  1. Practice! I think its good to know how to interact with and to be able to seduce a woman if you so choose.
  2. Audio-books! That way I can learn while I do work on the house or drive. I have to do those things anyway so why not kill two birds with one stone.
  3. Good stuff! I've only just begun to read it but its right up my ally! Its precisely the reason I'm interested in out of body experiences. People who regularly have OBE claim to contact different forms in different dimensions. I also heard one story from William Buhlman where he claimed to communicate with formless entities. There is a good documentary out on Amazon Prime right now that got me interested in this. It has a lot to do with OBE research that was done at the Monroe institute:
  4. 100% logic and no feelings = Mr. Spock! To me, logic is basically symbols (language) and mathematics, which at the end of the day, is nothing but a bunch of man made squiggly lines.
  5. I haven't used 5-meo yet so I don't have an opinion. What I can say, is that at 17 I was doing LSD and mushrooms and I turned out....ummm, well, never mind
  6. I didn't watch the video but great discussion!
  7. I'm curious about OBE experiences and plan to practice having them. If a person was born blind, do they "see" or a deaf person "hear" in an OBE?
  8. I think that's the million dollar question. I've thought about that myself many times. Any personal development "guru" or spiritual teacher will tell you that only a small portion of seminar attendees or book readers will actually apply the teachings to their lives. Most people feel good while reading books or attending seminars then go on back to their normal lives. So what is that "switch" or "trigger" within peoples consciousnesses that awakens them? Some say its suffering. When people suffer enough, they will awaken as in most peoples cases.
  9. In one of Oprah's videos of "A new Earth", someone asked Eckhart how he identifies himself to other people. He said he doesnt say "I'm formless consciousness" but rather relates to others on an ego level by saying "I'm a writer". That was from memory so may not have been his exact words but I hope you get the point.
  10. This reminds me of the tale of the two travelers and the farmer... A traveler came upon an old farmer hoeing in his field beside the road. Eager to rest his feet, the wanderer hailed the countryman, who seemed happy enough to straighten his back and talk for a moment. "What sort of people live in the next town?" asked the stranger. "What were the people like where you've come from?" replied the farmer, answering the question with another question. "They were a bad lot. Troublemakers all, and lazy too. The most selfish people in the world, and not a one of them to be trusted. I'm happy to be leaving the scoundrels." "Is that so?" replied the old farmer. "Well, I'm afraid that you'll find the same sort in the next town. Disappointed, the traveler trudged on his way, and the farmer returned to his work. Some time later another stranger, coming from the same direction, hailed the farmer, and they stopped to talk. "What sort of people live in the next town?" he asked. "What were the people like where you've come from?" replied the farmer once again. "They were the best people in the world. Hard working, honest, and friendly. I'm sorry to be leaving them." "Fear not," said the farmer. "You'll find the same sort in the next town."
  11. Projections are just thoughts and we cant stop them. My take on the video is that Leo was saying to just be aware of your projections.
  12. @Leo Gura Could you please describe how you physically felt after the trip? Were you tired, drained, etc.
  13. I have always struggled with this concept and would have to be more on the side of no myself. Awhile back, Leo made a video about his as well. Sometimes I think that we are just like a giant ant colony or school of fish or a flock of birds heading south for the winter. Our ego may think that we are in control, but are we really?
  14. This. If you can find one that works for you, sure. Just try to find like minded people who meditate and talk with them. There are meditation groups on meetup that I attend, you should look there. Group meditation is great and Its nice to discuss and hear everyone's personal practices. I have found that just because someone meditates, that doesn't mean that they are self actualizing or into personal development though. Your on the right path! Im actually curious as to how this journal will read in the future. I'm sure you will look back at this moment and realize how difficult, but necessary it was.
  15. @Lynnel I agree. I cant stomach his videos either. Talk about egotistical! If I want relationship advice, I'll go to a happily married man and not some dude that brags about sleeping with lots of women.
  16. I'll quote you and you tell me what part of the problem could be...
  17. I believe it can work if both people want that. The problem lies when one or both people arent completly honest with their feelings/desires with the other person.
  18. Real estate! Become a landlord. Start by reading the book "Rich dad, poor dad".
  19. @Elektrisko Its just nature and it is what it is, not good nor evil. Like when a lion chases down a gazelle and eats it alive. Is that evil? What you have described is just your mind putting a label on what is.
  20. Ever? No. Personally, I've put a lot of time and effort into understanding relationship and women. I find it very fulfilling and would recommend it. Its more than just sex, its knowing how to connect with a woman at a much deeper level. No regret what so ever! I am deeply satisfied.
  21. @Emerald Wilkins As far as losing attachment to the ego about how you look, I think thats a personal decision. I mean, how far does one want to detach? Stop showering, stop brushing your hair, wearing deodorant and not caring what you wear? There has to be a happy medium in my opinion. If putting on makeup and wearing a pretty dress makes you feel good, I would say don't fight it and do it. I know its easier said than done, but dont worry about the future... There are plenty of attractive older women. They embrace their femininity and share it with the world and that, my friend, is a beautiful thing! Its their gift to the world. It doesn't matter if a rose bush was just planted or is 100's of years old. As long as its producing roses, it will always be beautiful!
  22. Hey Steph! I knew that was you. I mentioned that in the "how old are you" thread. If you ever need someone to talk to, get a hold of me on FB messenger.
  23. I'm going through the same thing. The problem for me isnt meeting people, its finding quality, like minded positive people that I would want to spend time with. Even within the personal development or spiritual communities it is difficult. For example, I went to a meetup group that was called spirituality for men and the topic came to people meditating on a mountain and communicating with aliens. Then they said they looked in the sky and saw what they considered spaceships. I'm not one to judge, but thats just not for me. I'm fairly new to all this so I keep and open mind and still attend various meetup groups. Also, local schools have adult continuing education classes, yoga. As you mentioned, other parents and music are good ways to bond with people. I get out and "socialize" with people but havent really "connected" with anyone in a long time. Ive kind of accepted that that will be the norm unless proven otherwise, but thats just me and everyone is different.
  24. My body is 44. @sjonesartist Hey! I know you!
  25. I checked out his podcast because of this post and am hooked on it! Start out with podcast #1 and work your way up if you decide to check it out. This is the best series I have heard since coming across Leo's videos. I like his delivery too, kind of reminds me of Alton Brown on Good Eats. Thanks @Hunter Arrington .
