70% of the time. Things that bring me back to the present: my buddha wallpaper on my phone my buddha wallpaper on my laptop my alarm that goes off every hour with the text "be present now!" quotes from adyshanti, sadghuru, mooji etc on my facebook newsfeed -
Do any of you sometimes experience situations where you mind somehow does a full circle, and falls all the way back into deep neurosis, the same level of neurosis that you were at, at the beginning of your actualization journey? For the last week I've been feeling deeply, deeply anxious, somehow my low self esteem has come back and slapped me across the face, and its almost like I've time traveled back 6 months, to when I was crazy. I don't really know what to do about this, its has sort of struck me off guard, but one thing I can say for certain, is that I'm feeling pretty frustrated, because all of the issues I thought I solved ages ago, have somehow revived themselves. What would you do in this situation?

@pluto I'm not sure why you're so certain that plant based foods are the healthiest. I've also studied this topic, and the conclusions are always a mixture is the healthiest. I posted an actual study, you posted what? An ancedote of your life? Hmm i wonder which one is more valid. Please dont spread misleading information the reason why human were able to evolve in the first place, was because we discovered how to burn things and eat meat. There is literally no other reason. @Socrates lol the first post is actual research done by mayo clinic, which is a well respected organisation. What have you put forward? Angry dictatorial, nazi style comments. Which one seems more likely to be true to me? Honestly its pretty fucken obvious that if you eat a vegan diet, that you risk not getting enough vitaminB12. Im actually a vegan myself who takes B12 supplements. But if you do only the slightest bit of research, you'll realize that having a mixed diet is the best. 80% plant based, 20% animal (particularly fish) based

Why so? And which yoga ma dude, im currently doing wim hof's method, which is basically Pranayama yoga + tummo (inner fire meditation) and i do nidra yoga every night to fall asleep because i sleep sitting down and its uncomfortable. But it doesnt seem to be making my life less chaotic. @Dingus haha but it affects ya schoolwork. But yeah surrender is the most enjoyful way of dealing with it. -
electroBeam replied to electroBeam's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Dingus I find it difficult to guage whether or not im going in the right direction, because things chop and change so much. One day ill be in the present moment from dawn to dusk, other days my mind will be of that of a psychologically ill person. Sometimes ill have realizations like free will doesnt exist and feel limitless, and not give a fuck about anything, and then other days its like im in a prison cell. Its so hard to manage, if you even can. -
@Ryan_047 I understand your pain. Its feels so much easier to just commit suicide then and there. You really need a distraction. Otherwise your mind will trick you into thinking that death and self harm are the only valuable things to do in your life. Give the wim hof method a go. Its a beautiful piece of art, that will help you massively.

Health problems are only problems from a dualistic perspective. Do you care that the moon has craters on it? If not why would you care about health problems? -

Dude just enjoy life. Be in the present 24/7 and love it. *if i have to sit all day doing nothing, so be it* You dont have to do anything. The only reason why one thinks hes not happy, is because he thinks it. Fuck enlightenment and enjoy life! You know, i watch my uni friends, laughing, cruising through life, not worrying about anything. And sometimes i think they are more happy than all of us so called *spiritual* people on here. -

I might be misinterpreting you, but we all know that every positive belief is inherently false. Can you believe your attractive? When you contemplate on what attractive means, its hollow and groundless. So how is it true? All thats true is something is false hahaha. -

