  1. He makes me feel that when he says "Logic" he is in fact trying to say "reality"...
  2. It's like the story of the glass with half of it filled with water. You can choose to see it like half empty or half full. You choose. I think the idea of the game is to see that you have power really over your way to see reality. The reality "out there" we don't know, we have no idea how it is. We can only see our reality. Right now I am writing answering your question, when in fact, I am answering my interpretations of what you have written, I would never know your reality. It's not possible. We don't know nothing.
  3. John, I know is confusing. Everything can be seen from different perspectives. What I mean with that is that once you realize there's no life purpose, you are free of "desiring"... and you will find that whatever you are doing is your life purpose... you don't like it? You can change it. It's not something fixed that you cannot adapt or change. What is the thing that you enjoy most doing? Do that... if there's no life purpose you can fail and try another thing. If you think "that's my life purpose" if you fail, you will feel like you failed at that thing that it was your life purpose, so you are a failure, what are you going to do? You have to search for a different life purpose? I knew that we create our life purpose walking the path, but even knowing it deep inside me, I wasn't convinced. So I continue searching (I liked to draw, make comics, etc) but I got a job as a graphic designer because it was more "secure". And I ended being a designer and all my projects about comics got stuck and I couldn't do them for lack of time and motivation. And now, like 20 years later I began to follow more my instinct (let's say that) doing meditation, trying to quiet my mind I continue drawing and drawing and showing my work on internet, and now... work for doing illustrations is coming to me. True, something happened that when I decide to draw just for the sake of drawing, not because it was a goal, or something I have to attain. My art began to improve and people noticed it and I got a call to make some designs for a video game, and now I am doing also illustration for a custom set of cards. What you are looking for is stoping you of finding it. (The same thing that happens to us with enlightenment.) If you search for it, it's because you don't have it. So you will never find it, because that will become your reality. https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/254924
  4. What is false is the idea of "I" or "me"... that's what the ego does, it creates and idea of identification with the thoughts. So doing that it "blocks" the flow with everything that is, we want to make it "our" way... we want this the way "I" like it... that brings karma and suffering. what we have to stop is identification with anything, that brings liberation and free flow with reality.
  5. Richard, glad to know that!!! Awesome!!! When you post something about your journey, let us know!!! I want to read about your journey!! Cool!!! :-)
  6. My greatest fear is to lose my identity. I am going very slowly in the path because of that fear. Edit: I didn't see my early post, well... that confirm that this is my greatest fear. :-P
  7. A woman get cheated by her husband. Devastated, she doesn't know how to continue to live her life. She heard that there's a very wise monk who lives up in a mountain, and decide to go there to consult him. After few days of traveling, walking, climbing, she reach the top and meet the wise monk. "I have spent my whole life with him, my youth was dedicated to support him, take care of him. And now he left me with a young women. My life is stolen, and I'm left with nothing. I don't know what to do". The monk gives her a cookie and asks her to eat it. After she finishes eating, he ask: "Is the cookie delicious?" "Yes"- she answer. "Do you want another one?" "Sure, please". The monk look her in the eyes and said "Do you see the problem now?" The woman thinks for a while, and then slowly speak. "I guess human nature is greedy. You got one, then you want more, maybe a new one, bigger one. It's never enough. And nothing lasts forever, anything is impermanence. We should be aware and not disappointed for that". The monk shake his head "No, I mean you are too fat, you should eat less."
  8. I am thinking in closing my self actualization journal. There's no point to it, the journal is all about me, keeps reinforcing the idea of myself, me, I... etc... There's still an I and that idea needs to go... I will still check for interesting topics and participate but my journal will be closed. Thanks for those who read and helped me in this pathless path.
  9. Awesome, I totally agree with that. Hard to explain to unconscious people, right?
  10. Since it is God's nature not to be like anyone, we have to come to the state of being nothing in order to enter into the same nature that He is. [German sermon 7, trans M.O’C. Walshe] --- Meister Eckhart
  11. And what was your conclusion? Just curiosity
  12. @SBB4746 When I said without a purpose, I was meaning without a "you" doing "something". I don't find words to explain that better. Any way "we" try too explain how to do it, it will be wrong. Everything we think "it is" ... "it is not" Words are just pointers
  13. That's the problem, that God cannot be named. Christians call it God, but if you read the Bible you will see that Jews used to say that he cannot be named and that he had thousands of names. We have to use a name and to get an idea of what is "Reality" or "God", the problem is that the idea then becomes the interpretation of every different person about what they think God is, so God will become different depending on their belief and their level of awakening. That's why I am Christian, but I don't follow the common Christianity. I think Jesus is misunderstood, even by his disciples. Jesus never said he was God himself, he always said "Me and God are one". That's different. That's like Buddha saying "I am one with reality". It's very hard to explain, because you need to know a lot about different religions and see the common idea on them. The most common idea is to kill your ego so consciousness arises, like a Christian would say "Deny yourself, take up your cross and follow me." That "me" that Jesus was referring too was Christ that is Christ Consciousness. Jesus becomes "God" when he was JesusChrist, the union with God. If you read the Mystics Christians you will see that they were referring to this same thing, but of course they were punished by the traditional church, they were accused of heresy, like Meister Eckhart, St. John of the Cross and many more that were silenced by the Catholic Church, mostly....
  14. I agree. @Svartsaft That's why most masters say that you have to meditate without a purpose, just observe and let go attachments, even the attachment of being enlightened, you can find that mostly on Zen traditions. http://www.artedojo.com/zazen.htm
  15. That's true, but you know why is true? Because there's no one to get enlightened. That's the trap. The problem is that we don't really accept anything, because there's no you to accept anything. Meditation the only thing it does is awaken your inner self (higher self, consciousness, true nature, buddha nature, Christ, whatever you wanna call it) and takes over you and you really act from your true nature accepting what is and flowing with it. Until you don't understand that this idea of a "you", that "you" think exists, that "you" who wants to meditate to get better, that "you" who is tired of meditating because there's no point, that idea of "you"... doesn't exist. It doesn't matter what kind of "you" you believe there's is, the problem is you still talking from you ego perspective, you, me, them, us... Accepting what is means accepting no-self, because there's no self, no you no me no nothing, just nature manifesting by itself.
  16. I think this can be of help, mostly to those who are Christians. I think this are the true teachings of Jesus, not what we are taught in Churches.
  17. Did you sent a message to Leo? I think he can do it. Here they are talking about that on the forum that Leo has for actualized.org. That's the forum of the company that installed Leo's software or the software that Leo has installed. It seems that it is possible to delete completely the account but you have to ask Leo or an administrator. Check the last post. https://invisionpower.com/forums/topic/151969-user-option-to-delete-his-own-account/
  18. I'm pretty sure that this is a problem of programming, some cms doesn't have the option to remove your information so you have to hire a programmer to add that feature. I have that problem not only on forums, when you give information to facebook for example. They don't delete it. It's there, if you sign in again with them you recover everything you thought that you "deleted". That's a trap of the intertubes!!! :-P
