  1. I understand all what you are saying. It happened to me too. Probably in my case it wasn't so bad as in other cases that's why I could overcome it. I know. In my case the pills were helpful to me. It helped me to "heal" the neurotransmitters and think better and finally get well. I am still taking medication. But, only medication doesn't assure that you can be cured too. The doctors are very clear that the pills help you to recover and then you have to try to think differently of the situation, they teach you how to cope with stressful situations because otherwise you will go again into schizophrenia or psychosis. What happens with those cases that are extreme, as you mentioned (where I was there was some cases that they had to be in a special area because they were violent) is that they changed the structure of the brain because of their thinking. That's harder to overcome. I am not saying that only with meditation they will get cured. The pills and the treatments can help them to leave that place of wrong thinking. But the center point of this is that in my opinion, it all begins with our thoughts and our perception of reality. That "thinking" can go really out of hand at some moments or persons and really they are in a very difficult place to overcome that schizoid thoughts. When you continue thinking that you are the thinker, is hard to control thoughts that go out of control. I am not sure if I was clear to express my point Lol... This thread is becoming very valuable, really. Thanks all for sharing your POVs.
  2. @Manjushri watch this! Very valuable to the question you are doing.
  3. @SerpaeTetra It has been proved that the way a person thinks ends changing his "biological brain", so which one is first, the egg (the way we think) or the chicken (the brain)?
  4. It helped me to cure my depression and some psychotic episodes I had. Literally I was crazy during parts of the day and all was because my ego couldn't handle the truth. It happened to me after I had a strong epiphany. I know we are not all equal, if the schizophrenic doesn't understand or doesn't want to accept that he is not the thinker, that is hard to overcome.
  5. Leo, the part that we are looking to the world from my eyes, and you from your eyes, etc... confuses me. I have the idea that if I am everything I should be experiencing all that others are experiencing. If I think is all me, and no one exists it takes me to solipsism that I don't think is true. What's the best way to explain why that happens?
  6. Objectivity is just an idea, we think there's an objective world "out there"... but is an illusion.
  7. @Esoteric I always search there, Gutenberg library is also a great site. They search for books that are free or that are already in public domain, they have movies too I think, all in public domain. So it is safe to download anything from there. https://archive.org/ I always search for old books that I need because they can have it for sure, if it is older than 70 years (I am not sure but is close to that) they become "public domain". No one owns the rights and anyone can share them. There's another one called Project Gutenberg , very cool too... not as extensive as archive.org , more focused on books, but is great too. https://www.gutenberg.org/
  8. Thanks @Key Elements I will do that! :-)
  9. If I am awareness and I am everything, why am I seeing the world through this eyes and my consciousness feels like is inside my body. How am I not separated if I am inside this bag of skin?
  10. I found the book free at archive.org It must be in public domain. Cool. I'm reading it.
  11. @Esoteric Thanks. I'm going to watch the video. Seems good stuff ...
  12. @Key Elements hahaha That was so funny. I don't know if I will be as funny as them, but... I have to try hehehe... This is the one I was telling you about from Conan, Bruce Timm, the guy who did Batman Animated created a superhero version of conan and they animated it Lol... so cool...
  13. @Key Elements I like comedy a lot, and yes I was thinking to do something with paradoxes in a funny way. Saying some truths in a funny way or in a way we are not used too, that can be funny too. Long time ago I was thinking about doing some open mics hehehe to see how it is to say jokes in front of the public. I know Jay Leno, he's cool. My favorites comedian for stand up or Night Shows are Conan and Jimmy Kimmel. I even did an illustration for Conan like a Superhero, I think it is in his website, let me check... if I find it I send you the link.
  14. hehehe... it's awesome the metaphor with real life is incredible. I remember watching it and thinking... "wow, this is very similar to what happens in real life" without the computers of course. I was materialistic but I knew (or I think I knew) also that reality was created in the brain and that the brain just interprets electric signals. So, I knew that what we see, touch and smell, we can't be sure that they are "real"... I was 30 when Matrix was premiered.
  15. Sounds like the Story of Jonah from the Bible.
  16. Experience is the best way to call it. But it is not really an experience. You will know it's true. And you will know because it will shock your whole sense of self, your whole world will collapse and if you are not ready for it you will scream like crazy as if a fucking nuts psychopath is following you with a chainsaw to cut you into little pieces. In reality enlightenment is a non event. A non experience. They call it "direct experience" as a pointer but experiences will lead you only to more experiences. The finger pointing to the moon.
