@Serotoninluv That is really cool! I did watch a few episodes of Westworld but didn't encounter these scenes you speak of, perhaps I should keep watching then. -
@NEW11 Are you still willing to share that list?

@Guest Quanty I do agree with this to some degree. After retaining my vital energies I've noticed an increase in my short-term memory, working memory, and long-term memory. I can sustain 6 to 8 numbers in my wm while before I could only sustain 4 to 5. It took roughly 100 days of semen retention to get this, and I also quit smoking and some other destructive habits, meditated more seriously. I think all of these factors contributed to me being more able to utilize my potential. For example, there is research supporting that meditation increases working memory.

@Outer Is it? I actually forgot most of what we disagreed about. Have you read the rise of the Superman? It is a great book. Anyway, no harm intended, we are obviously both passionate about these things. Cheers brother!

@Outer Using any study older than 6 years is bad practice. Especially studies that reference other studies from decades ago. It is not b.s. what I am talking about just read the most recent studies on how ADHD/ADD works, it has to do with phenomena similar to transient hypofrontality.

@Toby I think it embodies a lot of the values presented by Leo, that's it. I am not saying it is entirely yellow but it does have a yellow flavour, in the same sense Quantum Mechanics has a yellow flavour inner that it combines science and deep metaphysical concepts. Combining math and mysticism seems like a yellow activity, it follows a lot of the values Leo presented like novelty, complexity, nuance and so on. For example, think of Leo's video about Godel's incompleteness theorem, which is basically combining logic and metaphysics, which is a very yellow thing to do. I think yellow has an easier time conceptualizing transrational ideas, due to a large amount of knowledge and powerful cognitive capacities. For example, a yellow person might be able to logically explain how telepathy is possible. I think yellow has a better understanding of what transrational entails than any other stage except turquoise, but yellow does not necessarily embody it since yellow is still very left-brained dominant. I think transrationalism fits turquoise better. Leo presented a very large list of yellow values and keywords, I think to attribute it entirely to transrationalism would be a myopic view of the concept, that is just my opinion on the matter I think the matter is a bit more nuanced than the literal definition of transrationalism. Compared to the Peaceful Warrior movie, Pi and Primer embody much more values and keywords that Leo presented from the theory of Spiral Dynamics that are associated with the yellow stage. These are my reasons for attributing the movie Pi and Primer to yellow, feel free to disagree. -

@Haumea2018 I think you are very correct. Suddenly I am remembering a few yellow movies, Pi and Primer. Definitely not for everyone since the movies bring up some complex topics. In Pi, they combine math and mysticism. Primer is also complex and requires for you to literally study the movie to understand it. What do you guys think, am I exaggerating? I think Primer and Pi will be greatly enjoyed by people interested in the yellow stage as a concept. -

@Serotoninluv Already seen Samsara, wonderful movie! Interesting you mention Westworld, I think I will give it a go. Can you perhaps share what made you go out of your conditioning while watching Westworld? -

@Toby I already saw it. Any other ideas? And thanks for the suggestion maybe others will see it! -
I actually have the same issue as you. I think this shows the limitation of the SD model when we take the individual point of view, I think SD works great from a macro perspective but lacks nuance from the micro perspective.

Hello, Does anyone know of a movie that is reminiscent of stage yellow from Spiral Dynamics? Thank you in advance. edit: I just remembered two movies that are potentially yellow in case someone is interested: Warning! The movies might not be enjoyable if you don't understand some mathematical concepts or other complex topics.

Pierre Grimes I think this guy is legit at the edge of yellow in the direction of turquoise. He has a great understanding of enlightenment, Buddha, consciousness, meditation, hierarchies and so on, however, he lacks the embodiments of these concepts, he is very cerebral and left brained dominant. But at the same time, he is also very close at pushing yellow to its capacities. He was great friends with Alan Watts, which I think is also someone deserving of the yellow title given how non-judgemental Alan Watts. Pierre is also very meta unlike the other examples, you can notice this meta energy within the first 2 minutes of the video. I don't want to be a party pooper but a lot of the other examples are not really yellow imo. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Manly Palmer Hall Founder of the philosophical research society, giver of thousands of lectures, written 150 volumes of work, written The Secret Teachings of All Ages which popularized mythology, the occult, and other esoteric topics in America. The same as Pierre Grimes he knows about all kinds of topics and is able to combine them holistically, for example, he has lectured about intuition, tarot cards, astrology, drugs, mysticism, pineal gland, hermeticism, mythology, finance, language, enlightenment, and so on. He combines these topics beautifully. He is also very big picture oriented and genuinely concerned about the entirety of humanity. He some very interesting novel lectures about the chakra and the mind. And also some complex and nuanced lectures about what thinking is. I think Manly is significantly higher than Pierre Grimes since he also has some siddhis like a photographic memory. People say-- and you can confirm this yourself by watching a video lecture of him-- that when he spoke his eyes moved from left to right as if he was reading from his mind. I'll dare you to find him say "uuhhh" one single time in his lectures that are hours long! Another interesting characteristic of Manly P. is this one: Clean content, concentrated information, which is very prominent in his lectures.

@MarkusSweden It is and is not an ego trip, it is quite paradoxical -
@Outer Fine Outer, let us put this behind us and move on.