@Martin123 Yogic and Dao type visualizations are particularly dazzling and amazing, as opposed to the tony tobbins type stuff. Breathing in prana type visualizations are suprisingly effective. Wonders to why its not more popular than 'im successful' -
electroBeam replied to Shin's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Martin123 more rooted in the present moment love it. This is what, i think, the law of attraction is missing for a lot of people. -
electroBeam replied to Shin's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Shin how do you decipher between deciding to get attached to a positive belief, or dropping it?? Because even positive beliefs can endanger your sense of freedom. If you truly believe you are say attractive, you'll become a slave to that belief, and lock yourself away from trying anything that you deem unattractive, or you'll get so attached to that belief that you may form your entire life around getting more attractive. And when someone calls you ugly, if you really do buy into the your attractive thing, you're ego will try and protect it and get angry. So when do you decide to keep the belief or drop it? @Martin123 you can give this one a go too. -
I was watching one of Leo's insights, that he developed from his retreat, and he spoke about the dangers of getting too caught up in trying different methods. Main reason why was because you tend to dabble a bit, and not get much out of the technique, before you try another one. There are literally millions of spiritual techniques out there. Its so easy to get caught up in trying bits and pieces of each one, and not really get anything out of any of them. Currently what I do to resolve this problem, is to try out a few techniques, try and pinpoint what it is about that technique that does work and that doesn't work for me, and then try and find techniques that highlight that aspect, while still trying different, random methods once a week just to survey the landscape a bit. What do you guys do about this problem?

Thats the perfect definition of an individual who is allowing themselves to be ruled by external vibrations, rather than actualizing their own vibration. No you shouldnt be as he wants you to be. You should be as your true self wants you to be. Ive tried that method - acting like a marketing expert, and just doing things that are mechanically going to work. Its not how the universe works.

its called lo-riding, FYI. but how else are we gonna show that we have a big D.

That's not how the world is. Its more like Logic is based of reality, reality is not logical, but logic is realityish. Logic is a set of commandments, not by the bible, but by individuals who mistake the belief in consistency as fact. Believing in logic may be helpful for enlightenment, but only as much as believing in Vedanta is. Logic works very differently to enlightenment. Its only loosely based on empirical observation, and it can only solve problems that are inherently conceptual. Objectivity is a skewed interpretation of subjectivity. Its a second, artificial layer to empirical observation, and its only useful to individuals who have a preference, or are attached to those meanings. Saying enlightenment is logical only makes sense within a logical paradigm. Outside that paradigm you begin to realize that perspective shifts have nothing to do with logic. -

- the common 'everything is colourful and i feel energised' but you can't put your finger on it. - feeling almost like your floating. I.e. body dissapears. - feeling like everything infront of me was spontaneously made. Like nothing existed before seeing it. It eas just spontaneously made. But you can't put ya finger on this stuff, its not something you can grasp ya know. -
electroBeam replied to Voyager's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Voyager i think your post is useful. I'm struggling to figure out if my mystical experiences were in fact mystical, or something else, because they are so so so subtle that its hard to notice them. But at the same time its so profound that everything else changes. -
Has anyone noticed that anything is truly possible? I mean we assume that life has physical laws, that are deterministic, and that the world is just a physical blackness. But has anyone inquired enough to realize that those physical laws are mere illusion? And that determinism is really just illusion as well?? Has anyone done enough inquiry to realize that dropping a pen isnt because of some law, but because the universe/god/you want it to appear as though the world has laws, and really its just a facade. And if thats the case, ehat does that mean? anything is possible. Like literally anything. There are no limits. There is actually nothing holding the world together. Just inquire and see. If there are no physical laws, and no determinism, and if the world is literally every combination of things that are possible, what does that say about what you lack?? Do you have self esteem issues? Do you feel like you are not good enough? But if the world is everything, what does that say about your lack of something? Have you lost a love one? Thats really sad, but what if you were experiencing just one variation of your life? What does that say about the lack of a love one. If youre really rationally minded, try inquiring about the nature of determinism, and the limits of the universe, and see what happens. There's a beautiful and profound realization waiting on the other side.

@Loreena probably, And 2, i dont have a position on whether or not gravity or the laws of physics are real. We have a brain, and inputs from our senses make up our reality right? So if you look in front of you very presently and silently, you may think that you're looking at a screen, but actually according to science youre looking at inpulses from your brain. Not a screen at all. So if thats not true, if you look outside what makes you think that there is a world with predictable laws? Just day you see a dude walking past you, you may think that, the person had been somewhere else before he walked past you, because that's how the world works. But what makes you think that? Maybe he wasnt anywhere before hand and god made him up as soon as he walked past you. Why do you think he existed beforehand? Its a belief but can u break it down enough?@Evilwave Heddy sure but is that because of some laws? Can you see those laws in your experience? If you cant what makes something predictable.
