Exactly! For liberating yourself from your limitations, understanding of the path, your goal and how to get about attaining your goal is of course necessary. Like a yoga practice, first you learn about it, get some understanding of it, then you stick to it and just do it. The problem is when you don't do it because you're too busy trying to understand all and everything that isn't really about the practice. So that's procrastination and also ego's way of preventing you from doing the liberation work. Instead of doing self inquiry, you're trying to understand how the world came into existence so you never get about doing any self inquiry. And the funny thing is that a liberated self is also omniscient in direct proportion to its freedom. The conclusion is that it's worth to research and understand that which will directly help you to do your practice and wait for the other stuff to reveal itself to you when and as you become freer from your limiting concepts. -

@EntheogenTruthSeeker Can you describe your religious preoccupations that are causing you insomnia? What is it all about? -
iamme replied to Cineva's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Cineva Read The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy. Replace "subconscious" with "superconscious" and you've got a nice tool to show you how you can determine what happens to you. Now if you think that your life path is predestined, it mostly is but your reactions aren't. So the predetermined scenario has multiple possibilities that you ultimately choose by adjusting your reactions. Set your preferred goal and keep your mind on it. -

Listen to the original audio files of Lester Levenson, read the autobiography No Attachments No Aversions, read the book Releasing Technique and see if you can stick to that. It's basically hard core self inquiry and you should have free time and determination to get results fast. Or read Ramana Maharshi and meditate on that. But self inquiry is the fastest way there is if you don't want to rely on psychotropics. -

You can't kill the self which we all call "I" but you can renounce the concepts, the limitations that you call "mine". -

Nothing is taboo in spirituality. Suicide is the self inflicted death of the meat body vehicle. The meaning of suicide is giving up or resetting the game. Of course the mental body cannot ever be killed nor can it die, it can only be transformed. So suicide is silly and stems from a lack of understanding but it's of course about more than just that (there are more mostly negative feelings involved). -

When the ego bound me is all alone that is loneliness. When the infinite I am all alone that is pure Bliss. -
iamme replied to MusicalPotato's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@MusicalPotato Assuming that I am infinite everything and nothing, I should be able to identify with what I choose or with nothing. If I won't identify with let's say love or bliss or well being or peace or rest as nothing, then why would I identify as loneliness or despair or powerlessness. Is it easier to identify as lonely than as whole, complete love? Am I pure love that knows no loneliness or am I bound to seek love? What other is loneliness than a desire for more love Why must I seek love instead of being it? What keeps me from being it? -

Ego's suffering is an inevitable curse as long as you're unconscious. When you have woken up to spiritual understanding, consciousness, awareness, any further suffering is indeed a choice. Of course there are stages in between but to overcome suffering you don't only have to agree that you're the ultimate being of the universe but to be aware of it at all times too! Then things might happen (or not) and you can decide if you're going to suffer or see it from another perspective. -

Yea I'm mostly interested in quick ways of getting negativity free. You can go meditate for lifetimes sure it will do you good. -

It's not so different because David R Hawkins was a smart ass student of Lester Levenson who originated Sedona Method and Releasing Technique. Hawkins parted ways with Levenson after a misunderstanding regarding Hawkins' request to Levenson that he makes Sedona Method contents available to everyone for free. Obviously Levenson told Hawkins to basically fuck off and Hawkins interpreted that as Levenson being evil. Well, Levenson simply defended Sedona Method from well wishers who would have it destroyed into Oblivion fast. When something is pushed for free, it loses value to an ego. Pretty much like the church thing. If it's free, it doesn't have much value to you, especially when it involves a lot of effort in doing it. When you pay for it, it's likely for you to become more committed. So that's how Howkins broke up from Levenson's club, spent a lifetime spreading his own understanding of things (filtered through his psychology/ psychiatric profession), even tried to be a clarvoyant able to tap into the collective consciousness (I guess he actually believed that) and bashing Levenson freely post mortem. On his death bed Hawkins finished Letting Go which is a tribute and a comeback to Levenson's teachings. The book was published after Hawkins' death. I advise you go back to the original, before the Releasing Technique and the Sedona Method got too distorted by their current owners. -

Meditation is indeed very dangerous to the ego. If it's your thing, just do it and don't get hung up on it. -

I'm very aware and conscious of my negativity nevertheless it's still going on so what do you do about it besides ignoring it to the best of your ability? -

A physical body is a vehicle, an astral body is an obstacle, a mental body is a limitation, an emotional body is a lie -

Leo what is your current opinion on each of us eliminating our own negativity? Is that even possible, should we and how? -

you as the god that you are, can always choose to control your attitude towards what's happening. You can choose to surrender to an experience or resist it. That's your level of control as per your matter handling skills. There have been reports of masters over matter who took psychedelics and showed no signs of tripping. Mastery over matter is an acquired skill, if you want it, you could get really good at it. -

@David Hammond It's nice you admit that you have growth to do and that you have a little lust. My question is this: supposing you would do a great chunk of your growth by not having any lust, how would you go about it? -
iamme replied to sausagehead's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
It's not like you can surrender to something. To surrender means to give up. You can give up what ever you decide it doesn't serve you any more. You decide you're done with it. You decide it's silly, false, in the past. -

Don't drink too much water, see a shaman, have a guide, enjoy ayahuasca. You don't have to travel far to do solitary confinement. "Water intoxication, also known as water poisoning, hyperhydration, overhydration, or water toxemia is a potentially fatal disturbance in brain functions that results when the normal balance of electrolytes in the body is pushed outside safe limits by excessive water intake." -

Journaling and self inquiry. Write it down, check if it's still true for you or if it's still useful. If the answer to either is "no", discard it as nonsense. For guidance to identifying emotions, read David Hawkins book Letting go. -
iamme replied to How to be wise's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
The way to not feel physical pain is to dissociate from your body. You, the existence beyond a physical body and beyond a mental body, surely is incapable of feeling pain. The way to feel pain is to identify with bodies to the point You forget how to dissociate or raise above. That being said, a physical body is easy to damage and difficult to repair. To repair a physical body, again a most effective way is to raise above. You are not the body is a way of saying you're beyond a body. So yeah, there is no need to damage the body in order to practice dissociation. -

The number one thing is to get rid of your non loving beliefs. Starting with getting rid of the belief that it's not easy to get rid of non loving beliefs lol So how can we get rid of beliefs? One way would be to ponder it and conclude that it's false or that it's not necessary. -

it's a mystery My take is that every Physical plane life is a multiple outcomes scenario that we have already reviewed in Astral plane so we are just remembering how the script goes. The script is just a script and of course our reactions to it have the potential to be infinitely surprising. -

self inquiry, beautiful <3 We look for someone to give us guidance but the answers are all inside. Cannot be given the answers, just guidance on how to find your own.
