  1. After becoming a US marine, what will your life purpose be?
  2. Physical death includes ego death. A rear-naked choke will give you a preview of physical death.
  3. Are you ready to voluntarily submit yourself to a rear-naked choke until you pass out? A rear-naked choke can make you experience physical death.
  4. Would left-wing devils see right-wing bias in Truth?
  5. When I first saw Leo on his video in his current shape, I thought Leo was an ex member of a neo-nazi skinhead brotherhood who turned to the good side and now preaches personal development. He also looked like a cool devil with beard.
  6. According to creating a Dyson swarm around the sun is an exponential process. Compounded interests are also exponential. Perhaps, the way to succeed is not linear but exponential just like compounded interests. I would need to find a way to compound success upon success and habits upon habits. Perhaps, I was thinking about success in linear terms. The vast majority of short-term gains create linear success. Compounded success can leave lasting impacts.
  7. I didn't make any specific point. I was curious about how Leo deals with his own devilry.
  8. 99% of people in tier 1 of Spiral Dynamics seem to be obsessed with short term gains rather than lasting impacts. That's why most people are stuck. Upgrading your physical infrastructure can give you short term gains, but it won't matter in a few weeks if you are not upgraded. If you upgrade yourself, you won't see the results right away, but you will start upgrading your infrastructure and many other things for the next few decades. You will also upgrade your health and your lifespan. Upgrading your habits leads to lasting impacts while upgrading speakers will reduce the amount of money in your bank account. Aim for lasting impacts instead of short-term gains. Short-term gains Upgrading your physical infrastructure. (Upgrading speakers won't create any long-term impacts.) Eating sugar and fast food Video games YouTube videos Geo-political conflicts created to gain short-term advantages that will not matter in the long term. Lasting impacts Upgrading your habits Upgrading yourself Upgrading your ability to resist temptations Upgrading your consciousness Putting yourself in a position that enables you to create long-lasting legacies. Ending geo-political conflicts and working together to create a Dyson swarm around the sun
  9. What is dementia? Is it a disease of the mind? Is it a physical illness in the brain?
  10. Practically speaking, good relationships are a good infrastructure and reduce neuroticism. If you have good friends and a good family, you are much less likely to encounter situations that reduce your awareness. For example, when all your friends are criminals, it's hard to raise consciousness. Also, you have direct experience of what loneliness does to you, especially when you were less developed. I'm not into forming relationships. But, I can see the value in good relationships.
  11. I think your tax dollars go to funding it, too. What can you say about it? Did your latest solo retreat give you any insights about that?
  12. If you want to become exceptional, you can't be normal. Norm is for average people.
  13. An amateur dispenses negative criticisms and cannot differentiate work from survival and reproductive instincts. An amateur also doesn't differentiate actuality from fiction. An amateur also suffers from dunning-kruger effect and thus believes one's opinions are absolutely correct. For example, an amateur may say this movie or this book is shitty because it seems racist although the work itself is a great piece of art. An expert gives constructive feedbacks and knows difference between art and survival/reproductive instincts. An expert is humble and doesn't believe one's opinions are absolutely correct. A piece of art can go against your survival instincts by depicting bullying. But, that's a good bullying. An expert talks about how good the bullying was and the nuances of bullying. An amateur talks about how shitty it is just because it depicts bullying. Art transcends survival and reproduction. A piece of art can go against your reproductive instincts by depicting castration.
  14. The peter principle states that people in a hierarchy tend to rise to their level of incompetence. I don't understand how the peter principle applies to me. This part doesn't seem to make sense.
  15. My mistake has been to overestimate my ability to resist temptations. In other words, I suffered from dunning-kruger effect. As a result, I felt pray to various temptations and wasted a lot of years. A quick trick is to underestimate my ability to resist temptations if in doubt. This trick immediately improved my average results.
  16. Sounds like you are having fun.
  17. Inter-racial marriage is beneficial for your children's genetic health. It's easy to justify inter-racial marriage when you see physically and intellectually superior children from inter-racial marriages. Japanese people love foreign genes too because they suffer from genetic defects in their gene pool. Often, genetic defects manifest as facial deformities and various physical deformities and low intelligence. I am attracted to superior genes, too.
  18. By the way, I do not see progressive people. Most who claim to be progressive are a conservative of another kind. Being progressive entails destroying one's ego. Destroying one's ego is a constant process. It's easy to see conservatism because egos like conserving something. Are you progressive relatively to yourself?
  19. This reminds me of myself. I call it dunning-kruger effect. I have been cleaning up false lofty ideals in my head. I'd rather be the lofty ideals than conceptualize or know about them. I started putting being in front of knowing and concepts.
  20. By the way, compassion and empathy don't always lead to good manners. You can say harsh things out of compassion. Tough love.
  21. If a woman showed good manners to me, I couldn't consider her toxic.
  22. Is this how a few monks transcended self-immolation? Burning oneself is good?
