  1. Consciousness transcends experience. How do you know that you did not experience anything during a coma? You just know that there was no experience while you were in a coma. You were aware of that fact, right? If you were not aware of it, you wouldn't say that during the coma you didn't experience anything. Experience is experience, awareness is awareness. I had this very discussion with a supposed "teacher" of non-duality. You have to equal consciousness to experience, because you think that something that transcends experience cannot be known. That's wrong. You know when you have no experiences at all, like when you are in deep sleep.
  2. You are going somewhere now. Consciousness is aware of the lack of experience. Awareness (consciousness) is always present even when there's no experience. That consciousness is the real "you", not the limited ego that you think you are. Consciousness is aware of nothing happening. Think about deep sleep.
  3. Yes, I have... that website talks about the ego from the body point of view. It tries to explain how you act and react when you feel you are bounded into a body, into a bag of skin. The consciousness that needs a reality to exist, is the consciousness that is focused in your experience, that creates and idea of you. That consciousness is bound, but not the whole consciousness that pervades everything and is in everything. The only way for you to see that is through a kind of spiritual experience. As you had a coma experience, I had an experience where I saw that. I saw how consciousness is not something that "I have", is the other way around, my body is inside consciousness. QM has destroyed the concept of matter. Of course now there's some scientific who will deny that, but if you read about the pioneers of Quantum Mechanics (Plank, Schrödinger, Niels Bohr, etc) you will see that. Of course "society" won't accept those experiments and their conclusions, because is a hit to hard for the ego to accept. Reality is too harsh for the ego to see it. This is what Niels Bohr said about matter:
  4. How matters creates consciousness? How can something intelligent came out from something that has no intelligence, and be "dependent" on it (matter)? Is it (intelligence) created randomly? Quantum mechanics has just proven that what we think is matter is nothing in reality. What do you think about that?
  5. How do you know that? Was it in your direct experience? Admit that you don't know anything. We all have belief, you have a belief that consciousness arises from matter. I have the belief that is matter which arises from consciousness. I don't want to convince of my point of view, but at least be open to other possibilities. No one knows if matter creates consciousness, and you don't know either.
  6. Leave all the concepts aside and you will see that the only thing not dependent on anything is consciousness.
  7. Just continue posting and it will change soon! :-)
  8. I don't think there's a panic attack and an awakening being resisted. How do you know what's the difference between both? The only thing I know is that awakening is the most important thing to "achieve" in life. So everything can be leading you to it. Those panics attacks must be a rejection of the reality the way it is, and your reaction is a panic attack. (I had panic attacks too). Panic attack, depression, sadness... all those things leads us to an awakening, because we resist "what is" because we think that what is happening is wrong and we get sad because things don't go "our way". Until to a point where the suffering is so big that we begin to see more clearly what reality is and accept the things the way they are. We begin to leave our ego aside, we begin to deny ourselves (our ego) because the suffering is so much. It's a process that leads us to enlightenment at some point. How long it will take it depends on us.
  9. It doesn't drop, because the idea that there's someone who wants to achieve enlightenment goes against enlightenment. The idea that you want to become enlightened is what avoids enlightenment to happen. It's very tricky. That's why Alan Watts said that becoming enlightened is like "biting your own teeth" How can you leave your identity behind when you continue to attach labels to a construct of self?
  10. That's really very plausible....
  11. The problem with that is that there's not an objetive perspective. Everything you say will be relative to your point of view and beliefs. If you talk from an "ego" point of view you will see the objects with an independent nature and that they are separated and different from us. But if you see it from a more holistic perspective, you will notice that in fact that "separated nature" is just a concept. It's not true. You don't experience any object. You have "seen" something, colors, whatever... that your brain interprets as an object, but it can be anything. But, I know what are you trying to do. Ok.
  12. So, your experiment is to make us believe in what our thoughts say about our senses? The idea is to believe in materialism? I don't get where you want to go with all this.
  13. I suggest you to watch the video and make that question yourself. It doesn't matter what I mean. The important thing is what you think....
  14. How do you get a tree from a seed? Was the tree always inside the seed?
  15. You are asking the wrong question. You didn't find out where is the separation. If there's no separation the egg was always there.
  16. I wonder what you mean, when you use the word "I"
  17. But what happens if there's no actual separation? The chicken is just an idea, a perception. A false perception that make you see the chicken as a separated entity from you. If you think you are a body and all the concepts created by the mind real, then you are not the chicken. You are confusing consciousness with the limited consciousness that there's in a body. But is that all you are? How does the external world influence in you? Can you live without breathing air? Is air a part of you, or something separated?...
  18. Show me the separation between you and the chicken. Where is that separation?
