I think spirituality is all about empathy, but, anyway, people will come with things like: "Oh, you're not your mind." or "Oh, you're not your emotions" and etc. Many of them are resisting having empathy for others because, when they feel what others are feeling, the may experience some of their own emotions that they suppresed.

Leo is a great speaker and much of his content is mindblowing. You can see that he's serious about his work. I just don't agree with this statement, but it's okay because Leo probably never had psychosis or experienced the misery of it. There's a guy called Sean Blackwell who have done a great work with explaining mental "diseases" using the Spiral Dynamics model. Sean is a Holotropic Breathwork facilitator certified by Grof Transpersonal Training.

Just had a problem with a friend and I was thinking many things about her: "she's a bitch!", "how dare her do it to me?", "it's not correct!", "Why she is such a jerk?!", etc So I was having many negative thoughts about her due to a tiny problem. After reading some articles on the internet on how to deal with it, I realized I had just to express my feelings (even if the problem seemed to be very tiny). I expressed my feelings to her and she was very kind to me. It was impressive how all my thoughts about her just changed! Now I admire her even more! I was always very closed about my feelings. Even if it's a "tiny" thing that bothers you, you should express what you're feeling. Maybe that "tiny" thing upsets you a lot. But being honest with people is a huge relief and it helps us to connect with them. I'm astonished of how just expressing what I was feeling was much more better than avoiding conflict and repressing my feelings.

I searched on the forum, but found nothing about The Big Five personality test. It's a personality test that measures 5 types of factors: Openness to experience; Conscientiousness; Extraversion; Agreeableness; Neuroticism. It's said The Big Five is the personality test with most scientific validity (for the scientific community, of course). You may want to take a look about these traits on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Five_personality_traits I took the Understand Myself by Jordan Peterson which is a personality test based on Big Five. I felt insulted because it showed mostly negative traits of myself (even on the description of my traits). I felt I was a piece shit floating on the ocean. My self-esteem got pretty bad after the assessment. I took other The Big Five tests and I got more accurate results: High Neuroticism (I'm really neurotic, but I don't think it's a fixed trait); Low Extraversion (I tend to be more introvert, but I still have many social skills); High Openess To Experience (I'm all about new ideas); High Agreeableness (yes, I'm a people pleaser yet); Low Conscientiousness (yep, I'm pretty lazy, but I still believe I can integrate my disciplined shadow better). So what are your thoughts on The Big Five? Have you ever taken it? If you want to take the test, here it is: https://bigfive-test.com/

I'll take a look at Bradon Sanderson. I really love Robert Fisher, Sara Pennypacker, Bernard Cornwell and Tolkien. I also read some more entertaining focused books such as Batman, Wayne of Gotham, Hugh Laurie and others.

Does Netflix have moral to talk about cults? They make millions of people addicted to series and movies. WTF? -

Tarot, astrology, Oracle Cards, divination, runes... all of it is fun as hell! -
@Leo Gura it makes sense. But Peterson doesn't seem so judgemental about transgender people. I think he just doesn't like those Canadian laws about gender pronouns, objection that seems to be fair (but maybe I'm being naïve about Peterson). But, yeah, even though Peterson says he isn't righr-wing, he has a lot of conservative views (what makes me feel that something is off about him). Anyway, he's judgemental with mentally ill people and, after watching some of his videos, I felt hopeless and like a crap. JP fans would say that it was me who didn't understand the nuances of his speech, which makes me feel I'm dumb as fuck.

@RobertZ just took this test. I have average levels of humility, extraversion, emotionality and agreeabless, high level of openess to experience and low level of conscientiousness. Just working on my laziness.

Very sad what happened to Peterson and his wife. Weaning off some psychiatric drugs is really hard, especially if they cause dependency. I'm slowly weaning off aripiprazole (antipsychotic) and the slightest amount of dose I decrease causes me a lot of withdrawal symptoms after one or two months. But, yeah, Peterson yelled a lot of shit about people who get bullied in childhood and even about miserable people, saying that many of them are not very worthy of helping. I hope he gets better and also changes his points of view.

Of course, a self-help book may just say: you have to love yourself. But the conversation between the Rabbit and Alice in Alice In The Wonderland is much more powerful than a logical straight message. Another example is even intelectual development. Benard Cornwell's books may teach some stuff about Britain's history in a joyful way. I think it's almost like learning English. If English is not your mother tongue, you'll find a lot of benefits when learning it with music. It's possible to mix fun and learning sometimes.

I don't know about vaccines (if they're good or not), but from my background with the mental health system, I don't doubt that the vaccine industry would take advantage of people.

@Septicaema it makes sense. It's impossible to become a Spiral Wizard when attacking Trump supporters. We just have to accept people as they are and, from that, interact with them.

