you can have mystical experiences without a desire. But you cannot accept those mystical experiences for what they are without desire. -

HAHAHAHA that's hilarious. Joe's in for a shock when he dies. Way worse than dying LOL. -
no one is in charge of the system.

Lol. Get where you're coming from. Meant being a researcher like writing research papers and being an Einstein. I think if I get good enough at doing technical research and making inventions I could make a living off IP licensing or selling inventions/patents to larger corporations.

@Leo Gura How do scientists truly become free of wage slavery? I've got my own business, where I invent technology for a living, but its not really science, more engineering, and the bigger the business gets, the more mundane the job gets, plus the more managerial it gets the more employees we get. How do you be your own boss as a scientist? It seems super hard, need to make a business that relies purely off grants and possibly selling patents.

just for lols, Amazon also pretty much has the monopoly in the artificial intelligence and computer vision/machine learning realm too. Its far cheaper to make AI tech on amazon servers then on google or microsoft servers. -

I'm trying to map my urges and wants on the spiral dynamics scale. Is this urge a stage orange urge? It seems achievement oriented. But not sure. I tried to be as authentic and as raw as possible with what I feel. Could you tell me what stage this urge maps to(for my self development, I want to sort of put this urge in the big picture of things) I've got a vision for how to revolutionise the world. I feel a deep sense to be authentic and honest with carrying out this vision. I'm willing to be seen as a crack pot, crazy, insane. I'm willing to let go of all needs to please people and get their approval and fully surrender to my vision. I don't have a desire to really relieve suffering or make the world a better place. Rather I have a desire to express, or work towards carrying out an expression of what I think is True. Again even if that makes me crazy. Fuck people who think I'm crazy, I'll fucken bust through it all. Complete loyalty to my vision, as loyal as the actor in Braveheart was to Scotland(or ireland? cant remember). My main motivations for fulfilling this vision is really for pushing myself: I will go through lots of rejection, hardship by trying to carry this out, yet I'll also have an amazing, wild adventure. It will be like being indiana jones. My other motivation is really because I believe this vision really reflects Truth. It really emanates truth for me. The details of the vision isn't super important, but I really believe that the world's perception of AI and what the singularity means is limiting and bullshit. I really fucken believe that the scientific community's materialist views of AI are limiting its development, and that an AI revolution will come from integrating psychedelic and meditative insights into AI. That means going off the rails massively and proposing deeply radical stuff in the AI community. Lots of rejection, being called a crack pot, being taken off committies and being mocked. But I'm fucken going for it. I'm really motivated to do this because I think its true. Its really my only motivation. I don't know this will relieve suffering or make the world a better place. But what I think it will do, is expand consciousness. It will expand what we think is possible, and it will align us with truth moreso. It will express authentic desire to express truth, and in this case expressing it means building expansive new ways to make AI. This vision isn't superficial or just an idea. Its something I will definitely try. This is Not the first time I've had a vision and sacrificed for it. I dropped out of college back in 2017 to start my own company with a very supportive cofounder/partner in china, my parents kicked me out due to their disgust, I was homeless, got a part time job because couldn't get investors for my/our company, company started going really well, then it stopped going well and I flew back from china with news of the company failing, while on the flight back my wife divorced me. When I got off the plane and headed to work, they fired me and lost my part time job(at the start of this year), got through it and now its going 10x as well as it was a year ago and its getting much better with 4 employees rocking with it. What kept me going is knowing that this company is who I authentically and and want to express to the world. And I'm not deterred from getting crazier and putting more balls on the line for a bigger vision, a vision more crazy, and more aligned with who I am, what the truth is. Try mapping this, any insights appreciated.

Do you think its foolish to create your own research organisation, rather than try and work at a university? I'm in a position where the former would actually be easier than the latter, yet its half maverick as that research lab would likely research things which are not mainstream. -

I'm a massive compulsive thinker. fully breathe in an out very fast 120 times, then fully breathe out and rest. Do 4 rounds of this, that will blow all those compulsive thoughts away live a tornado. P.S. its meant to be uncomfortable and cause you to be dizzy. -

you really do, but it takes listening and believing in others for a long time to realise that. -

Yeah there seems to be a 'dislike' for Nothingness on here. As soon as you talk super deep about Mu or Nothingness, they shit on you. Leo is too caught up in Everythingness. A repulsion to emptiness. You can go just as deep into nothingness as you can in everythingness, but people on here just don't get it. -
Why do you need actualized.org when you have access to psychedelics? You can literally just channel a teacher or experience that will teach you everything you need to know, with much more clarity because its experience rather than words

