Ramana Maharshi transcended the death brother. If you are in coma or deep sleep, very deep sleep can slap wake you? That's why Ramana Maharshi says that you are closest to who you are when you are in deep sleep.

If I slap you, would you be in bliss? If you are not you choose to not be slapped, that's a preference therefore attachment.

But aren't any preferences related with attachment? Because you choosed to prefer that?

So, enlightenment is transcending the death. Which mean is permanent no self. No any survival needs, including the survival.

Are you afraid of death?

The main understanding is any personal desires creates fear or suffering. Such as survival. İf you want to be alive that's personal desire and you will fear from death. Therefore, transcending the survival need will help you to surrender the fear of death.

You were stuck. You have to go deeper till meet and be in love.

Personal desires and Truth is completely two opposite sides. Giving up the person, and loosing everything as a person makes one much closer to Truth. When You lose everything You are free to do anything. Fight Club.
