  1. @Average Investor yeah I don't think investors are a good idea for this side gig. A non for profit, charity or for profit for purpose are better options, with an emphasis on the first. It would be hard, but the closest thing to getting money (not from customers) would be grants and donations. Investors wouldn't invest in this because its not an investible business. My 'product' is similar to Resonance Science Foundation and this foundation would be the closest competitor. Another indirect competitor would be Ken Wilber's Integral institute. The markets I'm trying to enter would be covered by these guys. Basically technical, but green or above people. The content I would be sharing is technical studies (similar to scientific studies but it does not follow the scientific establishment. Studies like the ones found in resonance science foundation). For example, mathematical models of emotional intelligence in relation to artificial intelligence, or mathematical frameworks for interpreting psychedelic phenomena. The value I would be giving is, giving people positive emotions such as curiosity, fascination and wonder, with a technical/mathematical flavour to it. So they would pay and in return get those emotions. Usually in business, to find value you find a 'pain point' or problem. Unfortunately I don't think I can apply such a paradigm to this business, because increasing more consciousness is not a 'pain point' or problem, like how poverty is. Pain point or problem relies on a materialist paradigm, which this business will not be using. However, at its essence, people pay money for positive experiences or emotions, and so this is what I'm aiming to try and do. I still need to figure out what the market wants, and how to position this thing, and I'm currently looking at competitors to help with this.
  2. Yep agree. I dont actually meditate for an hour a day(or some other schedule) rather i just meditate 24/7 or just contemplate all day, feels much more integrative that way. Sitting down for an hour or 2 feels like youre isolating yourself from the world. Ever since i started meditating all day and treating spirituality as a lifestyle, things changed massively.
  3. I've transitioned to a new phase or mental state which is radically different to the past. Its affected my career and relationships and basically everything. It started after realising that there is no substance or meaning within the words we use on a daily basis, and materialist paradigm. I feel like a whole new world has opened up to me. When someone tells me a statement or some concept, I can instantly realize that its got absolutely no substance, and its just void. I'm barely interested in concepts, or reading, or intellectual knowledge now. If you tell me for example that smoke causes higher co2 emissions, I can instantly realize that this statement is completely untrue because if you contemplate what smoke, cause and co2 is, its just void. Nothingness and just appearance. And this is everything. Its one big seem/appearance. I cannot take any conversation serious now, because I know this person is talking about Nothing, but doesn't get it, he/she thinks he's/she's talking about something of substance, rather than Nothing. This has led to a lot of positive things. But I'm finding it challenging with my career. I use to care about solving problems and making a better place, because I believed in those problems actually existing, but now I'm aware that those problems don't have substance, and are just appearances. And we are all pretending these problems are real when they aren't. This has changed my orientation and perspective as an engineer/inventor. Instead of having an agenda to manipulate the world (solve a problem), I now have a desire to understand reality more metaphysically. I'm super curious about the world, now that I realize I got everything completely wrong. I want to metaphysically explore and relearn everything. This has shook my whole life purpose plan (developed in the life purpose course) because I now do not have a desire to be anyone, but who I wanted to be is simply Nothing. No matter how I explain it. Helping the world is less about (for me now) solving their problems, but expression God's beauty and love. Its about creating for the sake of creating, and BEING apart of the beautiful creation that I am now rediscovering and admiring. This is such a different mindset, and I don't know how to make money from this POV. Its very easy to make money from the problem solution mindset, but how do you make money expression creation beautifully? I feel like the carpet has been ripped from underneath me massively. How do I now make money? What do I do now? Still be an engineer? What girlfriend do I get? I feel like I'm incapable of surviving in such a mindset. I don't know how to make money. This is the biggest thing I'm suffering. Surviving in this mindset. And the intellect just does not work here. So I can't even think about how to solve it, only observe metaphysically. Any insight on coping with this would be appreciated, thanks!
