  1. @ashashlov Our perception can be deceiving sometimes, so can fear and insecurities can get the better of us, especially when we want so badly to fit in, be accepted, be noticed and have some importance in the world. One thing I have learnt the hard way, is take what everyone says and does as a grain of salt. I listen to all feedback and what people have to say and appreciate others people's views and opinions but I will never let it define me and who I choose to become. One of the greatest gifts we have been given is the power of choice and decisions, we freely can create our future and train our mind to think and be a certain way. This takes practice and time and yes things like meditation and working on self love helps us to manage these intense feelings sometimes. If you think you are being rejected just simply ask yourself, is this going to matter tomorrow, next week, next year? will this person be apart of my life for the long term? what does this person who is "rejecting me" mean to me? If none of these things matter, then you have nothing to worry yourself sick over. Focus more on you and the person you want to become without anyone else's validation. You are awesome and unique and if people don't accept you for the way you are, then bye bye to them =)
  2. @aryberry I am a little confuse with what you are trying to figure out but some tips for you if you are looking to make some life adjustments: * Make a morning, afternoon and night ritual for yourself. For me this consist of meditation, exercise, meal planning and going over my schedule. * Eat more vegetables and salads (I know this is common sense) but people don't realise just how much changing your diet helps with mental clarity, energy and concentration levels. Try and stay away from processed and package foods (especially sugar) as this does more harm to your body and good. Sure you get short bursts of energy but it doesn't last and if you are not an active person, you tend to put on weight and can develop a lot of health issues in the future. Try and stay away from canned foods and things in plastic as there are metals and chemicals released into your food (overtime this causes our bodies to become sick) which affects how we perform in everyday life. * Read more books on topics you are interested in or documentaries to expend you mind even more. It is all well and good to just keep copying other but why not just see what others are doing and saying and make it into your own way of doing things? * Surround yourself with positive people and try to eliminate stress and negative influences from your life (sometimes this can be certain tv shows we watch that play on our subconscious mind). Listening to motivational speakers, coaches, people who have what I want and hearing how they became successful is what really helped me become a life coach myself, I did a lot of personal development work, and life tested me by putting me through a lot of tough and challenging situations and my decisions and choices I made at the time, reflects my outcome that I have today. It wasn't easy but some things we go through are to build us into stronger people and the person we are meant to become.
  3. @Nana_Kh There is always room for improvement and chances to be better and do better. For example, I remember in a martial arts class, I couldn't keep up with everyone else because I was so unfit and everyday I would still show up and give it my all, even though I wasn't as fast and string like everyone else in the class, and when it came to the test at the end of the month, I failed and cried all weekend because I was the only one who didn't get to move to the next level in my class. Does this mean I am a failure? I gave it my best and tried my hardest. Although I was behind everyone else and after throwing myself a pity party, I decided to do extra training to build strength so I would not fail another class, and I passed. Determination and perseverance got me through the difficult time. I love martial arts and I wasn't ready to give it up or give up on myself because I knew the possibilities for me are endless and I needed to get in the right mindset in order to achieve anything going forward. You need to make a plan on things you can do to be better and prepared for next time, did you get given any feedback? maybe think outside the box this time, maybe go that extra mile to what they are looking for? You can get all the advice in the world, but execution is key. Your not a failure unless you give up trying. All the best
  4. @MochaSlap You have to understand everyone is different in the way they think and interpret information. People's perceptions are different and constantly changing and it all comes from growth of understanding and belief. For example, as a health expert, I can tell you the secret to cure cancer is diet and a medical professional can tell you the cure to cancer is medication because it is scientifically proven - who are you going to believe? Sometimes it is a person's strong belief system in what they believe to be true, makes it right and a fact to that individual person. As a life coach myself, I can say "coaches are more effective in mental health, than doctor's". Doctors will tell you "coaches aren't experience in medicine, what would they know". It all comes down to personal belief and what you think is right and true to you. There is a way to express your opinion and thoughts about any given topic without coming across as arogant, ignorant and mr I think I know everything and your opinion is crap. There is also a way to express your views and back it up with evidence, without sounding like I'm right and your wrong. It all comes down to the art of communication and accepting, everyone has a right to their own beliefs and opinions and you don't always have to agree with what other people say but merely appreciate their view and you can just think to yourself 'I don't believe that person is right or what they are saying is true and that is okay, because I believe and know....'. You just need to be open about the way you look and perceive things.