Hey, guys! Just learned some stuff about Kundalini Syndrome and talked to some people who are professionals on this field. I activated my Kundalini in 2015 and, right after that, I had "psychosis". Kundalini is an energy that circulates from the base of the spine and goes towards the head. I can feel this energy flowing inside of me and, when I feel it, I have a type of "tingling" where the energy pass through. But I didn't have a peaceful activation. As I said, I had a lot of mental problems due to my Kundalini Activation. They call it Kundalini Syndrome. I want to learn more about it in order to use Kundalini for my benefit. I heard going to nature may help, but I don't always have access to it. Any guys here relate? How did you deal with Kundalini Syndrome?

@lmfao it's really interesting. I took the Enneagram test and I'm most Individualist. It's very accurate. Even my horoscope is accurate (I'm Leo). It makes a lot of sense.

I like your excitement! It looks like a child who just earned the gift she most wanted during Christmas. Maybe you just realized you can attract whatever you want, so it brought you a lot of excitement. I hope you don't die in order to manifest all your desires! -
I love your drawing! Just subscribed to your channel. I'm an artist too and I was also diagnosed with schizophrenia. I don't identify myself with the diagnosis at all. This is a drawing I created today for a memory game:

Lol! Laughed hard at this! Family Values are too overrated. Of course when people talk about Family Values, they don't mean Soul Family. I just agree with Blood Family just if it comes from a healthy place. Blood Family is not that big deal. Many people are gaslit and abused by their Blood Family. Can't understand very well why Right Wings love Blood Family so much.

I was watching a kind of a lecture on YouTube of a local university (it's a federal university actually). I studied there for more than 4 years, but I couldn't stand the ideologies and had a lot of depression and other mental health issues, so I dropped out. The video was essentially about the Development Ideology, the idea that we have to develop our country here in Brazil and that in order to evolve, we need progress. It talked a lot about our history with dictatorship and how Capitalism corrupted us and the world. I really like many ideas of the video, but I still can't buy one of their ideas: "the burgeois are the enemy." (they clearly state it in the video) They also talked a lot about Bolivarianism and Socialism. I understand that Capitalism is not a perfect system, but I think it's too extreme to say that the burgeois are the enemy, that Socialism is perfection and that rich people just explore others. It comes from a university where I studied, where I have many friends and acquaintances and that influences a lot the young people of my city and country. My social circle is a lot about people that have such mindset (even because I studied Graphic Design there, so guys tended to be left wings). What do you think about it? Why these people think the burgeois are the enemy? How people with such mindset behave? How to communicate with them in order to exchange useful information and have a productive conversation? By the way, is it an unhealthy aspect of Green? Because, really, I like some ideas of them, but I still can't buy this idea that rich people are bad. I want to understand them better. Edit: sorry for posting on Self-Actualization, because it should be in Society, Environment, Government, Politics section. My mistake.

@Leo Gura projection is a good way to describe their behavior. Thank you We still can work for sure on income inequality, because Capitalism may explore people a lot. But the person herself needs to be aware of her own value. @CreamCat good point! @Apparition of Jack not sure of it. It depends on the needs of each one. A materialistic person may never get satisfied even if she earned U$ 1,000,000,000.00 a year. But a world-traveller may find it enough to make just U$ 100,000.00 a year for his/her travels and lifestyle. But, yeah, if you mean people who can't make money even to buy food, it's for sure a negative impact on the quality of life.

You're welcome, bro

Hey, man! Just found your thread very interesting. I live in Brazil and I also find it difficult to find people I can relate with. I peg myself in Orange-Green, but if I consider I have some psychic abilities, maybe I can even peg myself in Turquoise (but it's probably a tiny Turquoise, just a taste). I have been trying to find Green people, so I go to spiritual circles, sometimes do yoga classes and go meet some artists. Going to nightclubs haven't been working for me anymore because these kind of environments are generally very Orange and many times toxic as fuck. Actually, I practically have no friends. Yes, I have some people I hang around and talk to, but I don't feel a deep connection. When I find good souls, I get really shy, as if I don't deserve to have so cool and nice friends. I feel I'm unworthy of having these friends. Maybe I should contact them.

Thank you! I have many close people that I can't just stay away that have this kind of ideology. It's really difficult to have a conversation with them, but I was willing to try. The idea of being a role model is a good one.
-
I think it's the same for Brazil. We're moving from Blue towards Orange here and, with Bolsonaro, we can clearly see a lot of resistance.

I think it's okay to read fiction books and watch movies. There are many fiction books that teach empathy. They also teach life lessons and can even give us some impulse to live life and help with our creativity. The same for movies. Art is a very awesome entertainment by the way.
