@peanutspathtotruth Sounds promising! I should also specify that I recommend doing this meditation for 20-60 minutes for extraordinary results. Doing chakra meditations like this one can be once whole spiritual practice. It's the tantric path. -

@roopepa It does, I think what happened is that you are experiencing an increase of prana. This increases all emotions, making dysfunctions manifest very clearly and sometimes in weird ways. I'll share two personal experiences I've had with these problems, one was during prolonged meditation. I was focusing too much on my head while ignoring my lower chakras. This created an imbalance that made me more lethargic than I've ever been, even while sick. The cure was to focus more on the manipura chakra/power center. Second problem, and this comes and goes, is head pressures, the feeling of something pushing and pulling on my skull. Very uncomfortable. Turns out it is due to egoic/narcissistic thoughts, which is a dysfunction of the third eye chakra. Dysfunctions can manifest in this seemingly physical way. Tara Springett said that all hurt is negative emotions that are not yet cognized as such. The cure was to be more honest about myself, let go of my superiority complex, surrender the ego, and practice compassion. She has written another book called healing kundalini syndrom that talks about various energy problems. @peanutspathtotruth I recommend you try the technique I've described here first, it's not only a streamlined version of her technique, it is also particularly suited for swadisthana, and it will make you understand her general technique better. @peanutspathtotruth @roopepa It would be nice to hear how it goes. I'm still not sure how well this technique works for others and I'd like to find out so I know if I should continue prescribing it. -

The christian concept of dropping the head into the heart relates to the spiritual heart, not the heart chakra, but a place to the right in the ribcage. https://hridaya-yoga.com/hridaya-yoga-articles/what-is-hridaya-the-spiritual-heart/ Feeling is a function of the heart chakra, while passion and emoting is a function of swadisthana chakra. -

All emotional problems are energetic problems. The force of an emotion is called energy/prana/chi/life force. And the type of emotion it is determines how the force is expressed. It sounds to me like your 2nd chakra is blocked. It is the chakra responsible for pleasure, intimacy and passion. It sounds like you need to release that tension in to pleasure. It is also from the 2nd chakra that we get our passion for life and overall energy. You seem to have an energetic blockage where you don't allow yourself to feel pleasure. When this chakra is closed you feel like the world is uninviting, like a mother that doesn't love you. Both excess masturbation and sexual repression can cause this problem. I recommend reading the chapter in 'Wheels of Life' dedicated to the second chakra. You can find a pdf of the book online. This will make you aware of the unhealthy mindsets and thought-patterns you have that are keeping this chakra closed. I also recommend you do an exercise that have done wonders for me with simualr issues that I will explain. I've worked a lot with energy so this might not work quite as well for you if you haven't at first. But you can get to a point where by doing this chakra opening exercise you will be flored by the amount of pleasure, healing and motherly embrace you feel. And you can feel a sense of pleasure as your natural state just as you can feels love in your chest or joy in your stomach as a natural state. The technique is a concise version of higher consciousness healing as explained in Tara Springett's book Higher Consciousness Healing. Here is is: Imagine that you are having an orgasm, produce the feeling in your whole body. Then isolate the feeling of pleasure you feel from it. Expand that feeling you your whole body and radiate it outwards. Bathe in it. Surrender to it. Breath deeply and on every outbreath feel a wave of pleasure wash over you starting in your lower abdomin and going out to your whole body. This can be accompanied by a visualization. Any resistance you have to surrendering to this completely is exactly what is causing your problems. Just this will take you far but there are four additional steps you can experiment with: Do mula bandha to increase prana(google it) Infuse this pleasure with love. This will turn it to more of a healing embrace, which will make it even more healing. Imagine the archetype of the divine mother, a infinatly loving infinatly wise mother(in no way connected to your material mother). She might take the form of a guru you like or I prefer an avatar made our of radiant, beautiful light, or maybe the is more ephemeral. She loves and embraces you completely, even in ways you are not currently capable of. Now, open up your sense of pleasure towards this being. Open yourself up to her embrace. You can visualize her embracing you physically or witch radiant energy targeted at your second chakra. Listen to her say the things you always wish you heard from your physical mother. "You are completely loved and embraced". "I love you unconditionally". Don't make her say these things. Open yourself up to her communication. Her actions cannot come from your ego then they are not coming from the divine mother. Your ego cannot be involved in her actions, that would ruin the purpose of summoning her. However you can ask her things and you will receive. If she ever acts in a way that is less than infinatly loving and wise than that is really coming from your ego and should not be taken as her words. Open yourself up to her to the full extent of your ability. Chant aloud or mentally the word KAM but draw it out like kkkkkaaaaaaaammm. It should make you feel pleasure. Feel the pleasure emanating from the middle of your head instead of lower abdomen Remember, these are more like guidelines, don't be strict about them. Whatever works for you is the correct technique. -