I'll become your roll of toilet paper and tell it to your 5 meo ass. Who says you're a human, and who says that's a kangaroo? A kangaroo was once an animal that hops and punches people. Then you meditate... Then that kangaroo reveals itself as a holographic projection, with culling. Then you meditate more... Then that kangaroo is YOU What a kangaroo is, is your interpretation of form. And even on the dualistic level, science revolutionises. Back in the old days, that kangaroo got sick because it had a demon in it, now it gets sick because bacteria, who the fuck knows why it will get sick in 100 years time. Its all form interpretation, there's nothing absolute going on. what a kangaroo is, changes every century, and it can change every day through meditation, and it probably changes massively of psychedelics. -

there's nothing 'human' or 'kangaroo' about form, you're free to interpret form however you like. -

Wanted to share something interesting. all of the spiral dynamics stages now feel baseless. Feel grounded in nothing. The preference for 1 stage over the other, or for things that a stage supported over the other stage, came from valuing the core elements or essential source of what that stage represented. Stage blue for example, has lots of loyalty for a particular group over another, and a deep respect for that group. Those features emanate from a blue essential source or core element. If you're a blue oriented person, you will feel a strong passion or beauty for the features of blue (loyalty, respect, etc). That passion is what makes you prefer blue over other colours. That's what I call the essential source or core element of blue, its that passion for the features of blue. That passion feels like a ground or solid base for your world. It distorts the relative value of all other features from other stages. Same thing with orange, you can feel a sort of grounded passion for certain features of orange. With green, you may have a passion for saving the environment, and that passion makes you view other features of different stages as being bad or you may have a bit of disgust towards it. The passion is so overwhelming that all other features from other stages get washed away, or treated as foreign. I had the experience that the entire universe is essentially groundless. There's really no ground to anything. There's no ground to your feelings, no ground to the chakra system, meditation techniques. The world is all very empty. Its like a completely empty jug. There's no substance to absolutely anything. And that's quite a full circle sort of feeling, because its like you're back to square 1, back to where you were before constructing anything. And this gels well with the spiral dynamic stages. All of those essential sources, or core elements, of each spiral dynamics stage, is essentially groundless. It feels like you're back to a blank canvas, back to where you were before having preferences for any spiral dynamics stage. You went full circle and are now back at the beginning. What spiral dynamics stage you prefer is really what essential source or core element you choose to create and value. There's nothing fundamental about the universe (apart from consciousness). Whether you're blue or orange, just depends on the way you've constructed your reality. There's no construction that's universal or better than the other construction. They are all just different structures, like different sculptures. Each spiritual path is not better than the other, as everything is groundless, but just different and beautiful in their own way. The chakra system, for example, is completely groundless. You constructed beauty, but you also constructed ugliness in your construction. The ugliness is like the ugly parts of a sculpture you created. This could be suffering, neurotic behaviours, dysfunctional behaviours, obesity, etc. And so to fix these, you created other constructs to balance them out or repair them, but these were also groundless, so you essentially fixed nothing, but you fooled yourself into believing you did. And within your groundless structure, you did. That's essentially what the chakra system is. And while each structure is groundless, its still possible to make different levels of beauty in those structures. Within the structure, each component means something relative to the other components, and by combining them in certain ways, you can build beautiful things.

1:50:50 "if you do this, if you become infinite love, you will take everybody with you" Did anyone else have a massive freak out when you saw that part? shiiiiiiiiiiit. That's like being an ultra mass murderer. Of course, not because you're dysfunctional, but because that's the point of life. Idk I felt a massive responsibility for the whole world when he said that. Its because if you're aware that you are everyone, if you're conscious that you're living all of those lives, then that statement was like you're killing everyone simultaneously. Like for real. That's not imaginary, that's real. You're living all of those lives simultaneously right now, and you will kill them all at once. Like a murderer.

@Rilles it is, otherwise why are you trying to rise to turquoise?

Lol I knew the chakra comment was gonna piss some people off. hahahaha. Why I put it in there tbh

wow, I never really liked personality tests because of how inaccurate/non descriptive they were, but that one seems to be right on the mark! My ex girlfriend would always have this obsession with needing to feel loved. She loved dogs because dogs gave her love, and she was a teacher and she would always always talk about how she loves her job because this kid and that kid gave her love and said nice things about her. Anyway, I thought she just had a mental or psychological disorder from acting this way because it was weird as fuck to me. I prefer to be a hermit and stay locked in my room so I didn't get it, but there she is! Perfectly described in type 2! Yes 5 resonates with me very well.
