  1. Just as a fun thought experiment if a very scientific rational guy said believing everything is one is just like believing in flat earth there is no evidence, just your perspective etc. How would you explain something that is post rational and something that is beyond language to such as person?
  2. Wow thanks guys, I am not kissing ass here but these are all really good answers even the "you can't" answers. I think a rationalist would have counter arguments to everyone of these explanations probably saying they are word games. This has definitely enlarged my understanding of oneness. Absolute truth is so challenging to put in words. I think relating oneness to the big bang and how everything was once one and the division is just in our minds would come not too much resistance.
  3. I agree the very progressive type or advanced western type or hippys at least to my interpretation in SD are stage green but in ED I wouldn't even put them at the archiver stage.
  4. No way, put yourself in your employer's position or of you wanted to start a business. Consider how much your are risking, consider what would happen to you if the business collapsed and you had to declare bankruptcy. Consider all the long hours you would have to put in when you first started the business. And most businesses are small business if your working for a huge corporation who would get never go bankrupt that is also something else. As a business owner you are a slave to your customers. Also it depends on which country you live in how developed the boss is. If you feel like a number and a slave make yourself more valuable and get hired by a higher consciousness business or go through the pain in stating your own. Cheers
  5. @Mada_ Your doing the right thing, worry about the degree to what you understand the material, question it, contrmplate it. Most people don't respect the learning process and think they understand the material or understand it at a logical level but not emotionally.
  6. I'll start of by saying I have a bit of experience with psychedelics I do them about once every year or two years. I also do meditation and have done spiritual work for 5 years now. (So now that I proved my credibility ) I bought Meo5 DMT free base form about a year ago, and recently about a month ago finally bought the vapor thing. I couldn't get my hands on the powdered form, I bought a test kit and it seemed ok. I don't offend take psychedelics unless it has been too long or I find of need some insights. Recently I've been super busy with just life stuff work and getting a new home and preparing for a child. I would describe my live right now as having lots of good stress in it. I live with my girlfriend and she was out doing errand with the mother for the day and will be back tonight. I woke up did my meditation and thought eh what the hell why not try this DMT thing. So reviewed how to use the vapor thing but in exactly 12mg of the good stuff. I actually screwed it up the first time and didn't get it working so I had to empty it all out and try again with another batch. Leo was right and all the things I read on it was correct the freebase form hits you fucking hard out of no where. But I already had some experience with strong psychedelics so just went to sit down in an upright position in my bed. The first few seconds I saw the normal psychedelic stuff patterns in the floor etc. I never do it to see cool things. Then I felt really really bad, like death was coming. I went into my bathroom for some reason and sat on the floor. I seriously thought I was going to die. And my first thoughts were 'shit, this is a stupid way to go, my girlfriend is going to find me on dead in the bathroom, going out rock star or actor style'. Maybe a minute passed or so I have no idea, time wasn't even a thing anymore. And then I literally forgot who I was. And was in an extremely confused state as to all the W's Who What Where and When. I looked in the mirror and then kind of remembered who I was and what had happened. Normally with other psychedelics I go through this very difficult to explain loop. Now that loop was magnified by 1000. My mind was going through this loop at million km per hour and again and again. There was nothing to see no patterns no nothing I was just in my head in this loop. And then it hit me. This part is almost impossible to put in words there are no words that can describe what happened because I think it is so alien to the human mind. So I am going to fuck up the explanation here. But I finally got it. I was going through my mind and everything that I have learned all of my personal experiences but somehow everyone and everything's experiences were coming together to this one moment that is always there but isn't pin pointed to one point in time. I wasn't myself I was everyone but I was myself. And I finally fucking got it. I finally understood what this life thing is all about I finally understood I was God. The loop that I have experienced vaguely with other psychedlics was explained. I finally experienced God and understood everything that all religions are trying to say, all of Leo's babble about how he is God. (Which I kind of understood logically but never understood at a super deep level). However I got a little too happy. I was now sitting in my bathroom yelling out loud ohh ohhh, ohhh like a was being hit by insights. Then I said OOOHHHHH!!! OHHHHHHHHHH. Oh my fucking GOD, oh my Fucking God!!! Holy Shit!!!. Holy FUCKING SHIT!!!! Ok I was definitely high but its not the same the state I was in was real. I finally got it. And I found the entire life thing so fucking funny. I started laughing like the Joker. It was the funniest thing I have ever experienced in my life. It was pure irony. I was laughing so hard on the floor I started kicking my legs around and I accidentally hit my girlfriend stand thing with all her expensive make up on it. But I found that so funny because normally I would be freaking out. I started laughing so hard not just at my life and all the stupid and smart decisions I have made but just life in general. I understood oneness at this point and thought it is going to be hilarious when I come home to find my makeup broken by myself. So I got up and was so happy I took the make up thing and smashed it about 5 times on the ground. And then started yelling and laughing that I am awake and a FUCKING AWAKE!. I said THANK YOU my idiot parents!, Thank you Hitler, thank you Einstein thank you my past self for also being an idiot thank you so much!! I saw got up and ran out my bathroom and saw my phone on my bed and looked at the time and ran out to my balcony and yelled its March 