  2. Don't you think that everyone experience will be different depending on their culture, family values, etc???
  3. Nice! He always talked from both POV without explanations. Cool...
  4. Ok... mind is always doing tricks about everything Lol... Thanks!
  5. This is were I get confused. I think that if there's only GOD when you integrate with it you will lose all your memories, everything that makes us an ego right now, our personality, etc... But in the bible Jesus says, if you lose your life you will save it. Does it means that you will lose all your egoic person and you will be GOD or does it means that the ego will realize it is GOD and you will integrate all your life in GOD? Not sure if I am asking this question correctly. :-P
  6. This is very important! Thanks @ajasatya for that post, very well written!
  7. @Truth Addict this is my take on all this stuff from the Bible. I don't take the bible literally but I really think that there's true insights in some of the teachings from the Bible. Other things are influenced from the belief of the people in that time and their culture, that's why some parts are really crazy and some others are really so loving. Let's say that you have an insight into the nature of reality. Those insights come often not in form of words, more often than not they come like a punch in the face hehehe... like something complete in a instant, an idea but you have to "translate" then what you understood from that insight into words. That's at least in my experience. True insights never came to me in words, it was always like a flash that gives me an "aha moment" complete. Not in a sequence but altogether at the same time. So, what happens? The idea came to the mind of those people living in ancient times. And let's suppose that the insight told them not to do an image in the sense of trying to imagine GOD because the image is never the real thing. But if they are not ready still to learn that kind of more advanced understanding, they will say "GOD talked to me and he told me that we can not do images of him" So they don't do any material image, because they are still in the materialist paradigm. That's is what I mean for radical openmindedness, to be able to see inside of teachings that are ancient the actual true insight. Not if God talked to them, or if Jonah was in reality in the inside of a whale during 3 days, but more what the story means. Alan Watts talk about this in some of his lectures, and he's very good explaining that. It means to see what the story is trying to make us understand, not so much about the facts or how they were described, if they were real or not, or if they happened literally as it is said, etc.... But being more open to understand that there's some really good insights in those stories, leaving the literal interpretation to one side. Normally, the literal interpretation is the lower kind of spiritual level, is the first thing we see. But then we began to find deeper meanings to that interpretation. We need more radical openmindedness.
  8. When it happened to me I began to do things without noticing. For example, I passed in front of the stove in the kitchen and I turned off the fire when we were doing hot dogs. And it was an impulse, I didn't realized I was doing that after some moment. Then I realized and I was, did I did that? It looked like a demonic possession really, but is ego backslash. That's why religious people associate it with the demon, the ego unchained is like a demon really. My face changed, it was crazy. It happened some days after I had a strong awakening. The ego doesn't want you to know the truth. All that is in our subconscious mind.
  9. Correct. It's all your creation even when you are not conscious. If you focus on awareness that won't happen anymore. I had some similar experience too. I was in a mental hospital and I understood that everything happened to me it was because I was more focused on my head than in the "outside" world. I began to do mindful meditation an be more aware of what's really happening without labeling or overthinking and I am much more balanced than ever before. Don't believe in what your mind tells you, you are not your mind and the thoughts are not yours either. You only are aware of the thoughts appearing, let them go... they will pass.
  10. I would like to add that GOD = ABSOLUTE too If we understand GOD as WHAT IS, AS "THAT"... not as the idea created by the ego in our minds. Remember in the bible it says: "You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below." The image that he is talking about is not only about material images, it is also a mental image. Don try to understand GOD because mind cannot grasp it.
  11. We are not making fun of him. I think he is here in the forum for a reason. I was deluded because of the teachings of the Church, so I am seeing me in him. I would like to had someone to explain me all this before, maybe that's why I try to tell them my experience. But I am not imposing it to him. If you think we are making fun of him Bill, that's your interpretation. It's not really the case. Nothing fun on our comments really.
  12. @zeroISinfinity @Soul-lover 2020 still has to realize that Jesus talked in metaphors and he did it also from the POV of being GOD and of being HUMAN. That's why sometimes what he said seems to not make sense, so the so called "scholars" created all this thing called "theology" where they try to make sense of all what he said. For example, Jesus said "it is necessary for me to go there and suffer". So the scholars said "Ooooohhhh... he has to go there and suffer so he will carry all our sins on him and we will be forgiven, just that simple"... and from that is where the salvation prayer or the sinner prayer appeared. You only have to say "I confess Jesus is the saviour" and VOILAAAAA!!! YOU ARE SAVED!!! LORD!!! HALLLELUJAAAAH!!! OMG!!!
  13. @Bufo Alvarius the only way to "understand" that is to experience it. And when you experience it, you will have problem explaining what you experienced to others, because there's no words to explain that. The best thing is to meditate and get ready so that event (that is a non-event) happens. The mind won't understand because the mind is used to divide everything. If it is black, it can't be white, if it is red, it can't be green. If you are sad you can't be happy. In awareness is everything at the same time, everything just IS the way it is and you will perceive paradoxes and things the mind won't get and that you can not communicate. Don't try to do it with the mind, the mind can take you to weird places. Awareness has to be your guide... that in fact is YOU. You are your guide. And you are not your thoughts or the mind.
  14. True. My favorite quote from him is in my signature. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. John 14:20
  15. That's exactly what I was pointing at here!!! We don't have to label people. And not try to impose our views on others. Just share what we know and sometimes it can be helpful for others, maybe something that others share are helpful for me/us. But if we keep trying to be right we won't be open minded at all!!! At least that's what I see... In my humble opinion.
  16. I think that is the case. It recalls me of Jesus, when he came all the experts where the pharisees and they were the ones that wanted him dead. Crazy... And most of the prophets and people who were more enlightened were from outside of the "Church" like Elijah, he couldn't even enter at the Temple, because they didn't allow him to do that. John the Baptist also baptized in a lake far away and he lived in the desert.
  17. hehehe... I am an heretic
  18. Completely true, you are so right about that. Awesome, life is so a big paradox. Love it! Lol
  19. That's because GOD is having a colonoscopy?
  20. I had an epiphany that it was crazy and it happened out of nowhere. I was going to work, not doing meditation, nothing... totally out of anything religious. That made me go to Christian Churches, then I realized that something wasn't quite right. And now I am here. Leo helped me to focus on REALITY. Then I realized that was the same as idea as what GOD is in reality, not what the Church says. Long story, someday I will post it on my personal diary here in the forum.
  21. @Shin It took me like 30 years Lol
