  1. Cheaper guys win eventually. If regressive ideas are economically expensive, they will lose in decades. Regressive ideas are usually regressive because they are unnecessary constructions which are economically expensive and hold ourselves back. The most effective way of dealing with regression I know of is trials and errors.
  2. You're painting yourself as a target when you boast your wealth. The richest families do not boast their wealth because they know boasting will make them a target.
  3. Personally, if I was an american, I would vote for Yang because he's the only one who seriously considers universal basic income. If Bernie pushed UBI, I might consider him, too. If Yang didn't implement UBI, he would at least experiment with it in some cities. We need more data about it. I personally want to receive UBI.
  4. It is a distraction for most of the time. But, it's beneficial to check political trends on newspapers from time to time. I make my own policies with regard to my life because my own policies are the most important to my life.
  5. The real test for Bernie is to watch him govern china as the general secretary of communist party of china. China's general secretaries tend to become corrupted by power. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xi_Jinping made himself into a lifetime dictator after becoming the general secretary. It's possible that politicians change their shapes in different countries.
  6. It's not going to personally matter to you or your children. Either you send your children to school or don't. If you don't want your children to be subject to public curricula, you need preparations. It's simple as that. You are not going to live long enough to influence the education system or see it undergo groundbreaking changes. Most people don't need to know beyond two or three human languages, basic arithmetic, basic algebra, and basic geometry for most of the time. The rest can be bootstrapped from basic math and human language.
  7. @Surfingthewave Why do you quote me without any real quote?
  8. Maybe, someone can challenge him to consume 5-MeO-DMT. He can easily obtain 5-MeO-DMT if he wants. Later, he might say "I consumed 5-MeO-DMT for the greater good of america."
  9. A virtuous human being can have sex, fame, money, and power. A virtuous human being would use fame, money, and power for the greater good. Spirituality doesn't necessarily exclude material success.
  10. Associate with people who are interested in Spiral Dynamics.
  11. I bet that they are not solid Orange, either. Their Orange is likely to be barely satisfactory. Their Blue is pathetic. Anyone who has solid foundation from Beige to Blue(e.g., olympians) may not be tempted to vote for trump out of fear. They won't become solid Green because they are not solid Orange, either. There is a huge difference between some ostensibly Orange guy with flimsy foundation and Elon Musk who has pretty good foundation. I bet Elon Musk wouldn't vote out of fear. When I think of it as weak vs strong, it makes more sense.
  12. For now, I review SAAFE report everyday and think about what to improve.
  13. I used to think I was at Orange. Wrong. I was at Beige. Most people who think they are at Blue, Orange, and Green are actually at lower stages. Toxic Green is actually people who are probably at Purple or Red. Yet, their Purple or Red is mediocre. Muslim terrorists are incredibly weak at Blue. Jordan Peterson's Blue is minimally satisfactory because he doesn't feel connected to God and his level of mastery and discipline is not that great. Most Green examples we see are not highly developed Green, but mediocrely or poorly developed ones like dirty little jobless hippies. It's no wonder that we see a lot of criticisms toward Beige, Purple, Red, Blue, Orange, and Green. We don't see many inspiring examples of any except a few world-class citizens like olympians. We are overestimating ourselves and other people. Humanity has a lot of holes from Beige to Green. They need to develop from scratch again. The only kind of people I trust are properly developed from Beige to Blue are olympians and professional sports players. They nailed down Beige. Most of them are pretty good with Purple, Red, and Blue. If you combine professional sports players with Elon Musk, you get someone who nailed down Beige, Purple, Red, Blue, and Orange. Maybe, Elon Musk is pretty good with Beige, Purple, Red, Blue, and Orange. We have not seen many who's properly developed from Beige to Green. I think keeanu reeves is well developed at Beige, Purple, Blue, Orange, and Green although his Red may not be as good.
  14. JP doesn't lack mastery, but his mastery is certainly not at olympian level. Having a PhD is not a sign of great mastery. Stephen Hawking's mastery was pretty good although I don't know whether his was at olympian level. He cannot know whether a donor is on right wing or extreme right wing. He happened to appeal to right wing. My impression is that left wing and extreme left wing are not meaningfully better. There are ways to grow in each stage. And, you can figure out how to stick to regular sleep schedule, eat healthy food, and so on. Daily operations boil down to discipline and mindfulness. I cannot say much because I haven't grown much yet. Ask someone else who's better. SAAFE report teaches you of several growth strategies. Conservative strategy // You grow one area at once Progressive strategy // You grow in multiple areas at once Deathproof strategy // You try to reach deathproof level in every area simultaneously. I graduated from Beige a long time ago. Yet, I need to start again from Beige because my scores are low across the board. So, I'm as good as Beige. If my scores are low across the board, how can I say I'm at Orange or Green with confidence? I can't.
  15. I don't trust that anyone can reliably differentiate imagination from actuality or real consequences. Not even Leo Gura, considering his comments on his own forum. I stopped taking myself seriously after realizing that I'm not an exception. I assume that 90% of my pet conclusions about society or anything are trash. I trust trials and errors more than any one person's intuition. You should question yourself too since you seem to take yourself seriously. You may also be overestimating yourself. Most people overestimate themselves. Recently, I realized I greatly overestimated myself, too. Self-deception runs deep. People behave more aggressively behind pseudonyms or anonymity on online forums.
  16. More like educational conscription since soldiers literally took children away from parents and sent them to schools. Even now, if police officers find young kids on streets during school hours, they could question the kids and pressure them into going to school. That's quite like matrix that uses humans as battery and sucks time and energy from human cattles.
  17. Because you were never in a position that could directly threaten whatever little authority those leadership types had. You were just one promotion away from her. That's dangerously close. The woman got her job through strength of her relationships and tried to keep some distance from any potential threats to her authority and job security. You just happened to look like the most threatening competitor at the time. From her point of view, you had to be taken out to protect whatever little job security or authority she had. Typical private politicians. I think that describes your personality type to a degree. That's why you were a competitor to her. I've seen you pressure actualized.org forum users to adopt certain view points. That's similar to telling other teachers what is wrong and right. if you tried to share leadership with others or didn't show interest in leadership, she could have been more forgiving.
  18. I could have been fired in 3 months from my last job if the government didn't force me to be on the job. Without government special interest, your job security could be flimsy. The catch is I didn't want that job in the first place.
  19. Fulfilling basic requirements is far from being satisfactory. You can satisfy Beige at world-class level like olympians. You can be a weakling who manages to survive by eating junk food and sleeping on irregular schedule. If your Green is weakly developed, gravitating toward Green doesn't mean much because your Green thoughts would actually not be Green. You could easily confuse psychopathy with Green if you are weakly developed across the board. This explains how many psychopaths infiltrated environmental activist groups and various other supposedly Green groups. I see a lot of pseudo-Blue, pseudo-Orange, and pseudo-Green.
  20. Read about how long-term relationships and marriages fail in various ways. Also, you haven't lived long enough to transcend desire to actually have sex. I've lived long enough to transcend that desire.
  21. As leo said, don't have sex for months. If you don't have sex for 10 years, it will vaporize. It happened to me. I still have sexual desires, but I am not interested in actually spending my time and energy to have sex. I'm still struggling with masturbation, but it is largely under control.
  22. There are a lot of unconscious people who would line up after your job, so it's ok to fire every conscious teacher. I prefer unschooling which is legally allowed in texas.
  23. Hypergamy is only one way to interpret data. There are other ways to interpret the same data.