  5. @Callum Milner You should definitely think strategically about your decision. I have known people who finish school up until year 10 with no degree and they have started businesses and been successful because they worked really hard and were smart enough to have a plan before making such a big decision. Sometimes things don't go according to plan but at least you have a blue print of how you would like things to be if you don't go to college. However personally for me, I think education is so important. Not only to look good on paper and find a secure job but knowledge is power, the more you know and learn the more you will grow as a person and it looks really good when people want to do business with you. They will think ' this person id education and knows a lot,' and they will build trust in you. Although people with little educational back round and who have built up their clients, marketing, social media can be just as successful. I know a girl who didn't finish school and she started an etsy stationary business, she does this as her full time job and makes a living and is doing great with her business, she puts herself on youtube and comes up with creative ideas for people and this is one way she gets a lot of her clients because people trust she knows what she is doing because we can see her do it through video. You need to decide on what is really best for you and what you want, because at the end of the day, its your decision.
  6. Congrats and all the best with your new venture =)
  7. When looking at a school to go with ensure you are passionate about the subject you choose to study, you can always get a part time job in this field while you study to gain experience. To me it doesn't matter weather you go to go high prestige school or not, it depends on weather they have good teachers and they have a good response rate with successful students. Although a well known school can get you more opportunities and depending where you apply to work, employers look at where you studied and if its a well known top school, they will assume you have had the best education. You can also get excellent education through other schools. I think studying abroad is a great idea (depending where you study) it definitely helps you grow and challenges the way you see the world and how you think. It also opens your mind to other opportunities and possibilities. You learn more about yourself because you don't have a safety net in another country, you just have you to rely on.
  8. @Menko Before I tell you a bit about my story, I have a challenge for you. For one day I want you to wake up and decide your going to be extreamly happy today no matter what comes your way. If you get a negative comment, thank people instead of reacting, if you start thinking about things didn't work out in the past, think about a time in your life when you were really happy (this may even be a moment in your life you were happy about something someone did or something happened), for one day let go of the past and whatever happen and just be present and love and appreciate everything around you and everyone. Don't let negative influences influence your happy day. Choose happiness for one whole day. Then the next day you can go back to however it is you want to feel or go back to being depressed. Notice how you you felt the day you choose happiness. I believe depression is a state of mind and you create your own reality. I suffered from depression for years and I accepted Doctors giving me medication and seeing counsellors that didn't do anything because I wasn't open to change and people always wanted to talk about the past and get to the root casues and understanding all this crap that doesn't even matter. You need to realize your past no longer matters, its gone. Today is a new day and its what you CHOOSE to do today that counts. Change the way you think and start by challenging your thinking patterns and when something upsets you or makes you sad, get up and do as many star jumps as you can and tell me if you are still depressed after that.
  9. I think you already know the answer to that.
  10. @Loud1 As you go through different stages in your life, you will come to like different things, some more than others and some you just no longer feel a passion for any more. Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to be fashion designer and in my teens I studied it and worked in the industry and realised after all those years of loving fashion and designing, I just didn't love and value it as much. I then got into graphic design because I love working on the computer and designing websites but after a few years that wasn't making me money so I decided to study Law and work in a law firm for 5 more years. After that I found not purposeful (it didn't make me truely happy and I was slaving away making good money but working for someone else). I soon feel in love with people and helping them, started my own coaching business and I have never felt more fulfilled in my life. I love what I do and I plan to be doing this and building my business for the rest of my life. Same with relationships and most things in life, you have try different things till you finally find the one thing you have fallen in love with.
  11. Why don't you invest a mentor or coach who can help you if your method is not working. Or, try a different strategy and test that out.
  12. @Mariem A business man who is very ambitious with unrealistic dreams doesn't seem so common in this day and age. Stress will come even working / living on a farm. The business man could be unhappy because he is not yet where he wants to be with his goals but it working towards them (not necessarily a bad thing). For people who are ambitious, they will always want more because once completing a goal, you need more goals to live for and have a purpose. People who work hard and are driven to want the very best from life will always want more. That't not to say farmers can work hard to, can be very ambitious to in how they manage their farm and family. Farmers get stressed to when crops don't grow and can still have problems within the family (probably not the same problems as a business man who lives in the city). There are so many different factors to consider here, this scenario is not a black and white picture.
