  1. I'm reading King, Warrior, Magician and Lover by Robert Moore and Doug Gillette and I'm finding it pretty interesting.
  2. Please, explain it better. I understand such movements have a lot of toxicity, but they also hold some truth. It's visible that feminism has gone too far and many women are psychologically (some physically) castrating their sons and few people address this problem. From your video about How To Be A Man, your tip about having sex with a lot of women would be seen as sexist by many feminist men and women. I'm not saying your tip is not a good idea, but it may disturb some people. For example, the topic 5 of this article here https://brasil.elpais.com/brasil/2019/01/22/estilo/1548175107_753307.html says it's a characteristic of toxic masculinity this kind of "pressure" of having sex with many women (the article is in Brazilian Portuguese, but maybe you can understand some stuff about it if you use Google Translate). And man, if a guy wants to have sex with women, he needs to approach (at least, most sex I had happened just when I approached women).
  3. I don't mean this kind of approach at all. By the way, in the Gillette commercial, they just put a man who wants to approach a woman and another dude comes to him blocking his passage (as if he was going to abuse her or whatever). You can't predict what a man is going to do that way. No wonder the Gillette commercial got 1.500.000 dislikes on YouTube. So, that's the problem. In this example, approaching women = toxic masculinity, intead of approaching women with abusive behaviors = toxic masculinity.
  4. Maybe your country has a different culture. But, for example, the Gillette video We Believe: The Best Men Can be portrays as a toxic a man who just approaches a woman.
  5. I consider general masculinity being pro-active, taking risks, taking the lead, working on your physical strength, being a ruler, respecting hierarchies, being rational and being a warrior (it requires some emotional detachment), but I think it's also being kind, express your emotions even through crying (as @Shadowraix said). having empathy and being an artist. In my vision, it's a very integrated male, but he still have some characteristics that may trigger other people.
  6. I'm still studying at university but I worked at some jobs (including at very good companies). In this case, it seems to be a matter of going out and talking to people. You can even go out to nightclubs if you will. I study Animation Design, so it's important to have a very well fashioned resumé (maybe it's important for formal jobs too). Sometimes I feel it's kind like going out to meet women: you try, get rejected, learn, try again, get rejected, learn, try again, get rejected, learn, try again, get rejected, learn... I wish I knew sanyone else who could help with tips to land a job, but the best one I know is Thomas Frank.
  7. But still people in Brazil have a very different level of consciousness. I understand there are amazing people here, but I want exchange. Yeah, man, the elections showed a little bit of Brazilian shadows.
  8. I really need a low-stress life because I have schizoaffective disorder (or maybe I'm an empath or sensitive). I wonder where I can find on this world a Tier 2 company. I worked at a very famous start-up here in Brazil, but I was not able to handle the pressure. It was too much for me and I got depressed easily. Which are Tier 2 companies on this world? I want to work hard, but balance is primordial for me.
  9. Maybe working at a Green company it's possible. It's important for me to match my values and goals to the company I'll work.
  10. I have to search for these companies. The thing is I really love cold/dark places. I saw some photos of Finland and they're awesome! Here in Brazil is too much heat. Today it's so warm that I woke up sweating a lot. I literally can't stand it too much. I'd rather drink coffee in a frozen mountain. Our people have a different level of consciousness, what makes my development a bit stuck. I think Finland or any Scandinavian country may help my development (and I love snow, ice, pine forests, mountains and the cold).
  11. Lol, that would be great. I don't want to work right now because I'm studying at college, but it would be great to work with Leo. Despite pegging myself on Green, I do have many Yellow values (probably in development). I think I really need to live in a different country than Brazil (maybe a Green country like Finland) and work at at least a Green company.
  12. Thank you! I just found the idea amazing. But I wonder how they have profit with the search engine.
  13. @Andreas, maybe I can use Spiral Dynamics just to understand the perspectives of my professors. It's an Animation Design course, so it has some shades of Green due to acceptance of LGBTQ and feminism. @JohnnyBravo, I never took LSD neither any entheogens. I think it's possible to do a lot of emotional work without them. But I didn't take them yet because I'm on medicines (Schizoaffective Disorder, but maybe my diagnosis will change to just Bipolar). @Serotoninluv, thank you! I think your career explains a lot your nickname, lol. My college allows some fluidity, but there are still some strict disciplines. It's nice to learn that you work with neuroscience! I'm diagnosed with Schizoaffective Disorder, but my psychiatrist is not very sure about this diagnosis (maybe I have just Bipolar). I like the explanation created by Sean Blackwell regarding to Bipolar Disorder because he uses Spiral Dynamics to explain it. But, yeah, I think using Spiral Dynamics in my academic works depends even on the professor.