  4. Fleeing to canada is a good option. Not australia, large portions of the population, and the current government, is anti immigration (as much as the UK if not more)
  5. The distinction between a wise person and non wise person is completely relative. The universe is wise from an absolute standpoint, but the idea that some people are wise and some aren't is completely relative. Everyone is equally wise from an absolute standpoint Also the distinction between an intelligent person and a non intelligent person is completely relative. The universe is absolutely intelligent, but no one person is more intelligent than the other. What we call intelligence wnd wisdom is an arbitrary cultural label that has no resemblance to absolute wisdom and intelligence, another way of saying it, a dumb person resembles intelligence as much as a smart person. There is initially sadness from this realization, but afterwards comes deep relief. What intelligence and wisdom actually is, from a relative point of view, is literally something that can be talked about, but cannot be pointed to. Because its not actually there, its simply appearance but no substance. If all the big ego scientists and silicon valley geniuses and show off new age teachers realized this they would be shitting bricks. Bragging is absolutely impossible, because there is absolutely nothing to brag about, unless you insist the appearance is the substance, rather than the appearance, and you have followers who insist the same. Blue collard workers are perceived as less intelligent, or as doing work that is less intelligent than scientists and engineers purely because of conspiracy. There is no difference... ahh this might be an example of what Leo talks about when he says there are no boundaries.
  6. @Aaron p No mate. I would if I had access to them. Actually I'm currently making a drone to collect shrooms in the wild as a side project. Its a fucken awesome project, its got a robotic claw and fully automated and shit.
  7. @Aaron p a definition I held for a long time was intelligence is wisdom in a specific field, wisdom is intelligence in all fields. This is a pretty good one.
  8. @ttm No No No you don't understand the insight I was sharing. You're coming at this too theoretically and intellectually. the way they process information seems to produce different results, but doesn't actually in reality. There are definitions people agree on, sure, but these definitions only seem to be consistent, they aren't actually in reality. Words seem to be useful because they are consistent, but they aren't consistent, and the idea that they are consistent and converge is not true. You're pretending definitions are consistent to maintain your sense of reality. You're not getting the seriousness of the post. I'm telling you scientists are as intelligent as a construction worker, and your above post is an intellectual attempt to prevent yourself realizing this.
  9. No, thats just your relative point of view of intelligence. Blue collard workers process just as much information as scientists. Everyone defines intelligence differently, and each of those definitions have nothing to do with intelligence. There is deep wisdom and intelligence in the universe. They do have practical usage to explain consciousness.
  10. Eidomorphism puts its own perspective and spin on Godel's incompleteness theorem so that it can fit into Leibniz's monadology paradigm. If THAT is how you define misunderstanding, then yes he does. But doesn't everyone put their own spin onto anything they read or cognise? Aren't we all misunderstanding by default? How do you know whether he is misunderstanding him or not? He's dead, you can't ask Godel to clarify, and even if you could, how would you know if what came out of Godel's mouth is being interpreted correctly by you? Are you actually asking, 'it seems interesting, but from the excerpts I've read, it doesn't fit my paradigm and my paradigm is cool and awesome and spiritual and above these intellectuals because its spiritual and therefore they are misinterpreting Godel, and I'm not sure if I should read this book because it might disappoint me and try to convince me to change my paradigm and that would be aweful because my paradigm is better than theirs and if I loose it I will loose my cool paradigm... ohh and its not a paradigm, its the truth because Godel made it and he's enlightened as fuck'
  11. @Roy Sounds like its a substance that specializes in samadhi states, and extreme versions of it, so extreme that you have a samadhi state in different realms.
  12. What can salvia give you that others can't? In terms of consciousness exploration? When would it be appropriate to use salvia instead of shrooms or any classical psychedelic?
  13. @JakeR fuck that makes me really want to try it
  14. @LfcCharlie4 Gotcha addiction. Sounds live salvia is the perfect psychedelic for you. Dont worry, you wont need to worry about addiction there I dont see psychedelics as competing with meditation or yoga or any spiritual practice. I see it as competing with spiritual teachers. 20000 years ago before language, there was no spiritual teacher, judt spontaneous mystical states. When language was made, the guru master arrangement was formed. When the internet came, the maverick style or the having multiple teachers style came. When psychedelics come, the multiple spiritual teachers will be replaced with psychedelics. You still need to meditate and do yoga, and talk to a teacher occasionally maybe, but your teachings will come through psychedelics. Language is limited, so spiritual teachings are limited. Psychedelics dont use language they use experience, which makes them a hell of a lot more effective. In just 1 trip you can learn how to meditate correctly - something which takes years in a guru disciple relationship. This is a revolution like how the creation of language was a revolution. Nothing will be the same once we've learnt how to use psychedelics properly. Psychedelics isnt appropriate for everyone, but i predict this will be the trend. My first experience with psychedelics was 8 baby woodrose seeds. I taught me how to meditate, where i should be aiming, how i know whethe the meditation is going well or not. That experience alone was valuable, and had i had to do it by myself it would have taken me a decade to figure that out.
