Thanks @Nahm I think I am trying too much to have that experience. I need more patience. Thanks again. -
That was awesome @LiakosN Thanks for sharing! Something similar happened to me, but without the mushrooms. I also went to the hospital and I was sure I was going to die. Nothing happened, but the ego is really a scared little child. Lol... Nice!

But isn't that some idea or a thought of what we are? Isn't it supposed that I have to know the totality of my experience? Know what others are experiencing, etc? I can infer that from the texts and for the conclusions I arrive after reading about avatars, like Buddha, Jesus, Krshna, etc... but why when the knowledge that we are everything is clear, why can't be experience or know that everything? That's what I can't wrap my head around. -

@Samra That looks so good! I will ask in my comic store to see if they have it! I really like comics and I do comics myself. Thanks for sharing! :-) -
Really good. Nailed it! :-)

@Faceless Thank you very much! I think I was needing to chat with you, you helped me to clarify the mind. I was not having confidence in my self and I was lost because of that. I know that now. I appreciate that! Thanks Faceless!

So many opinions, so many paths and ways. Everybody says different things about enlightenment. It's time to stop listening to everything and everyone, and begin searching inside oneself. Abide in the self. Have a wonderful weekend.

Great point. Thoughts/beliefs don't create reality, they distort it, they hide reality. -

Today I was thinking the same, like my ego (the jiva) really acts by itself. Everything is mechanic. Someone says something, then a thought appears, the jiva do something according to past experiences, etc... I am mostly reading now the forum, not participating because I realized that everything I write is BS and what I understand from others is twisted by the ego and the other people also interprets what I say wrong. Because they filter also through the lenses of their egos/jivas.... So, I prefer to be in silence. -

Ramana: "Keep your mind still. That is enough. You will get spiritual help sitting in this hall if you keep yourself still. The aim of all practices is to give up all practices. When the mind becomes still, the power of the Self will be experienced. The waves of the Self are pervading everywhere. If the mind is in peace, one begins to experience them." -

You become conscious when you realize that your are everything. In reality you don't have a subconscious mind, you are it. What is "controlling" the small self (consciousness) is the big self or Buddha self (unconsciousness) . You will create all the experiences needed to wake up to realize you are both, conscious, unconscious, everything... IMO -
Yes, God's dream creates or manifest everything.

This is my take. The consciousness that is associated with the body, the idea of a "me" doesn't exist. But somehow thoughts create the idea of a separated self that has not consciousness of the whole self, is not aware of the true self that is everything. Brahman. God. Etc.... In reality we are consciousness, but we identify with the separated idea of consciousness and we create our own reality of the poor me in the middle of a world that is outside me. I recommend you to listen to some Alan Watts youtube videos, he points to that very clearly and simple. -

Yes... there's always those two perspectives. Teachers sometimes talk from one perspective and change to the other and that confuses sometimes beginners. It happened to me until I understood that. https://emptinessteachings.com/2014/09/11/the-two-truths-of-buddhism-and-the-emptiness-of-emptiness/ -

There's things deep down me (or the mind, I don't know) that I feel like they are true. But, thoughts always appears and makes me doubt. That's why we need others who traveled that path before us to know what to "do"... (I put it btw quotes because there's really nothing to do.) -

@Faceless I got you, thanks for the guidance. -
abrakamowse replied to Deep's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Faceless I was on Jed Mc Kenna forums and when I told him that If it was possible to achieve enlightenment or liberation doing basically "nothing" he said that I (the egoic I) was being lazy and didn't want to do the work. I agree with that but I also have doubts about it. I also talked about this also with @Leo Gura in a post, and he shares that POV too. But, deep inside me I feel that everything I do to achieve enlightenment actually sends me farther from realization. What do you guys think? -
@Hardkill What it helped me a lot to let go negative thoughts was mindful meditation. You have to sit and observe your thoughts without getting attached to them. If there's a thought that says "I have to do something"... you just observe it and don't pay attention to it. What this does is like training the mind to ignore thoughts and just observe them. What happens is that thoughts just appear, and we identify with them. There's a negative thought and we think is us who is depressed or anxious. Because thoughts say we are the thinkers. But, are we? If we are the thinkers, why don't we just choose positive thoughts? Try it and let me know if it works for you, it was very helpful for me.

abrakamowse replied to vanish's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@vanish I know why you did such an extreme way to get awakened. I did something similar, not so intense. Anything you do to realize you are not the body, it's Ok. It can be crazy but is what it needs to be done, sometimes. At least that was what I need. That happens when what we think we are, is suffering a lot, or it can't make sense of life, so it takes extreme measures to know who he is in reality. You have to go to the bottom of the pit to try extreme things like that. But everything is good, and nothing is under our control anyway. :-) -

Nice! Lol... she was crazy Watching her declarations it is very clear that she didn't understand "dharma" -

I know @Prabhaker I was thinking also about Peter, who denied him too... that's true. I know that Osho's teachings are true, I think the problem was he wanted to do such a big thing. Difficult to control so many egos. -
