So , I heard leo talks about paranormal abilities , and that they exist in real life. I have done several astral projections myself , but I don't really consider that "paranormal" , it was more like going in a dream directly from the waking state . But still , for the other kinds of "paranormal abilities" , is there any proof of their existence ? I know that , for centuries , mankind has recorded these events , and writen about it... But here again , how can we be sure , this isn't some fairy tails... That maybe people who wrote about that just ... wanted them to exist ? I am not really convinced about the argument that "someone who has these abilities tends to stay humble", and today , each time someone claimed having some of these abilities, we always find out it was a scam. So how do we know really for sure that these abilities exist , considering the fact that we don't even have a single valid proof.

if these kinds of power can be achieved by having "higher" levels of consciousness , you could make a chair levitate while tripping with 5 MEO. has anyone done that ? -

I always find it silly that people automatically assume that if someone wants to suicide , it's surely because he doesn't know people love him. like : "oh why do you want to kill yourself ? your mom loves you , your father loves you , everybody loves you ". why do you assume that any suicide related question is about love somewhere ... lack of love , or lack of awareness about the love he receives ? Maybe someone just want to end his life , because he doesn't see any meaning in it ... maybe he got the feeling that life being an illusion , it has to be a joke, a bad joke filled with non sense. -

1) islam is a very complicated religion. Because we don't know for sure , what are the words of mouhamed , and what aren't. there was 5 versions of the quran before uthman ibn affan decided to burn 4 versions. 2) the sunnah , ie , the compilation of all hadiths , is filled fith non sense. the hadith about the punishment of the grave for exemple , isn't from mohamed. it's from an old delusional woman , and this hadith was spread by abou hureira , who was a notorious bullshiter... and the fact he was a bullshiter didn't prevent boukhari to record every hadith of him , and there was a lot. a lot of stupid hadiths , from a man , that wasn't even close to mohamed. 3) muslims can pray 5 times a day , fast in ramadan , and give zakat , but that doesn't matter if there are no true intention behind these deeds. There's a reason why muslim countries are filled with hypocrisy , and are decadents. That's because muslims don't embody these values fully , but rather just ACT as if they do. 4) from the point of view of non duality , there are no soul. nor any judgement... Because what would be judged ? the illusion of the ego ? There's even no free will for any judgement. no good , no evil. But maybe , what we call hell or paradise is just a mental state after death . In this case it would still be a "dream", not fully real. -

you are right to do so . But still , maybe the only way to know it , is like he said , having a direct experience... And even then... There's one scientist , tom campbell , that had numerous experiences in non duality... and he is clearly not convinced about the infinite aspect of consciousness. For him , it only appears infinite for our small human minds. I don't know what to think about that right now... I have no way to buy psychedelics here in france (it's illegal) . -

this one is from the emir abdelkader... a sufi that lived in the 17th century in algeria : "Allah is in Himself the non-being and the being, the inexistent and the existent. He is at the same time that which we designate by absolute non-being and by absolute being; or by relative non-being and relative being. . . . All these designation come back to God alone, for there is nothing which we can perceive, know, write or say which is not Him." He was a great man... When we fought the french , he actually has forbiden any prisonner execution , murder , and torture. He was then exiled to syria , and saved there a christian community from being lynched. As much as I hate islam , I think suffis are one of the most beautiful islamic community out there... full of wisdom , and love , they spent the last hundred centuries being hated because of their teachings...teachings that are the opposite of orthodox sunni islam and chiia islam... And yet... Looks like they weren't really far from the Truth. It always amuses me when I hear a muslim say "look at these suffis , and their belief, they are crazy , they think they are gods" , and am here , thinking : "oh boy , oh boy , you have no idea of that cosmic joke we live in" -
everything is in the question ... Since consciousness is the only thing that exists,do you think there will be a point where we start to see a complex AI showing signs of self awareness ?

@tsuki that's pretty wise! haha. Actually by self awareness , I mean having the illusion of having a self , a different self from the surrounding. we generally tend to assume that consciousness is an emergent property , but what if it was the ego itself ? -

well , a neural network is always adjusted. How do you think you can remember an event , or learn new informations ? It's your brain creating new connections. -

@moon777light It's like instant consciousness switch. my first one was a direct switch between waking state to AP... there's no gap , or void , between them like when you go to sleep and dream. then , I was just flying across my room... I even heard gary jule's "mad world" song... it was just magical... the song was extremely beautiful, as if all the music notes were existing by themselves and were not produced by any instrument. I still remember this part of my experience the most , and I was amazed about how that song could sound so perfect. I did another one few days ago ... this one was weird ... I started to "zoom" on the wall... it's like , a second you are in your bed , the second after , you are seeing the wall from very close. then I went into a weird "tunel" ... I don't remember what was behind, but I do remember that I freaked out... I remember saying to myself that if I kept looking the "thing" , I'll just go mad . Then I woke up ... and here's the weird part ... I remember that , before I APed , it was night time...like 4-5 am. When I woke up , it was 7 am. I have spent 2-3 hours , in an experience that felt like 5 seconds.
