Yeah we wish. She's a great leader. Probably the best in the world right now, can't think of anyone better. She's what the future of politics will look like. -

He would be 78 yrs old by then. With his diet, health and mental decline, I highly doubt he even could or be alive by then. -

Most people I have talked to are banking on Biden not being able to even finish out his first term, leading to the Harris presidency. I'd like to think that the Democrats knew the American people would never vote in a black/Indian left leaning woman for president, so they used Biden, an old man on his way out, as a Trojan horse to get who they really wanted in the white house. But that's just a dream theory I cooked up with no real basis in truth. -

1986 movie 'Highlander'. The main character is immortal. The Kurgan represents the Highlander's Ego. It's large, dark, destructive, selfish, and likes to indulge in baser animalistic desires. Once the protagonist kills his Ego (the Kurgan), he instantly experiences 'The Prize' and says "I know everything!", I am everything!". The Prize is full Nondual Enlightenment. -

Okay, I'll bite. Could you please list for me all the great accomplishments, actual policies that he has written into law, that has helped the American people, not just the rich. Edit: Not just things he has said he has done (lie), but actual polices written into law. -

I go off of what Trump directly says and dose himself. That's not hyperbolic, it's coming directly from him, not filtered through anyone elses agenda. -

You're right, screw left or right, it IS about the future of America. You and I want the same thing. But, if you support Trump, then you are actively going against the very thing you say you want. Because if he wins, our country will no longer be free or successful for most any of us. -

If Biden gets elected, he will be 77 years old. Doubt he makes it to a full term, so we'd most likely get a President Harris. Hard to say how she'd do. She's been putting on an act for this whole election process, so hard to say how she would do once fully in charge. Just based on very superficial aspects, I like that she is a woman of color, and she'd be a more reasonable age at 57. But, anything more concrete, who knows how she would do on policy till we see what she'd do, how hard she will push for change, or just pander to corporate donors to maintain the status quo. I would like to see Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez run against Harris in 2024. She will be eligible to run in 2024. Would be another historic fight. Instead of the Corporate Democrats against the dying breed of Corrupt Republicans, it would be a fight between the up and coming Progressives against the dying breed of Corporate Democrats. -

Now is all there is. Time is part of the illusion you are imagining. Real and not real are dualities that collapse into One. You are all that is Now. -
This was painful to watch. One of the most arrogant things I've seen in a long time. Very disheartening.

Well said. Good points.

True that's an assumption. But, I would assume someone who has had hundreds of awakenings and fully understands love and oneness wouldn't go around hating on everyone. That's a logical assumption, based on my limited understanding of infinite love. But I could be wrong, maybe someone who becomes one with everything could then just act like a total asshole. But, based on evidence of most people who have had many awakenings, peacefulness, calm, and exuding love is a common effect.

I would think most here would expect a teacher that fully understands that they are God, there is no others, and all of reality is a dream they are dreaming, and has tapped into infinite Love, and understands that their ego self is all false, would act in a peaceful, wise, loving way. At least that's my perspective, and I'm sure others probably think similarly. So when that same teacher acts in a way that seems like Ego, experiencing other as real, and seemingly acting not from love, it could be maybe jarring for some. Not saying any of this is true or what's happening here, just a possibility for the conversations sake. Leo is personally one of my favorite teachers. But I do sometimes wish he was exuding love, showing love verbally, to all. It's one thing to understand everything is Love, even hate. It's another to have your every action be one of love and connection. But in the grand scheme of things, everything is perfect as it is.

Yes, wonderful quote. When my grandmother was dying, the whole family was there crying and fighting with each other. I had to tell them all "what are you doing? Is this what you want her last moment to be experiencing your fighting and arguing? Stop being selfish and think of her experience as she ends her life". This is why I like to trip alone. Nobody to distract from the inner journey.

