Right now, I'm striving to be strategic and not react to my emotions. Love and being the best are out of reach for now.

The problem is my lack of execution prevents me from enjoying life. Doing nothing is execution of emotional labor. To enjoy life, you need to exert emotional labor, first. If you are merely interested in meditation and solo retreat, you would do them when it's convenient. If you wait for when it's convenient, you are not going to do them much. I suggest that you are as effective as your weakest link. If your weakest link is at Purple, your effectiveness is crippled by Purple. A loner who doesn't have friends can have very hard time if one is not already making money. It's very difficult to escape poverty trap when one is alone. Poverty trap forces you to be at Beige. You are going to search dumpsters for food. Lack of strong foundation at a certain Stage often makes you do things at that stage and below. In a sense, the universe is making you focus on your weakest links. I'm technically Orange, but I often find myself addressing concerns of lower stages because I don't have strong foundation at lower stages.

@ValiantSalvatore I think you are conceptualizing too much. `What is` can be simple. `What works` can be even simpler. Although understanding what is is important, I also focus on what works. Noticing the difference between interest and commitment helps you live a better life. If you are interested, you do what is convenient. If you are committed, you do what it takes to achieve what you are committed to. I'm going to focus on commitment and consistency of execution. I think SSD metaphor is apt for consistency. I can learn how to improve latency and throughput of my task management system from SSD performance techniques. If latency of your task management system is too high, you greatly suffer. For example, if you focus on one thing for too long, you forget to exercise, and you become weak. If your task management system's latency is too low, you suffer from lack of throughput. If you check emails every 30 minutes, you don't get anything important done. You need to strike a balance between latency and throughput. To achieve the balance, you need to exert a lot of emotional labor because it's difficult to stop thinking about something sometimes. This is just the productivity part. To learn to ignore criticisms, you need more techniques. Leo's videos can help you ignore criticisms. Productivity + personal growth + insensitivity to criticism = superhuman.

If a woman is not particularly interested in you, then you are not attractive in her eyes. It's that simple. Solution // don't be unattractive.

Just have sex.

The title should be "DRACULA does a pick-up".

Take responsibility for your life. Running away from your life is irresponsible. I have no friends, and I don't have a girl friend. I still want to live a million years. Find something else you can focus on. Watch leo's videos about attracting girls.

A forum user is a self-serving role unlike a cop. This forum doesn't seem to lead anywhere. This is a dead-end. Whatever impact it has, it is a noise. This forum seems to be a mere downstream implication of the larger upstream big picture. The downstream just follows changes from the upstream like technological development. If you are not a leader, then you are a follower. Resisting is also a form of following. We can be good followers, but are we going anywhere as followers? Who or what are we following other than Leo's personality? We are not good at being forum users either although other forums can suck more. We have choices. Become a better follower. Follow better things. You can suck at following and end up going nowhere. Recognize that you are at a cul de sac. You can perfectly serve in the role of a person stuck at a cul de sac. But, that's not useful. Get yourself out of a dead-end. Move upstream, and become a leader of some form. If the best you can do is being stuck at a cul de sac, you should re-evaluate your life. Perhaps, you are stuck because you are not developed enough to change the world without making it worse. Serving in the role of a weakly developed person is not useful to anyone.

I suggest that bernie sanders, donald trump, andrew yang, and barrack obama are all a lot more developed than everyone on this thread is. We are basically useless while those people actually have some effects on the world. Reaching yellow doesn't matter much if one is weakly developed. Elon Musk is better than a lazy Yellow arm-chair philosopher who is weakly developed. One's actual development can be measured by the lowest stage one has a strong foundation on.

When I don't try to be something other than myself, my flaws can be seen more clearly. I'm made more aware as a result.

Yellow or not, I like his policies.

I recommend creating a new thread for that. Oh, I think it would be off-topic for actualized.org forum. You better find an appropriate place for questions.

When I read a comment written in poor english grammar, it's hard for me to take it seriously. It's also painful to read. If your english is not good enough, your english grammar deteriorates quickly when you are tired, deprived of sleep, or triggered. It's painful to read a comment written by someone who is deprived of sleep or excessively tired or excessively distracted or deeply triggered. A deep sleep deprivation kills a native english speaker's writing ability, too. Quick solution // Get some rest. Write when you are in a good shape. How can I take you seriously if you are not in a good shape?

I once pulled beard in my early teenage years. It was not good for my skin. Just shave your beard. You are not going to expose your armpit or your penis in public places, are you? You don't have to shave your armpit or your pubic hair or your legs. I recommend double-edged(DE) safety razor because DE razor blades are cheap and DE razors provide you with close shaves with minimal efforts. Cartridge razors are expensive. Straight razors are difficult to learn.

Both are valid. My gripe was with sentences that are very difficult to read. I'm ok with sentences that are not difficult to understand. At first, I thought fine tune was not a verb. Dictionary says fine-tune is a verb. So, I'd write I think "fine tune" is a little bit weird. "fine-tune" is a better choice. It seems I just fine-tuned your sentence. I'd advise that you focus on punctuation and hyphens in compound words. It's going to improve readability. Another example // I'd rewrite as The absence of comma between "Looking back" and "I" can confuse anyone who is not already good at english. Don't try to boast your english writing skill. It's going to confuse ESL people. Focus on readability.
-
That's a fine tuning. I was talking about not making it difficult for others to read one's english writing. When people who are not good at english try to write a fancy comment, they mess up. When those people are not in a good shape, they mess up. Just sticking to basic english grammar and not trying to write anything fancy that is beyond one's english level can improve readability a lot. You can see that I am not trying to be clever with my english writing. I use basic words. Clever english writing is the realm of elite english speakers who know more than 35,000 english words and have mastered fine details of english over decades as native english speakers. It's better to write orderly english than to write clever english for most people most of the time.

It's difficult to extract sentiment when it's written very poorly. I have to read again and again. It can be annoying. Readers expect the most bang for a small amount of reading. Good novels succeed partly because they deliver a lot of bang for a small amount of effort. Living creatures like to conserve energy. By the way, english is a second language to me, too. Nobody speaks english in my region. I'm not going to lash out on poor english grammar, but it's usually difficult to take a poorly written comment seriously.

I like writing bigly.

Is enlightenment like being always on LSD? This is Leo Gura on LSD. Does enlightenment provide different experiences from the ones provided by 5-MeO-DMT and LSD? Weirdly, after having a lucid dream and learning some theories, Leo's enlightenment experience sounds logical. -

Is enlightenment like realizing the nature of the movie projected onto the screen? When my sleeping dream became lucid, it felt like enlightenment because the screen enlightened. -

You cannot explain orgasm in words to someone who hasn't experienced orgasm. -
A properly developed Blue person is worth a lot more than a weakly developed Orange, Green, or Yellow person. A weakly developed Orange person is basically a bum. A weakly developed Green person is just a dirty little whiner. A weakly developed Yellow person is a chronically lazy thinker. A Blue super hero like captain america is worth ten of properly developed Yellow people. He takes responsibility instead of demonizing others. He saves others instead of making demands from others. If you think you are Green but keep making demands from others, don't claim that you are better than captain america just because you are at a higher stage in Spiral Dynamics. Building strong foundation is more important than making progress into higher stages as quickly as possible. If you build yourself upon a flimsy foundation, it's going to collapse.
-
I think captain america is what Blue could have been without dogmas. He has a strong foundation of Blue even if he may not be Blue. He is so blue that his outfit is blue, too. Captain america: the good parts from Blue