  14. Hi, guys! Do you use Spiral Dynamics in your academic works? Here in Brazil, I noticed that maybe our universities are very Orange and going towards Green. My professors, for example, state firmly their rational-scientific thinking and are very against religion (reactive to it) admitting they're atheists. There are some few professors who seem to be Green and, if I'm not wrong, there are even Spiral Wizard professors who try to integrate every aspect of the spiral. I wonder how I can use Spiral Dynamics (and similar models) in my academic works. Is it okay to do so? Or will I face extreme opposition of my professors? One of the statements of my university is 'Ars et Scientia', Arts and Science. I think this statement opens doors towards aspects of spirituality and consciousness. What are your experiences? How do you use Spiral Dynamics and similar models in your academic work? Is Spiral Dynamics considered science? How can I build arguments to use Spiral Dynamics? I study Animation Design, but I'm studying many theoretical disciplines like Scientific Research, Ethics and Sustainability.
  15. If we consider we are an extension of God/Source, Leo is talking to us and, at the same time, to himself.
  16. I just realized that I have to find the sweet spot. When I interact in pick-up artistry forums and groups like RSD Nation's Facebook Groups, I realize that there are guys who are extremely manipulative and practically jerks. When I interact in, for example, spiritual forums and groups like Actualized.org and Teal Tribe, I realize that there are guys who are extremely against pick-up artistry and almost deny their own masculinity. I have to find the balance between these two extremes. Maybe it's about integration, and not fragmentation. It's said the Divine Masculine is too much about movement. When I get too much spiritual, I almost get no movement. But when I get more seductive, I take a lot of initiative. Both are important.
  17. I think you mean Divine Masculine, right? I studied the concept masculinity taught by David Deida and I also heard about Divine Masculine in one of the Teal Swan's videos (she says the Divine Masculine is about initiative, action, purpose, movement, responsibility, strength, focus, material abundance, fatherhood, generosity, encouragement, transformation and growth). I kind agree with her. I'll take a look at him. Thank you! Edit: I watch this vid and found it very fascinating.
  18. I smoked weed three times and I felt a bit bad after that. I heard Teal Swan saying it depends on you vibrational state.
  19. I'm reading The Anatomy of Loneliness by Teal Swan and what I get is that Teal talks about a kind of loneliness caused by fragmentation. You can be among a crowd of friends and still be lonely. I think that's why some of her initial exercises from the book is to seek for things in the other person that you can integrate in yourself. I'm still reading the book and it's very interesting. I don't know too much about Leo's approach towards loneliness, but I'm loving Teal's approach and I really relate to it. She's a wonderful teacher.
  20. That's nice @Aquarius I hope you get the best treatment! Hugs from Brazil!
  21. Hey, @kieranperez! At first, thank you! You were always a kind person with me. Work on self-love, man. Maybe Teal Swan's books can help you, but just her video about self worth will help a lot. She's a very kind person and understand a lot about how to be kind with people. "When we plant a rose seed in the earth, we notice that it is small, but we do not criticize it as "rootless and stemless." We treat it as a seed, giving it the water and nourishment required of a seed. When it first shoots up out of the earth, we don't condemn it as immature and underdeveloped; nor do we criticize the buds for not being open when they appear. We stand in wonder at the process taking place and give the plant the care it needs at each stage of its development. The rose is a rose from the time it is a seed to the time it dies. Within it, at all times, it contains its whole potential. It seems to be constantly in the process of change; yet at each state, at each moment, it is perfectly all right as it is." - Timothy Gallwey I hope the best for you. If you want to talk or anything, you can PM me Hugs
  22. @Aquarius, yeah, Orange is needed, but don't forget it's closed to new paradigms, especially spiritual ones. It's quite easy for Orange people to say you have a disorder that obliges you taking medicines for the rest of your life. There's a lot of crime inside of Orange too, especially those practiced by Big Pharma. But yeah, you can find healthy Orange. I think there are Orange researches pointing that schizotypal personality gets better with time.
  23. That's a very Orange paradigm oriented by bad science.
  24. Lol, what a wonderful experience! When I realized I was in a dream, I just tried to jump through a window. It was not possible because the window was closed. Then I opened my bedroom's window and started to fly. Everything was very lucid and it was amazing! I saw a wonderful bridge nearby my house and then I woke up (around to 15-20 minutes ago). The sensation of flying is wonderful! What a empowerment! Before having a lucid dream, I felt a type of tingling on my head. Once I felt this same type of tingling when I was in a sleep paralysis. I want to study more about astral projection and lucid dreaming. The experience is wonderful! From nightmares to lucid dreaming. I love it!
  25. I had other lucid dreams before and I remembered that, when in a lucid dream, I can fly. The first thing I wanted to do when I realized I was in a lucid dream was to have fun flying. Edit: I just discovered that it's possible to work on healing while in a lucid dream. I'm more aware of it, so, the next time, I'll use the opportunity to dream in a clever way.
