  1. Recently, I gained a habit of eating random food outside. This is not just bad for health but also for my finance. I'm not happy with that. Eating random food feels good temporarily, but any food experience becomes forgotten in an hour. I want to replace food habit with something that's more permanent and more economical and more productive. I thought of a few ways out of this habit. Engineer a new habit Anticipate the cues of the habit, and take pre-emptive actions to avoid the cues. Working out may improve my mood and preempt any futile desire for food Improving regularity of sleep schedule and morning routine may catapult positive momentum to a point where I don't feel a need to eat food to avoid emptiness. I observed a trend in my past. The trend is that sleep and morning routine are two most important factors in my productivity. Eat, drink, sleep, and exercise properly to keep my mind sharp. A sharp mind doesn't eat random food. Combine sedona method with a short workout. Exercise and sedona method seem to be a powerful combination. If you have better ideas, share yours.
  2. My thread was locked without explanation. You were luckier.
  3. Perhaps, you may want to take a bluetooth keyboard with you. Are speed reading techniques still unnatural to you?
  4. What you described is spiritual ideology. Become a post-spiritual dude.
  5. @ValiantSalvatore What is your normal reading speed?
  6. I think it means working hard for 4 hours everyday on the things you are a genius at. You want to make money from the things you are a genius at. You want to make a career out of them. It's difficult to know whether you are good at something until you have tried it for many weeks. If you find yourself growing fast in a certain field after working at it for a year, you are probably good at it.
  7. Somehow, eating at home feels like death when I need to eat late at night. I know eating outside is not going to change anything. But, eating at home feels like death late at night. What is going on? Shall I accept death?
  8. Better technology Better genes Better mindset I think changing technology, gene, and mindset is beneficial in other fields, too.
  9. Is that from Leo's life purpose course?
  10. That's a good time to have dinner. Based on my observation, you seemed to be high in neuroticism. You can prove me wrong.
  11. This sounds like a good advice. Sounds good to me. I will try feeling good next time.
  12. I think you are exaggerating. Whatever moralism I have is not nearly as toxic as you think it is although I think I need more self acceptance. I don't feel negative emotions as strongly as you do even when I feel that I screwed up my day. What if you are projecting on me? It never occurred to me that I had a problem of low self-esteem. I estimate that my self-esteem is not exactly high, but mediocre. Many things about my life are mediocre. I hope to rise above mediocrity. If you think I'm deep in victim mindset and low self-esteem now, you didn't see me at the bottom many months ago or a few years ago. Most of victim narrative that I speak of with regard to non-duality is non-duality joke or is an indication that I don't really believe in non-duality. I don't take non-duality seriously at this point. At this point, non-duality is an interesting concept. I plan to focus more on practical stuff for the next few years.
  13. The same applies to me. But, I often find myself working on challenging things that I shouldn't bother myself with.
  14. Needing to eat dinner late at night means I screwed up my day. I usually have dinner between 6:00PM and 7:00PM. I am preoccupied with distractions. It feels like dying to ditch distractions at once and do the right thing. Eating the same food over and over feels like dying when I don't have a lot of positive momentum built up. When my discipline is shit, it is tempting to go outside and enjoy new food. Eating outside is another distraction.
  15. Taxes are not the only way to have lights on at night. It is only one way. When AIs are running everything automatically, humans won't need to tax others. Actually, the government can hand out money to people in order to maintain control and account for resources when AIs do almost everything. Anything is possible with God. God allows governments to exist without tax.
  16. It seems no reply has answered my questions so far.
  17. My motivation is not related to surveillance. I don't like surveillance. My motivation is to become a legend in my field, be inspired by others, and inspire me and others through my work. It is also to turn my life into an art. Good advice. But, it is easier said than done. When distractions hit you with full emotional force, all theories go out the window. Once upon a time, I pushed myself too hard, and I cried because it felt like dying. Afterwards, a huge ego backlash consumed me. It seems I have to push through death. Or, my motivations and techniques are screwed up. Perhaps, I shall learn to not push myself too hard.
  18. Have you heard of AI singularity? AIs are eventually going to automate every dirty job that humans don't want to do. Money helps distribute finite resources. Even with AIs automating jobs, resources are still going to be finite. AIs are not going to turn finite resources into infinite resources.
  19. Are you telling me to suck it up, die, and be reborn? It's difficult to eat the same food over and over when my discipline is far below its best. It feels like dying when my discipline is shit. A high level of momentum could make it easy. I just don't have momentum now.
  20. In theory, it's possible for the government to not collect tax if human labor is not needed. When human labor is not needed, the government could give a certain amount of money to people every month in order to maintain control. Tax is convenient when human labor is needed. What if AIs take care of the vast majority of administrative tasks? What if human labor is not needed? Tax is not the only way to maintain peace and order. The government can exist without tax.
  21. Working/studying at least 70 hours a week? You are like Elon Musk. How childishly selfish is my motivation? Any other tricks?
  22. You could easily use that to create surveillance softwares used to surveil employees or truck drivers.
  23. I have finished eating outside. I feel empty again. I ate outside for nothing. So empty.