1st 10:00 in the morning and I FUCKING AWAKE!!! Then I went back inside, my laughing stopped at this point and I realized oh shit my girlfriend is going to be super pissed. The experience was now over but I had to clean up all the mess and quickly. To make matters worse the bloody police came by because it must have sounded to my neighbors like I just murdered someone. (I have thin walls). I wanted to explain to them that I everything is ok I just discovered I was God. But I made up some other bullshit story and will have to also make one up for my girlfriend. After I finished cleaning up the mess and I sat down and was like holy shit how can I explain this to anyone was it real?. I also reevaluated everything all the headache I had through to experience this buying a stupid vapor the drug and now I have to replace whatever damage I did. And thought worth it! I also shed a single tear for the first time in years and am so happy about life it all makes sense now. I also have some work to do from home so I should have done it when I had nothing to do but I am working and I fucking happy. I also felt a need to share this experience with others but also realized its pointless, its not even handy for you guys unless you have been through the experience yourself. Also we are all one so it doesn't even matter. So what can you get from this? I would not do this unless you have done lots of spiritual work, have experience with psychedelics and all that good stuff. The difference with this and mushrooms for example was after mushrooms I can say oh I see how I was being an prick or oh I should do this in my life. Here there was no lesson or lessons learned or self discovered this was at an entire different level. It is like what Leo said going to another universe and coming back. I don't know if my life will be improved or different I can't pin point it. I've experience something so radical so alien I feel now like my life will never be the same again but I cant explain how.
  7. I have a theory that I would like to involve others in and I think its something that gets overlooked. I do not want to debate the validity of the Myers Briggs here, for me I find the model is not perfect my any means but I find that I can fit people into the categories it has for people and it helps me better interact, understand people and myself in combination with other models. (You can skip the section below in between the lines if you know it already) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So a quick overview the Myers Briggs says basically that people lead by a primary cognitive function and have a secondary cognitive function that determines how you see the world and make decisions. And it is important to note that you have somewhere inside you all the functions but you lead with one. Similar to how you may be right handed but probably use your left hand for other things. There are 8 cognitive function but only will talk about 4 because it relates to my theory. Basically, the model says you are either primarily a sensing type or an intuitive type and those two types are then divided into introverted sensing or extroverted sensing and likewise introverted intuition or extroverted intuition. Its important to note that a majority of the worlds population is sensory roughly 70% and I find this in my daily life to be true. However I could imagine that if you are interested in this work or are even on this forum you are probably an intuitive type. I find Sensory people are every practical, and they have the advantage of being able to get things done, and being less so in lala land like an intuitive person. Sensory people life in the past and the now, where Intuitive people life in the future and love abstract ideas, they like thinking outside the box or about box itself. Intuitive people I find will internalize ideas for themselves where Sensory peoples believes and values come from the outside world. I also observe that sensory people are more likely to support whatever religion they were born into even though you would think they would not because they are more hands on and practical. But the thing is and this is the key different, is that Sensory people are not going to spend time thinking about the why or abstractions unless it is directly related to their survival. (If this is not detailed enough please read into the 8 cognitive functions) Sensory people I think have many benefits over Intuitive people for sure and one danger of being an Intuitive person even though you are less likely to succumb to group think and tribalism, because you take some idea from the outside world and carefully process it for yourself you are more so at risk at being disillusion and believing whole hearty in your own self disillusion. Where a sensory persons disillusion will more likely come from the outside world like some political idea. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Finally here is my theory, that Sensory people in order to self-actualize are at a significant disadvantage. I can quickly identify if someone is an intuitive or sensory person and even when a sensory person gets into spirituality or epistemology which will be at a much later stage in their life when they already every material thing they want, their understanding of it is extremely superficial. Here is a great example, if Jesus ever existed he was definitely an intuitive type, his followers with most people being sensory cannot (well not cannot but it takes them significantly more work) really understand his message, because sensory people are so practical they take things literal and have a hard time taking some abstract idea and applying it to their life. They work more so in if x then do y, and it is very difficult for them to understand the mathematical formula involved from why and how X becomes Y. This is not related to intelligence I interact daily with people far more intelligent than I am but if you talk to them about anything in self-help or any of Leo's topics even if they take a slight interest in it. For them it can only be arm chair philosophy because it requires going deep within yourself. I would argue that a strong sensory person is not going to understand what going deep within yourself even means and that even if they understand what it means they just would never do it because it is not practical enough. So what does this mean practically is what I wanted to discuss or if my observations have any truth to them. Also I wonder for Leo or any coaches if they either subconsciously or consciously realize this person I am talking to is either sensory or intuitive so let me cater the way I explain something to them.