  15. Everyone I love is not around me and at parties I didnt get invited to. Deep depression formed from feeling alone and loosing my friends and family and therefore my history. Decided to contemplate on what the sadness is. Long story short I became aware that my friends and family dont exist, their parties dont exist, and Im all Alone(with a capital A). This brought great joy because 1) no other can kill me and 2) I cannot loose other. And this is absolute. Absofuckenloooooot! Im here, the present moment, with nothing outside of me, nothing to kill me, no outer space to loose anything. And the best part of all I'm pure love and joy. Fuck yes what a nice state. I then realized that my sadness came from believing in a false notion of separation, which was caused purely by being sucked into a thought story outside the present moment. The present moment is literally all there is. What happened next was the the physical universe bent: trees bent, space bent. Simultaneously it went to darkness. The physical universe disappeared and all there was, was darkness. Then a pure white light came. With massive bliss, massive energy, massive love. I felt like my past was disappearing at a rate of knots, replaced with pure love. What in the actual fuck was that. Didn't even know the universe could disappear like that.
  16. @LfcCharlie4 Chasing highs is a problem in meditation too. Actually you might find altering states of consciousness really fun... maybe even more fun than the 'normal' stuff.
  17. @LfcCharlie4 Why arent we looking at Shamans??? Am i missing something here? Plenty of shamans that talk about the infinite. Also no matter how good your argument skills are, you arent gonna get to the bottom of how good psychedelics are just by conceptualizing. Go and try it. Then you will see. Psychedelics will be really productive and effective for some personality types but not others. While I've only tried psychedelics 3 times, i can already feel its very effective for me. Because im the sort of person who cant meditate for 1 hour everyday, just doesnt excite me. Im one of those people that contemplate whenever can(most of the day). Because i contemplate and do it most of the day, integrating psychedelics fits perfectly into what i already do. For those who segregate meditation vs life(sits down for 1 hour or 2 a day to meditate then act like nothing happened) could possibly not get far because integration wouldnt suit their lifestyle. You need to also consider times change. New technology replaces the old. Old was horse and cart, now its cars. Psychedelics is new, or are now more publicised due to the internet. You cant rely on the past to predict the future. I have a hunch that psychedelics work best with Jnana types because inquiry determines level of stuff you take back from the trip. Also energetic kriya types would do well with them too because psychedelics open chakras.
  18. @zeroISinfinity mate the universe fucken disappeared in like a second and transformed into something unbelievable. Mate it was like i was cheated i think life is so sophisticated and laws of physics so hard to break and then the fucken entire thing just fucken disappeared in like a millisecond like wtf man
  19. Youre wrong in that you think psychedelics are a useless tool/technology absolutely, but youre right in that it can make some people just go back to baseline. Shamans (and other spiritual traditions like yogis) have been using these tools for healing since the dawn of time. They do work. But its not guaranteed it will work. You need to put in just as much effort as the psychedelic is. The point of psychedelics isn't to significantly increase your baseline. Thats a point you're getting completely wrong. Its to get you(temporarily) in touch with your deepest self so that you know how to increase your baseline. Its to show you states of consciousness that are so bizzare that your mind opens and it unlocks blind spots, things that have been getting you stuck in your journey. Its a tool to boost the process you use to increase the baseline, but it does not increase the baseline itself. Thats why the work is still needed. You won't find anyone who got awakened through psychedelics because thats not their role. Their role is more fundamental then that. Their role simply replaces the role of having a guru or listening to a teacher. With psychedelics you can channel your own teacher who is perfect for you. Who asks: has anyone gotten enlightened by their guru? Like seriously guys come on, no one gets enlightened by spiritual teachers. Therefore spiritual teachers and gurus are a waste of time, ineffective. Dont listen to them kids.
  20. Thanks for the advice! Ill try you again next week and see if i get better results!
  21. Following
  22. Enlightenment is an illusion If you're not conscious of that, simply up your shroom dose(or meditate more). Suffering due to not realizing youre already enlightened/realizing your true nature is a serious issue that must be dealt with. But teaching people enlightenment is real and theres a clear distinction is deeply unwise and problematic. Youre encouraging people to conceptualize and mentally masturbate over this realm called 'enlightenment', pointing them in the exact opposite direction to where they need to go. It encourages wild fox zen mentality. Youre encouraging people to chase content or an egoic structure(spiritual ego) in the name of becoming enlightened.