  13. @JoseM Here is the deal with anyone on the Internet in business trying to sell you something. Say you are looking for a life coach. You come across one website or you tube channel that promises you the world and guarantees you the results over night, another website where you have been following a person like Leo for a while and you resonate with him, he is well known in the industry and you feel inside that his services and products can help but lets say you can't afford his coaching (you can always find a way to get the money if you really wanted to or, perhaps you stumble across another life coach who is not so well known and popular in the industry but you have done your research and followed them, their prices are afforable and your thinking.. maybe. It all comes down to how your resonate with the person or company who is trying to sell you something. If you think someone is a scam or crap, then don't even worry about it, don't waste your valuable time. If you think someone is great and you love them and want their products you will find a way to work with them, or if finance is an issue maybe find someone who has the product you want thats afforable but also do your reasearch before you buy from anything or anyone. Coke is a drink that most people love and will buy, they will never go out of business. However, I know what are in soft drinks because I have done my research and refuse to even drink coke or any soft drinks (my personal perspective). I don't think their a crap company, I just don't like what they are trying to offer me. I decided to invest a lot of money in my own health and nutrition course so I know what I am putting into my body. The way Tai Lopez advertises showing off his luxury life, he is targeting a specific audience, he is not trying to target people who don't want his product. There are a lot of people out there who show off their life, their riches and everything they own and have - that is them and they won't change for anyone. People who are desperate for a quick fix, quick results and will buy into advertisements like "I guarantee you" are the ones who are going to invest in programs and people like this. That is their choice. Most of us are smart in the sense we will do our research before investing time, money and energy into anything. Some people may think its a scam another person can swear he changed my life. The important question is: how do you feel about him, the business or the product?
  14. @Michael Sneg How will you ever know an idea works unless you try it out and test it? How long do you plan to keep searching for your purpose? Brainstorm some ideas of things you want to do. Lets say you have 5-10 things. Number them 1-10. One being the one that stands out the most to you. You don't need a burning desire to do this or be certain that this is ' the one'. When you have 1-10 listen start working on your number one and breaking them into small goals. If something doesn't work out, try a different approach. It is easy to get discouraged or lazy or procrastinate but doing something is better than doing nothing. Do you want to waste time not doing anything feeling sorry for yourself or do you want to make a huge difference to your life and one day say "I achieved something, I did it'. I did a university degree for 6 years and so many time I broke down and wanted to give up because it go really hard and challenging for me and I had every excuse in the world not to keep going and finish my degree. I pushed through the pain and remembered why am I doing this silly degree. Because I want a better future for myself, because I want a back up plan in case my other job doesn't work out, because it looks great to employers, because I want to be able to provide for myself and my family one day, because I want to give myself the very best life possible because I believe I am worth it and deserve it and I have earnt it. Start somewhere even if it is just an idea. Doesn't have to be your one true passion. Could just be a hobby to start, life suprises you when you decide to take action.
  15. @Time Traveler HI There, I am a NLP and Matrix Therapies Practitioner and I can honestly say that NLP and Matrix Therapies are life changing when done correctly. You want to really change your life and get the results you want? Read Tony Robbins, Unlimited power
  16. @Silvester Hey There, I am a Mindset Health and Wellness Coach who helps a lot of people around the world improve the quality of their lifes, however if you are looking for 'easy' ways to start making a difference to the world, you must first work on yourself and your own life. Who will come to your for help if you don't already have the results they are after? There is no way I would ever invest in anyone or a program if I didn't do my research on that company or person and see if they have the results I want. I know it can be frustrating having so many ideas and not knowing exactly what to do or where to start, you spend a lot of time procrastinating and meanwhile all this time passes and nothing gets done and you freak out even more.. Here's where to start and some things to possibly consider: * Brainstorm your ideas on paper * Lets say you have 10 ideas of things you want to do, become and achieve. Number those from 1 to 10. 1 being the one that stands out to you the most that you really really want to do (at this point don't worry about the how, worry about that later). * Once you have numbered from 1-10. Lets say its ' I want to help people' then brainstorm ideas on how you can help people. You need to think about why would people come to you for help? Have you helped yourself? If the answer is no then break it down. I need to work on myself and I am going to start by reading some self help books or take a course in personal development or couselling etc. * once you have done this give yourself time frames for those small goals. For example: Counselling course takes 6 months to complete. At the end of 6months I will have sucessfully completed my counselling course and read 6 self help books during this time and applying some principals I have learn to my own life. * It is important to work on one thing at a time instead of trying to do everything at once because then you get overwhelmed and nothing gets done. * Perhaps invest in a coach yourself, someone to give you direction on things you want to work on. For me a long time ago when I began my personal development journey I found Leo on You Tube and he was my mentor on how I thought about things and my life and I applied what he taught me to my life and it changed me and my life as well as other factors. Don't get caught up in watching you tube and reading books though, you need to apply what you have learnt so you get the results and your investment in time and money is worth it.
  17. @Mariem I have found my life purpose. I am a Mindset Health and Wellness Coach who owns her own business. Its a struggle at times but I love what I do and I wouldn't change it for the world. What does it look like to finally know my purpose? BLOODY AMAZING! The feeling is even better when I see someone succeed and so happy and in love with their life.
