?