@seeking_brilliance @seeking_brilliance in a sense non but in an other sense when things appear in our vision we necessarily have access to a high level of detail that we don't if it is a visualization. The two phenomena have some different properties, it is therefore useful to make a distinction between the two. -

@seeking_brilliance I haven't but our thoughts is our reality completely. Colors don't exist outside of our thoughts. The feeling we get from seeing green and thinking green are exactly the same so they are literally unintelligible. Even tho we really think we see something doesn't mean we have seen it. Don't underestimate how strong this illusion is. In dreams this is the case and so I assume it's the same for hypnagogia. I've seen things in dreams that were so vivid that I thought they appeared in my actual vision, but now I realize that it was all a very well ostracizated illusion happening in my thoughts. -

@seeking_brilliance that's besides the point but it's very interesting. Have you had personal experience of this and if so in how much detail did it appear? -

@Hello from Russia i honestly don't know why it isn't in the technique. I got the technique from the original kriya yoga book series https://originalkriya.com The author has a similar technique for sahasrar but it is only supposed to be practised after having success with this technique. My guess as to why is that when we open the first 6 chakras our prana naturally raises to sahasrar, non need for effort. -

The best pranayama: I'll share the most blissful pranayama I've ever tried. It's very poorly explained on originalkriya.com and it's the one SantataGamana modified to his own. It requires the ability to feel the first 6 chakras. Gently point your eyes towards the 3rd eye. Do ketchari mudra if you can. Gently do ujjayi breathing. On the in breath, bring up the memory of the 1st chakra in kutastha (middle of the 6th chakra). Mentally chant OM in the 6th chakra to open the remembered chakra. The chant should create a felt vibration in the head, just like you were chanting om out loud. The You should get a sense of comfort in your head as the 1st chakra opens in your head. Repeat for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th chakra and lastly chant OM in the 6th chakra alone. This should all be done during the in breath, as a total of 6 OMs. During the out breath repeat but go down instead of up. If doing 12 OMs during each breath requires efforts. You can do one chakra per breath with a long OM on the in breath and another on the out breath. All chakras are reflected in the 6th chakra. This is why they can be opened in it. To feel a chakra in the 6th chakra you can start by feeling it in it's location, then replicate the same feeling in the middle of your head. After a while you will be able to bring up a chakra in kutastha just by remembering it, with no need to divert your attention from kutastha. When chanting OM, your head you should feel blissful. You should feel comfort, pleasure, joy and love for the first 4 chakras respectively and a sense of purification for the 5th chakra. At the same time you should feel still and at peace. The point of opening the chakras in the 6th chakra is to collect your prana there. It should make you very pressent. The road to God in paved with bliss. The technique is not set in stone. There is an idea behind it but do what works best for you. Krita yoga is about results, not preforming a technique perfectly. -
I don't have a subscription but I'm on the forum. It's a very nice community. Much maturer that this forum. We could learn from that place.

Action fundamentaly comes from will, not truth. Find your inspiration and act on it inspite it not being grounded in truth.

All games exist on the spectrum between being a skinner box/entertainment and being interactable art. Good art teaches wisdom or shows you what life could be. That is consciousness raising.

@Vision Do tell me how it goes. I know it works wonders for me but I'm curious how the exercise works for others.

Oh, and take a nice shower before the exercise. The second chakra is subconsciously connected to the water element. This really helps.