  18. @aidschism Here are some quick tips for you: * Forget about the past and leave it there, its gone its over. If anything, learn from your past mistakes and move forward - no looking back. * Start brainstorming the things you want to work on and achieve. For e.g I want to be able to make new friends, I want to get a good job I love, I want a girlfriend, I want to be really healthy etc. Brainstorm all those ideas. * Under subheadings I want you to break things down into smaller goals/ideas and give yourself a time frame. For example. I want to get healthy and have lots of energy. - Get educated on the right foods I should be eating - This week - Find some recipes and make weekly meal plan / shopping list. Next week - Make a weekly gym / fitness plan or perhaps join a sport. - The week after - Explore meditation You can do this with every section of your life and break things down into small goals. * Make a decision to go out there and be the best possible version of yourself from this day forward, and everything you dedicate yourself too, give it 110% of your efforts. Don't give 50% or 90% give it everything you have because you have what it takes to have, do and be anything you want. I used to drink and smoke a lot and I used to eat whatever I wanted when I wanted, I was un-educated and didn't care too much about anything when I was younger till I decided I wanted a better life for myself. I was hoping one day I would be fit and healthy and meet the man of my dreams and settle down and have my own business. I dreamed of that type of life for so long and for so long I played the victim and refused to let go of my past behaviours and actions. You need to leave the past where it is, stop feeling sorry for yourself wishing you did things differently. Start making a decision from today onwards you will be a better person because of your past and you will start taking action in the direction of where you want to be in life. I changed the way I thought about things and my life, I went to classes to help me with confidence and speech, I did a degree in psychology and law (6years), I forced myself to put myself out there and not care what other think (you will always have someone who doesn't agree with you or is jealous or doesn't support you) thats life and don't be discouraged from others people's crap because thats all it is - crap. What's important is the story you tell yourself in your own head, the only opinion that matters is yours in the end and how you perceive things. At 30 years old now, I have everything I could possibly want. I am not rich, nor do I own several properties around the world like I want, I don't have the luxury of travelling the world or even anywhere near as close as well known as Leo Gura. But I am continuing to learn, I surround myself with the right people, I learn from things that don't work, I let people go who I don't find value in, I have a roof over my head and I can afford food and clothes. I am greatful for what I have and do what I can with the resources I have to keep pushing foward to where I want to be.
  19. @Lipthru I have wrote a blog post on a few ideas you can start doing to develop mental tougness http://www.miarivel.com/8-tips-on-mental-toughness/ have a read through this and if you have any more questions you can message me and I can see how I can help you further. And in short to stop screwing yourself over, its all starts with a decision to stop doing that. Yes its hard but it is only as hard as you make it. The problem is people are scared to even try to start over, to discipline them self because they are lazy and comfortable and no one wants to break out of their comfort zone so they stay complacent and in their safety zone where no change can happen to them. Their fear is bigger than their courage for possibility. Excuses are their best friend. Whenever I have a client who gives me an excuse for anything, I stop them immediately and get them to recognise that they are sabotaging themselves, they are basically screwing them self over. People procrastinate and wonder why life won't make me rich or happy because they don't have a plan. You need a plan. And although things don't always go to plan at least you have a structure in place a blueprint - you have somewhere to start to do something. You need to be your own cheerleader and believe in yourself more, the hell with what everyone else thinks, you don't need other people's opinion and validation or approval, you make your own rules and make a plan every single day to go do it! if you struggle and need help, then ask for it, ask someone that wants to see you succeed, there is nothing worse than asking the wrong person for help because not everyone will want to see you succeed.
  20. @renegade_bee I don't know much about UTI's but I do know just because you think you have tried everything, the answer is to not give up. I have had many clients who have come to for depression and suicide and what I find most is that these people do not want to end their life, its a big cry for help, a solution and as hard life gets you are the answer to any problem you will ever have in life. You are 18 years old and I am sure you have heard this before but you have your whole life to design and make things the way you want. Just because you have went to 100 Doctors, Psychiatrists, Psychologists doesn't mean you have tried everything. Why don't you try 101 times and if that doesn't work try a different approach. Your life is not over due to this condition. I have had many people come across me with more severe life threatening conditions who have made it through things like cancer, people who have lost a leg and won't be able to walk for the rest of their life. These people are some of the most successful people in life and business that I know because they never gave up. You need to develop mental toughness first and foremost because your mind will determine which path you choose. We are so used to doing what it easy and comfortable but we are so much more than that. Our mind has the power to overcome just about any adversity IF we learn how to train it and use it right to get the results we want. Definitely call a help line in your Country/Area to help with your emotional side of things. Go see a specialist (even a few) to find a solution to your problem. I don't think UTI are incurable so don't give up. There will be tougher situations you may come across in life, whatever happens, learn to be stronger than anything comes your way and don't ever be ashamed to ask for help or seek guidance from people. Don't feel you are left out or different from everyone else, some people progress slower and faster than others at various things, some people were born with conditions while others are healthy their whole life. What seperates the weak from the strong is your determination, persistence and how mentally strong you are. Believe in hope and believe in yourself that you will get through this.
