I had the same idea about "remembering" about focusing on smth. It didn't work. Does it work for u? How often do you remember about that? I found more useful to make body scan during daily repetitive acts like brushing teeth or taking a walk. -

Hey, I would like to deepen my meditation, however, still only a few minutes without thought seems possible for me. I played with Do Nothing, Feel-Hear-See, Breathing techniques, Deep concentration Any recommendations for techniques which will prolong the no-thought meditation state?

How to measure the effectiveness of meditation technique? It's very personal. Check this: https://sites.google.com/site/psychospiritualtools/Home/meditation-practices -

I've checked out literally hundreds of guided courses and meditations, most of them are very similar and I am not able to learn more there. But thanks for your reply Hmmmm nice, I will ponder that, no doubt. How to strip away the illusion of time? By removing the thoughts about time, about existence of past and future. However this seems not enough, I will dig deeper. Thanks for the advice. -

Nice, thanks for sharing If you like such books, Science of Enlightenment by Shinzen Young is pretty good. -

For more than 20 years I had overlooked nature almost AT ALL. This so called "path" helped me to find what you've written. I wouldn't describe it better. Thank you. -

Hahhaa, it makes me sad, too long -
and don't discourage yourself at the beginning 'cos it's pretty hard, as it has become a sort of habit for u. Relaxation is a key here I guess, do before 5 min of deep breathing, keep your shoulders down, relax, smile and it will be better. Everybody does, don't worry

I set the timer for 20 minutes. Meditation, meditation, meditation, thought arises! "in 15 seconds it will start ringing" then it rings. I guess the answer for ur question is yes. I started to observe this showing up of this thought. Second thing is that even though I set the timer for 20 minutes, several sessions feel like 40 minutes and several like 3 minutes. -

I am super curious about your experience with stress after months/years/decades of self-actualization. When I started this path I was full of anxiety (90% of each day was filled by stress), after 2,5 year I experience it from time to time and I am extremely aware about this feeling and where it is located in my body. What about u? Do u still feel nervous to speak in front of big audience or you have a wet hands after conversation with hot girl? What about your awareness during these moments? Which practice allowed you to get rid of it? Meditation, self-inquiry, both? Stress is emotion which I am contemplating the most and I would really appreciate your answers.

Personally, I was not prepared for such intensity of emotions, I guess girls are more prepared for that or not. Lately, I've been working on authenticity as Leo emphasized this part. Just waiting for the results. Perfect for my close friend. As I'm a quite a bit on self-actualization journey, I am searching for tool to increase my awareness during daily struggles. Currently, for instance, is quite hard for me to become and stay fully present during long conversations or while presenting something in front of big audience. However, I will stick to meditation and self-inquiry, should be enough for now. Thanks guys for answers.

Thanks @Arkandeus. Powerful. you are saying that stress is guiding you. Sometimes these "stress instructions" are not very apparent. They are lying deep down in our psyche. What is your way to pull them out? Long contemplation? or u have some specific technique.

If for 20 years I'd been building my web of belief and then discovered meditation, started self-reflection practice and had a few glimpses of ego death I assume that anxiety level on a daily basis would lower due to meaninglessness of past ego assumptions. In my contamplation I am looking for the best practice to heal this anxiety, then to suggest someone close to me this practice.

I understand hope as expectaction or desire for particular thing to happen in future. Faith - blindly trust in something or a strong belief without self-reflection. Sounds kind of negative, but this is my understanding. However it's only words, I would rather suggest to contemplate a lot inwardly what it means for you and all inner associations. I am not sure if other people definitions would help you.