Nothing is for certain, but lets make some educated predictions of the aftermath of the election. As of the election probable outcomes: Biden wins by a landslide. Based on early voting poles, this seems like the most probable outcome, with record voting turnout, mostly Democratic votes. https://www.nytimes.com/live/2020/presidential-polls-trump-biden. Through cheating Trump ekes out a win. Manipulating the Electoral college, the Republicans are able to stay in power. Russia is able to manipulate the voting data somehow to show Trump winning. Trump losses, disputes the election and takes it to the Supreme Court. With the addition of Trump henchmen Amy Coney Barrett and Brett Kavanaugh, the decision will most likely favor Trump, thereby him successfully stealing the election. But lets go with, for the sake of this post, that Biden does win by a landslide, and Trump's efforts to steal the election fail. What then will happen to Trump? Right now there are dozens and dozens of criminal charges waiting for Trump. https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/17/politics/trump-election-legal-reckoning/index.html . Between the Manhattan district attorney's broad investigations, New York prosecutors, IRS criminal investigations, and possible treason charges from the new appointed Justice Department, any one of these could spell a lifetime in prison for Trump once he no longer has protection and immunity of the presidency to protect him. If Trump looses, what is the most likely outcome?: No investigations stick. He gets away with every crime. Trump has a lifetime of getting away with crimes with no consequences. So maybe he will be able to weasel his way out of any repercussions for all his crimes. Our country has shown that the rich can buy their way out of anything. Trump gets convicted of one or all of his crimes and goes to prison. His arrogance has him think he can beat the system, cause he always has. Biden and his new cabinet and justice department arrest him and all his associates to make an example of them, to restore public trust that the system is not broken. Biden pardons Trump. Gerald Ford pardoned Nixon of all crimes. So the precedent is there for this to happen. Trump causes a civil war to keep him in power despite the loss of the election. He is certainly hinting at this as a possibility or wish of his, but this seems like a very unlikely scenario. Trump, immediately upon losing the election, flees the country to avoid any prosecution. To me, this is the most likely scenario. Two days ago Trump talked about losing the election and fleeing the country. https://www.thewrap.com/trump-if-loses-says-maybe-leave-country/. The United States and Russia do not have an extradition treaty. It is well known Trump and Putin have a strong relationship. So if Trump flees to Russia before American authorities can stop him, he will be safe from consequences for his crimes. What scenario do you see happening with Trump after the election?

There's been record breaking voting coming in from most polling stations in 45 states. There have already been over 30 million early votes, with 15 days still to go. Early in-person voters in Georgia are up 152% from 2016. This election is nothing at all like 2016. https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/18/politics/what-matters-october-18/index.html -

Now that's interesting, do you think if Trump did get convicted and sent to jail, that the majority of Americans would not overall be in favor of this? Me, I would think most would be celebrating in the streets if this happen. As it might restore their faith in the broken system. -

Rick Perry, in 2016, dropped out of the presidential election, had three felony charges against him. This actually boosted his ratings by about 7% according to a Public Policy Polling (PPP). In 1920, Eugene Debs ran for president from a prison cell. He earned 3.41% of the popular vote. My guess is, since Trump got away with so much corruption over the past 4 years, it will open the floodgate of greedy people to try and cash in on the presidency too. If Biden wins, and they don't change a bunch of laws to ensure that something like this cannot happen again, expect many many criminals, some maybe even having been convicted of felonies, running for office in 2024. -

Nope, it mostly accepted and encouraged in US politics. -
Sempiternity replied to Sempiternity's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
But it's not that simple. If there wasn't the dozens and dozens of criminal charges that have been pending for years, while he has the protections and immunity of the presidency. Once that protection ends, he is going to be hit with criminal charges from multiple fronts. So it's not a question of what he wants to do after the election, and more what is going to get done to him. It's more can he beat every single one of all those dozens of criminal charges. Because if just one of them sticks, he will be going to jail. And if he does get charged, what will he do? That's the questions. -

That's a bold statement. She's about as smart as they come. See anyone go up against her, and she owns them. -

Anywho, going back to the main topic, anyone else have a prediction, what do you see happening with Trump after the election? -
Sempiternity replied to Sempiternity's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
Because the current model has Biden with a 91% chance of winning, so going off of facts, not opinion. Because everything he does is cheating, it's his main trait as a human being. Look to pretty much everything he has done and said in his entire life for evidence.