  21. @Andrew I would suggest if you want to take a year off - have a plan so your time is not wasted. Start brainstorming some things you want to do or do more of what you enjoy doing and see if anything comes from that. Ask yourself if you could not fail at anything, what would you do? what type of person would you be? where would you be? think of all the endless possibilities. Sometimes we know what we want to do, we know the lifestyle we want to have and we dream of this telling ourselves.. one day I will.. or one day I will have. Very few of us make a plan to make it happen. You need a plan and also a plan B in case things don't go the way you expect. I didn't discover my purpose until I was 29 and I can tell you I have been in and out of jobs because I get bored easily, from working at Louis Vuitton to working for one of the largest finance firms in Sydney to working in a law firm to graphic design to the health and fitness industry. I tried a lot of things and when I started mentoring, then I went into counselling, then I decided to start a life coaching business and I have never looked back since. I fell in love and for me there is no greater reward in life than to helping someone else succeed and be all they can be. Where do you plan to do in your first month of finding your purpose? what about your second month? who are the type of people you want to meet? what do you want to know about yourself, your life? Have you ever thought about hiring a coach to help you with direction in your life? Are there any books you want to read? courses you want to take? skills you want to develop? Start brainstorming a plan of action. Hope this has helped a bit.
  22. @chris_crunch First thing is first you need to make a realistic budget and stick to it. Say if earn $100 a week, I would highly suggest to put at least 10% of that into a saving account where you don't touch it (unless in an emergency) like if you have some medical issue arise or you break a leg or arm, you have money saved for an emergency. Next, work out necessary expenses - x amount on rent, x amount food, x amount on bills etx Lastly if you have any money to spare then you can use this to go out with friends or if you don't have enough, save whatever money you have left over to maybe go out with friends once a fortnight or once a month instead of every weekend. And, if in your budget you find you have more money to spare then you can go shopping or treat yourself. This is very basic but if you follow this system, every time you get paid, it is a great start to learning how to handle and control your money better. It is all mindset. You can read 10 books on finance and how to handle money and what to do with your money but what these books are training you to do, is to change your perspective on money so you handle it better to work for you that is realistic. You need to know the basics and build a solid foundation before going crazy with money and being so careless with it. Leo has great videos on this subject to:
  23. @Mitch It is very true what Leo said. Just do it. A lot of the time we convince ourself that we need to have a bachelor degree (although this can help) or we need to know a lot of people etc. This is not necessarily the case. I started my business with only a diploma in Business and I finished that diploma 8 years ago before I started my business. I decided to take a leap of faith and just jump in and you learn a lot of things along the way. You may realise you need to get good at marketing so you will learn that along the way, then you might realise you need to learn how to build a website.. you learn all these things whilst building your business. Don't feel like you have to know it all.
  24. @mikeyy depends what people's beliefs are, religion.. so many factors that contribute to what may or may not happen to us after we die. Whatever happens to us is whatever you believe will happen. Who is to say my view is correct and your wrong and vice versa?
  25. @Davie I was like you in my early 20's. I ate donuts, McDonalds every few days, I drank soft drink and alcohol and ate chocolate like no tomorrow and over time my body felt weak, tired and lazy. Over time you may or may not develop health and medical conditions. Sugar is really bad for you and you can do your research on all the reasons why it is so bad for you. The reasons why I had your mentality in my early 20's is because I was uneducated about health and fitness and I didn't see the big deal with eating junk food. After all I was still alive, I have always been skinny (skinny doesn't always equal healthy) and this effects your performance and how you function. Icould probably eat a box of donuts a day and still not get fat however I am the type of person that wants to achieve all I can in life and I couldn't do anything I wanted because I became drained after years of eating crap, I was always lazy and slept all day, I wanted food that was quick and easy because it is convenient. If you ate healthy for 30 days and cut out all unhealthy sugar, you will notice a difference in you physiology, how you think, your energy levels, how you perform at sports or at work, and you will feel healthy on the inside as well as the outside will show it too.
