VictorB02 replied to GabeN's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@GabeN The river flowing by my house, how the hell is this doing it all on its own? Then around 7-8 p.m. around 500 geese come in one huge flock to roost on the river: holy shit this is happening all on its own Like, this is literally insane all of this is happening... How the hell do these geese know to work together like this? How do they even know what to do? Oh yeah... because of the intelligence of this universe -
@Knock You're good! It's all apart of the journey, my advice is to not beat yourself up too much. You know what you need to do, and thats a great thing. I wish you the best!

Thats what I thought If the YouTube channel, forum, blog, etc. you've started involves any type of talking sh*t, then you are definitely not motivated by love/creativity, you're motivated by ego/attention. Seems like a very obvious thing to ban these types of people when they show up here.

@How to be wise Thank you for your insight! -
@Paan I think it comes naturally, at some point after buying a watch you will maybe think to yourself “that’s it, I’m not gonna buy another” But the urge/desire will probably always be there.

@ULFBERHT I think you're good man. Keep looking for it. You will most likely never find it unless you are searching for it -
VictorB02 replied to ShugendoRa's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@ShugendoRa Yes it is. I have actually glimpsed the ox, and cried in realizing that everything is perfect in the moment while reading that book. But it def did not make me enlightened. -
VictorB02 replied to ShugendoRa's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@ShugendoRa His books offer great advice for anyone from beginners to seasoned spiritual seekers. I do not think it is the all inclusive wisdom you need to be enlightened, although many people can become enlightened from never even knowing it was a thing, and of course, less "wisdom" and "knowledge" is better when seeking enlightenment. But just reading Eckhart Tolle will surely be cutting yourself short of all the other great theory that you should learn while on this path. -

@VioletFlame gotcha, thank you -
I am currently re-watching Leo's video called "The Dark Side of Meditation" and I have a question that I'm hoping the forum could help give insight upon. I noticed lots of people in the comments of the video are stating that all of these side effects (hyper-horniness, hyper-aggression, etc.) are side effects that happen to people that don't meditate as well, which I can understand. That led me to this question: How are these side effects different to the meditator compared to the non-meditator? Is the difference simply that you are aware of these side effects if you meditate contrasted to unawareness of these side effects letting them control you? Or is there an actual difference in the sense that these side effects are being purged and rooted out, not merely happening your whole life? And insight is appreciated, cheers

@Cepzeu thank you @Leo Gura Ahh, Gotcha with the lifting metaphor. So meditating really is the equivalent to lifting in the sense that you are intentionally putting yourself through that pain to grow, instead of it just letting it happening randomly Thank you. -

VictorB02 replied to solr's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@solr self love, and allowing yourself to go through the waves of growth is really all you need. A wave always has a high point and a low point, all you need to really do is just be aware that you are at a difficult time in your development and the high point is right around the corner! As far as not socializing, I don't really think it's that big of a deal. Because in actuality, you only have one life, and this one life is composed of what you decide to create with your time here. If people are draining you from your work or just draining you in general I do not see a problem with taking as much time as you need to be alone to grow. -

@joeyi99 I would go for around 2 grams for a first dose. You want to utilize your first trip as much as possible because you have no prior trip experiences to mess with your mind before tripping, you are going into it as a beginner-which is the best fertile mind to receive new ideas. Usually the first trip is the most positive and powerful. -
VictorB02 replied to Pouya's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Pouya You may just not be at the right place in your life to have a serious inquiry habit. Many times I have tried to introduce new habits into my routine and I can't get them to stick because it just isn't the right time. Try building up to it, as others have said, you will most likely need to have a developed mind to the point where you can even sit for that long without losing focus. I find that starting small and building up over long periods of time is what is best to introduce a new habit -
@Spence94 I think if you are in a situation that is draining you, you should definitely change it. There is definitely a balance that needs to be made

@Gladius Try to get a part time job that will allow you to develop your venture while still making money. If you don't decide to do that, then all I can say is that if you want to make sh*t happen you just gotta make it happen, even if that means losing sleep to have time to work on your project. VictorB02 replied to Tistepiste's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Tistepiste People only grow when they are ready too. It could just be that he isn't in the right part of his life to listen to what you're saying. I remember my girlfriend suggesting for me to meditate around 2 years ago, every time she would suggest it I would ignore it and just shrug "that won't do anything to help me".... now 2 years later I have been meditating for almost a year and an hour a day. It just has to happen with time. -
VictorB02 replied to Onecirrus's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Onecirrus If it was easy then there wouldn't be any opportunity to grow. The fact that its hard to love them is a great sign, it means there is a big door open for you grow through. All you really have to do is watch your emotions when interacting with them--anger, irritation, observe these emotions and be aware of when and why they are happening. And then let them be. In time, you should grow to accept them for what they are, and as the users above me have stated, see them for where they are--its not their fault per say, it just is what it is. -

@solr I'm glad you decided to quit! The first couple of months will probably be hard as you will most likely face some ego backlash, good luck!
