  1. Sustained emptiness in which ever new arising's can arise and dissolve without attachment.
  2. Oh yeah. Been primarily stuck on Tool for years. Others: Pantera, AIC, RATM, early Metallica Not a stoner, but stoner rock has been grabbing my attention recently for some reason. Maybe try watts fear or fear of death on YT.
  3. Ok. Now I get it Each arising moment is perceived as a fresh, new moment.
  4. For passive attention observation, there is a necessity for space/freedom from identification with thought/memory/conditioned mind,in order to see the whole of movement. Without complete separation from the conditioned, there will be involvement with the conditioned, which will inherently distort/veil clear seeing. Correct?
  5. I'm taking infinite creativity to mean the same as infinite intelligence. Is that correct?
  6. True. And often assumed there's not going to be too much resistance involved. Until it starts digging into the deeply held beliefs that hold the structure up. It often goes like this: "This liberation, freedom thing,... yeah, that's what I want." "What's that?? Oh, the cost you ask?" Well, the cost would be every belief, assumption, conclusion you hold as true, including those you didn't know you had. Those will have to go. Oh, and that other thing you've been holding onto your whole life. That thing you call you.. Yeah, that has to go too. You don't get to keep that either. That can be a bit of deal breaker, lol.
  7. When I say 'relatively" it is to say, In the relative/dualistic, there are the conceptual labels/distinctions of aversion/desire. In the unconditioned unmoving, there's just the perceiving of movement. It's what is happening in that moment.
  8. Exactly. In desire there is aversion. In aversion there is desire.
  9. Relatively, when there is yes to one thing, at the same time there is the creation of no to something else. As soon as one action is made,it's opposite is made along with it. In this, they are not seen as separate, but as one movement without differentiation.
  10. Interesting how the E8 looks strikingly similar to the Om mandala
  11. The one (non-thought)-perceiving false/separate I self -acting as observer/witness -to movement/content of mind/thoughts?
  12. Who or what is it, that seeks to be? See that, what is, is already here, being. Empty...timeless..aware...abiding is-ness/presence .
  13. The primary thought before all other thoughts is the I-thought. Implying the belief "I am the thinker of thoughts". When one inquires as to the source from which "the I that thinks thoughts arises",it is found to be non existent. It disappears along with all the thoughts, showing it to be a thought also, and not the true "I" or Self. The "who am I" practice is/was recommended by Ramana as a concession to those who weren't quite "ripe" for the question to fully end the ego/thought-self. Someone who was 'ripe" for the question (i.e, had done previous sadhana/practices enough to clear/purify the majority of their karma, or was just karmically ready by birth),the one question would end the ego identity for good. For others (maybe not all),the question does end thought briefly/temporarily at first, by creating a gap of inner silence/stillness and emptiness. Upon which the ego will rise again and the question "to whom does this thought arise for". If a sufficient level of inner silence is already present, thoughts will end upon questioning "who/what am I". If not there will be a mental answer of "me". To which the "who am I" question is re asserted. Every time one is brought back to that silence and emptiness, the "non-practice" is to stay there effortlessly, be the witness to what may arise. With consistent inquiry, one remains in that silent, timeless emptiness longer and longer, just being. In the emptiness is the true, no-thought, I-sense. The abiding, thoughtless knowing/awareness that 'I AM" (I exist). Being . The source is prior to time, knowledge, experience of the thought/belief "I am (I exist as) the body-mind". Permanent abiding in the timeless, unbound, infinite aware Being,is enlightenment.
  14. "F*ck is a magical word". Starts at 2:17.
  15. In the absence/transcendence of "I","self",Reality is. In being, one is not one 'with" the infinite reality, one is the infinite reality. There is no "other" or "I" personality/ego, to be one with something else.
  16. Legit. It's rare that one dissolves the ego in one instance. Once the ego has been seen for what it is,it's only the beginning. The complete dissolving takes time (for most). And it isn't much fun. Awakening is only the beginning. Then the real battle, the real tests start. Spirituality, enlightenment, union, etc., is not childsplay. One way or the other, there will be suffering to endure. I liken it to Arjuna's story in Bhagavad Gita and the battle that awaits him. Adya's one of the few I've seen who let's you know this up front. He often says "be sure you know what you're getting into", because at a certain point there's no turning back. The seeker, the hunter, becomes the hunted. Caught in the tiger's mouth as it were, and no escape. Anyone would be wise to heed his advice on making sure this is what you want.
  17. Shanmugam: Criticism is all well and good but for "not trying very hard" you're really going the extra mile to make your point, lol. Btw, I'm not a 'devotee", of any sort, and zealously"defending" sadhguru,as if that is even needed. I'm sure he's got more important things to do and not very interested in such things as this. I agree his devotees are a little overboard in their defense, but he is someone they love and look up to.To not expect any backlash from them would be an error in judgement. Anyway, congratulations on going beyond the psychological bondage and finding freedom. I truly mean that.
  18. Who are you trying so hard to convince, and why does anyone need to be "saved"? People have the right, and the intelligence, to make their own choices. For better or worse. Your experiences with Sadhguru is not indicative to everyone's elses's experience. Osho had quite a few detractors of his own. With any respectable level of "fame",there will come detractors who "know the real dirt" about those in the spotlight. More often than not,it's to draw attention to themselves. The title of this thread is little more than click bait to draw attention. Exposed:The cult of Sadhguru and Isha Foundation . Come on man,you could have done better than that. If you want more attention and/or traffic to your website and book, post something more worthy of getting them there, instead of emo trigger drama. Gurus have faced the "cult" drama accusations for many years, Sadhguru isn't the first and certainly won't be the last. Besides,he's dealt with these accusations for most of his 30+"guru career". Most of the world seems to think he's a pretty upstanding and righteous dude. They all can't all be idiots.
  19. @robdl @Faceless Beingness, i.e,Presence, is being in the timeless. In the absence of self-I'ness/thought,is abiding joy, contentment, peace.
  20. Image: witness(Self) - ego - mind objects Objectless Awareness/Self or true witness > to the "I ego watcher" > that is watching/observing thoughts and or objects. In the image above,false-self/I ego, can "play" the character of being witness/observer of mind/thoughts/objects. It is, itself, an object. A thought object, taking on the character of observer to other objects/thoughts. The timeless, objectless, aware Self/true "I", is the true witness/observer, that cannot, itself, be observed. The unobservable observer. You can only rest in or Be, the timeless, empty, purely aware, true"I", that is beyond all phenomena external to it.(mind, thoughts, concepts beliefs, feelings, body, sensations, perceptions etc.). This can be a bit confusing. Prior to some sort of an "awakening",or experiential self realization,it will most likely only be conceptualized/imagined mentally. The initial shift or awakening of "dropping" into the timeless absolute,(even if it's only for a moment), has to be made. For it is that shift where the "I"/ego is finally (in it's totality), perceived/seen for what it truly is. Just an illusory phantom with no substance or reality to it. Totally non-existent.
  21. The fact that you're taking personal responsibility for your own healing is act of self love. No doubt you will have more profound insights and healing to come. Thanks for sharing.
