Reading @ivankiss post about his experience he mentioned about a stroboscopic effect which made me curious about it. And I found a lot of tricks that can be done with stroboscopic light to even make it seem that something in movement can appear as static. Take a look... (note: this is an ad explaining how the stroboscope works but I don't have anything to do and I am not trying to sell anything :-)

@Enlightened Enlightenment is to recognize that there's no self. Not at an intellectual level, it's really a non-event. From the perspective of the absolute, nothing is happening. Everything has to be manifested, even hunger, and sadness. Everything, without sadness, we would not know happiness. Duality needs both, hunger and gluttony. Awareness wants to experience everything. Even suicides, the whole package!

Also, I read parts of the Popol Vuh that is the ancient Maya's sacred texts and they also talk about the flood, and also about a very similar creation myth as it is told in the bible and other sacred texts. @arlin And on top of that all the non canonical books that were dismissed by the Churches. They always wanted us to believe that the Gospel of Thomas was written years after Christ was born. Now it is beginning to surface that is one of the earlier versions of the gospel. But anyway they are being still dismissed, sadly.

I don't agree with banning either. But if someone is pointing to a belief that is not from direct experience. Probably I will try to show him his error. The problem is not in the bible but in the interpretation that religious people give to it, like believing in all sorts of magical thinking. Most of it very similar to new agey stuff, but... they are not conscious of that. Religion is as deluded as new age yada yada yada...