  8. If you have been following Leo's work for years, doing the hard grueling work, reflecting over the content here and actually integrating these principles practically in your in your life you are probably at stage yellow or above. This post will help you communicate more efficiently to others and get your point across to others so that they understand something ( a lesson you have learned or some concept, or why you are doing what you are doing) at an emotional level. Warning: I have simply taken many concepts from Leo, and dozens of books, and my personal life experiences, this is extremely subjective and should not be taken literal, it has taken me a long time to become a better communicator and this is just what personally works for me. So if your offended I don't care and if you have something positive to add please share. AND in this work, your main concern should not be preaching, here a 90-10 rule should be applied, worry about applying your ideas, and principles to your own life and don't worry about spreading it to others. Worry about picking up your own trash and doing what your can for the environment (as an example) and not going out on some vendetta to FIX others from polluting, it a waste of time, your energies are better spent on monitoring yourself and your own actions. I'll stick to two examples, 1. Your explaining why your doing this work, 2. Your trying to encourage someone close to you to get into shape. 1. Firstly people don't care unless it relates to their ego or survival, and they pay attention to something that either supports them being Happy, Successful, having Freedom and they need to be reminded of this generally every 10mins. 2A. There is also a rule called the Golden Circle, do not start with the What start with the WHY. You will lose people with starting with the what because it may imply change (which takes effort) and they will tune out, many people make this mistake. DO NOT start with the What (exercises they can do in the gym) , or what practices you are doing (yoga, meditation, self inquiry) they don't care. At best it's interesting but they will not understand. Start with the Why, go to How, then lastly to the What. This is will vary vastly based on the type of person you are speaking to. Also do not share more than 3 things people cannot handle more than 3 things at a time. 2B. Before you go further, the most important thing you need to consider is, does this person have strong defensive mechanisms? Is this person even open to change or capable of giving a shit about the path your on or some idea you are going to share with them? If this person has a history of stagnation, you need to look at yourself and ask why you feel compelled to help this person or share some idea you have, is it ego? It is a pure waste of time and you know it. I wouldn't waste my energy, in many cases if someone is going through something your better off not offering a solution and just supporting them emotionally. This happens with many guys and their girlfriends, where the girlfriend just wants to express their emotions and is not interested in fixing anything or sharing ideas, if that is you just be there for them and that's it. Here is a general rule, the MORE resistant that person or persons are to change the more you will have to explain something so it hits them emotionally, you hit them emotionally by relating something to their ego or something that relates to their survival. I would also consider the emotional state that person is in, in that moment. Depending on if that person at their core aims for growth or aims for defending the status quo or stagnation (which can include simply forgetting any lessons learned) when someone is in a state of recovering from some pain this is when they may be the most open to change. Timing is everything, if someone just went on a eating binge for example, not when they are feeling bad about the aftermath but when they are recovering from the aftermath may be the best time to motivate them to get in shape, with some people if you miss that, lets call it their openness period they will not be open to change when everything is normal because they can't see why they would put in any effort (which may include simply considering your point of view and no physical action from their side). In summary consider if they are a grower or a defender, and the emotional state they are in at that moment, and their history. 3. Assess who you are talking to what stage they are at so you can meaningfully convey your message. If your talking to an large audience you need to incorporate a mix of both. And few people are hardly purely A or B but on some spectrum between A and B. 3A. The Masculine Versus Feminine In this context everyone has both, and this is just a model, and in certain settings a person can switch from one to the other for example at work the person is masculine and home in a family setting feminine. If I missed something here it is probably addressed later and remember in this context masculine does not mean the person you are talking to is a man its 2019, if you've have been following Leo's material you will understand In this context masculine refers to what has typically helped men survive and the feminine to what has typically helped women survive from a biological perspective. The masculine values ideas, concepts, tangible achievement, moving up the hierarchy, and overcoming challenges. The feminine is going to NOT be interested in ideas, and concepts I wouldn't even bother presenting something as an idea to someone who is extremely feminine (again a woman in 2019 may in this context have some masculine qualities and for sure the other way round). The feminine is going to value anything that supports improving relationships, stability, comfort, avoidance of conflict, and of course positive feelings. These are some points I would hit when explaining the Why, How, and What in that order. 