It's definitely purple, any type of feminine we-space integrates purple, green included. Therefore the dissonance with the previous commenters. It's better to talk about this in forms of chakras as it gets to the heart of your experience. Purple is an expression of the second chakra. In it's open form it expesses pleasure and a warm healing embrace. This is why we say it's been a pleasure to meet you after we spent time with a good friend. Intimacy brings us pleasure. Sex also brings us pleasure so masturbating can become crutch if this chakra is closed, I just want you to be aware of this. Your root problem is that this chakra is closed. This makes it into shadow. Work on opening it and the shadow aspect will get better. I recommend reading the chapter in 'Wheels of Life' dedicated to the second chakra. This will make you aware of the patterns in your life that are keeping this chakra closed I also have problems with this chakra for similar reasons. What works for me is doing chakra opening exercises on the chakra. I've worked a lot with energy so it might not work quite as well for you in the start. But you can get to a point where by doing chakra opening exercises you will be flored by the amount of pleasure and healing, motherly embrace you feel. And you can feel a sense of pleasure as your natural state just as you can feels love in your chest or joy in your stomach as a natural state. A do both Kriya Supreme Fire focused under my navel as explained in SantataGamana's kriya yoga exposed (do at your own risk). And i do higher consciousness healing as explained in Tara Springett's book healing kundalini symptom. Here is a concise version of Tara's technique: Imagine that you are having an orgasm, produce the feeling in your whole body. Then isolate the feeling of pleasure you feel from it. Expand that feeling you your whole body and radiate it outwards. Bathe in it. Surrender to it. Breath deeply and on every outbreath feel a wave of pleasure wash over you starting in your abdomin and going you to your whole body. This can be accompanied by a visualization. Tip about long retreats: core and butt strength is very useful. You don't wanna have your back blowing out after some weeks. You should do a full, rigorous core workout every 3 days, or however long you need to rest between working out the same muscles. Doing 5-meo every weekend might be satisfactory to you. It has the effect on me that changes my energy for some days where it collects in the 7th chakra. This making every day life a sublime grace. I've practiced quite a bit of kriya yoga tho so that might play in to it. In my experience, when your prana is in the 7th chakra it gets pulled out of the body an thus makes it possible to act from love instead of pain. It makes living life a sublime experiance. If you feel like your life is unsatisfactory this might hold the key. I say don't become a buddha because you are unsatisfied with life. Become satisfied, and then, if you feel like becoming a buddha is your deepest expression of love then you can pursue it. -

Doing kriya without a guru is tricky, there are many subtle ways one can make mistakes. I think one should read many books on kriya and try to piece the puzzle together. I recommend Ennio Nimis'es book. I don't like JC Stevens book, it's to mechanical. -

A note on SantataGamana's pranayama: don't underestimate the importance of chanting aum. It is used to stimulate the first 5 chakras and is the whole reason Santata's pranayama can replace the classic pranayama. Learn the basics by chanting aum and feel where in the body it is felt and which chakras it is stimulating. He got the technique form the book: original kriya yoga https://originalkriya.com/ -

What an aha-moment. Thanks man -
@JosephKnecht inspiration just arises spontaneously. To understand what I'm saying you have to understand the post-modern assertion that morals can't be grounded in logic. See Leo's video on postmodernism for that.
-
Post-modern philosophy rightly points out that morals cannot be logically derived. From the ultimate perspective, happiness is not better that suffering and love is not better than hate. Yet we want to assert love. I've never seen the two being reconciled, instead they are held as a paradox. I've figured out how to resolve the paradox and create a moral philosophy that can asset love while being logically consistent. This is done by driving ethics from will/inspiration instead of logic, by saying: yes, love is not in any objective way better than hate. But I'm going to alogicaly assert that I'm going to act from love because I'm inspired to do so. I think a lot of philosophers do this but don't articulate that they do it. This makes it appearent to me that you can only convince people to change for the better by inspiring them rather than appealing to logic. Side note: you don't have to assert love, you could just as well assert hate. But at the same time I'm inspired to do everything in my power to get you to assert love. Is this as huge of a revelation as it seems to me? Has this already been discovered by someone else? Would love to hear from someone who is more experienced with philosophy than me. Would especially love to hear your take on this @Leo Gura