  23. @LfcCharlie4 Thanks for the post man! Exactly what i needed to hear! @VeganAwake The same guy who said that we shouldnt look for aliens because they will try to invade us like what the romans did to other tribes. That dude needed to see DMT Machine elves, and see how loving aliens are. AI is a tool, can be used for good or bad. What will determine it's results is our level of development as a species.
  24. @Dutch guy Be open to the possibility that 'hit' is literally a projection, 'rotation' is a projection and 'bone' is a projection. Im not saying the qualia is a projection. Im not saying the colours and the like, im saying your interpretation of them is a projection. What's the difference between hit and rotate? You could say rotating is an object hitting air. Why is hitting real? When an object hits another object, its actually just pushing air onto the leg? When the object seems to touch the leg its not actually touching the leg, there's a thin veil of air between the leg ans the object, and science has shown atoms dont touch each other. So how is your projection of hit real? Yeah you have all of these skeptical concerns about energies IF you believe in your dogmatic projections of 'hit' 'rotate' and 'bone' yet when those things break down then what are you gonna do? OMG you're gonna have to actually perceive reality in awareness and just use that! This is what is meant by the body is a projection. Youre so wrapped up in your beliefs of your definitions of your words that you've built a bogus truth determiner that's predicated upon shaky and corrupt grounds. It seems like the body is connected to energies because youve defined it that way. I dont care how you define things, i care about whats true. And whats true is, the body as a whole is literally a projection. What is a body? How have you defined it? What if after contemplating what the body is for a while you discover its actually just Universal Mind Scientifically speaking, the body is lightwaves reflecting off the body into your eyes then your brain converts the waves into electrical impulses. So what youre looking at is not the body but electrical impulses. So youre trying to prove that energies are in the body by saying these electrical impulses are consistently acting a certain way... instead of this bullshit why dont you just look inward and in awareness?
  25. This one is so tricky and I fuck up both ways with it (or do I? Can't tell) all the time. What's the difference between aligning with truth/following your passion/following your dreams vs maintaining your ego's current structure vs maintaining survival vs being lazy vs lying? In my life purpose, I have a rule that I must push myself out of my comfort zone. So I push myself to do things that aren't me(good thing right because killing me is the goal?). I'm naturally (or in other words my ego's current structure is and what it wants to maintain to death, no oxymoron intended) anti social, love having my own space, freedom, independence and creative problem solving. I've naturally fallen in love with artificial intelligence and AI, and basically making very creative, intelligent AI systems. I've been paid good money by employers in the past for it. I dropped out of university to make a startup around it. Making a startup is far more than creative problem solving and AI though. Its product market fit, marketing, valuing your company, business architecture, lean canvas, etc. I've been through many accelerators and spoken to lots of investors - which also requires really good emotional intelligence, being very social, knowing social cues, etc. So a lot stuff outside of what I like doing (AI and creative problem solving). In the past I've said its a good thing that I'm pushing myself to do all of this stuff, because it helps kill me. Doing stuff that I'm not suppose to be doing, that I wasn't born for, etc. But at the same time you need to focus on a particular niche that you're passionate about. And you can't do that if you're trying to be a business expert, marketing guru, charismatic hipster cofounder, and all of the other stuff they teach you in accelerators. And when I do these other activities, I just feel hollow, because its not what I want to be doing. I don't give a fuck about marketing, business architecture, etc. (well I care a little, its a little interesting, but no where near as creating AI frameworks - especially AI that can classify shrooms... I've been working on a personal project recently of an AI drone that searches for shrooms using computer vision AI. Getting AI and mushroom taxonomy working together is a very cool area of research. Also doing geographic studies or where shrooms grow the most is fun too). But I'm not sure if these feelings (of not wanting to do the business and marketing side) is just ego trying to maintain itself. It certainly seems that way. And if it is that way, is that a sign I need to do more of the thing I hate? The whole finding your niche and specialising strategy of LP just seems like a clever way of the ego maintaining itself, which goes against this work. What's the difference between following your LP and maintaining ego?
