In nutshell, i have serious addiction e.g compulsive porn and internet use, also chronic procrastination (Probably about 9 years so far). For years, I have tried so many things but i often just fall back to the old habits. I already know very the consequences of these terrible habits, but it's very difficult for me to stop it.
There is even one video from Leo Gura that basically say 'All other attempt to fix addiction is not really useful, because those fixes will be just sort of distraction from the addiction, but the addiction itself will show up in another time, in another form. The only way to fix this issue is to face 'the emptiness itself' (or basically he suggest to meditate)'
So basically here are my questions
1. From your experience, do practicing TMI help to fix addiction/compulsive behavior?
2. In your opinion, do you agree with what Leo Gura say that 'facing the emptiness (or meditation) is the only real solution of addiction'
I have tried to do the practice that Leo suggest in the video (basically labeling, do-nothing, strong determination), though it's not routine enough so probably i have not seen enough progress from it. That's why i ask you guys whether it's really worth it to take this meditation path seriously.
Thanks for your help, any kind of advice is appreciated.