3B. What stage are they at in the Spiral? This relates to their values, Blue is going to value, tradition, things that positively support their beliefs, and the norm/status quo. This also changes depending on the setting, work/school is going to be more blue than you think, generally explaining things within the current framework to best conveys a message. Even though your co-worker/teacher may be Green at home and out of the office they can be very Blue at work/school. Explain things within their framework and then push it just a little but do not go overboard I would not push things outside the bubble. Unless you work at Google or something like that, then you can challenge the norms. Explaining this self-actualization work to a blue person you may want to point out the similarities of this work to the positive points of religion without challenging their beliefs, they are most likely not ready to be challenged in their beliefs or at best it will end up in some debate which is a waste of time. Orange is going to value some external thing that can either make them Happy, Successful, or give them more Freedom. Good luck, getting a strong orange to look within, not going to happen. They will not understand things like consciousness or being, they may be interested but to motivate behavior change if that is what you are attempting; being in a state of happiness might be a cool idea but that is all it can be is an idea. For them to understand, you would have to present being in shape as something you externally obtain, and in combination with considering if they are masculine or feminine this is gold. Green, I live in a very Green environment and I personally find Green to value like Blue, beliefs but those that relate to most likely global warming, veganism etc. They also are motivated by freedom, and not so much success. I would make success my weakest point for motivation. Green is tricky but I really find they value human connection, however only to those who support their beliefs, and they really value the easiest path and avoiding conflict, or adversity. I would not present going to the gym in such a way that if you go to the gym and eat right you will achieve some success in your life. But rather that you will not have to deal with some future pain/suffering. I find Green really is motivated and values Happiness in the lack of suffering or conflict basically you may have to present the hard route as the easy route. Yellow I will not cover because they will value whatever you are saying as they love models, concepts and growth. 3C. Are they a linear, or a nonlinear thinker. Most people I find are linear thinkers, so I will explain a nonlinear thinker. A nonlinear thinker thinks in webs. You present 1 idea it sparks a chain of other ideas. A nonlinear thinker can connect two things where a linear people CANNOT. A strong linear thinker is incapable of connecting two different seemingly unrelated ideas, also abstract ideas are just that, abstract ideas. For a linear thinker you will literally have make that connection for them they will not do it on their own. Examples that do not relate to them will not resonate with them don't say its like 'Baking a cake blah blah blah'. If you want to hit them emotionally, paint a picture of their future or what could be that relates to a human being in their situation for example how they could be an overweight person who gets tired walking up the stairs, or how they could be that guy with a six pack surrounded by several 9HB's (if their a masculine orange). 3D. If they are Thinkers or Feelers Do not mistake this for being masculine or feminine. If you accidentally spill a glass of water on your pants on a hot day, a feelers first reaction is going to be emotionally, to some liquid dampening their pants, a thinker is first going to logically think around the repercussions of the situation then react emotionally. Feelers value connection, and communicate primarily with feelings not what is being said. Therefore if you conveying a message to a feeler you better use mirroring. Mirroring is where you feel something and the other person feels what your feeling. Your words are not that important, how you say something is. In groups, people turn to feelers. In explaining why you do this self-actualization work you want to feel the happiness, peace, and self-acceptance and radiate those emotions that they can achieve if they do the What. Also painting an emotional picture of what can be, express the feelings you will feel when you are in shape. When there is a misunderstanding or some conflict, you want to express your feelings and relate to their feelings, come to common ground by relating to the feeling you may have triggered in them if you offended them or hurt their ego. If you want to build empathy with someone (a very close connection) express what feelings you had that led you to take that action. For a strong thinker feelings are like empty words. They will value your credibility so make that a point. They also will value things numerically for example if your in shape you will be able to lift X kilos. When you are in conflict with a thinker, level with them by explaining what logically steps led you to that conclusion or intent. Build empathy also with numbers/facts, before I was in shape I couldn't run X kilometres and now I can run Z. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've never been good with conclusions so.... I hope this is helpful to you guys. Thanks.
  9. @Bill W I have lots of personal notes but have not shared anything yet, which I will do. I would definitely take a month or two to review Spiral Dynamics I have read lots of material over it and I can say Leo covers it sufficiently in many way better than the books (possibly due to him having over 15 hours of content). Look into it and most importantly apply it, it is a very practical model that you can use in almost every facet of your life. Of course it is just a model so as Leo says "Don't confuse the map for the territory".

  11. Thanks, those are really interesting topics too to explore and all every much related.
  12. Leo, I notice their is a lot of resistance for people generally when you talk about having higher goals, and not being like the norm. I think for a lot of people, they really do not understand not even logically why meritocracy is bad and of course I mean bad as Leo would use the word bad not in some absolute sense.
  13. I had a friend who was going through some hard time, and I just suggested strategic thinking and even in that I his ego make every excuse not to change. Leo goes on about eliminating the ego and this has to do with climbing up the spiral. What I have noticed though as I move up the spiral I find it a little more difficult to communicate with other people without seeming like a hippie, or sounding philosophical with some people. Maybe Leo can make a video about some tips with either communicating with the other people based on maybe how high their ego is or where they are on the spiral. And then getting even better at identifying and even lessening your own ego when you have already made some big achievements.
