  1. It's possible you are getting into a routine. Spend a few minutes connecting with your intentions first and see if that helps.
  2. If you don't decide to go to Minneapolis I'll make it to Chicago. This is a great idea Leo! Super cool. Why don't you do it on Saturdays and Sundays? People from a distance will be able to make it in time after work/school if they are in a mon-friday schedule.
  3. Make sure you go to bed at the same time. No artificial light 2 hours before and minimal light an hour before bed (times adjustable). What helped me was cutting out my addiction to stimulation. I used to have a terrible time trying to sleep. Now I get at least 8 hours every night and wake up at 6
  4. I know nothing about politics and don't care. Should I learn about them? Is there any benefit?
  5. I use binural beats when I'm not home alone because hearing people talk makes meditation harder. I've noticed they help a lot. Mixing a long binural beat with a SDS and a good technique can put me into a state where meditation takes no effort and it feels great.
  6. Don't conceptualize those quotes and try to "figure it out" Use them to examine a facet of your present experience and simply observe. Leo explains it like this, there is no need to try to figure it out because it is right there, all you need to do is watch it until you become conscious enough. Your realization of what that quote is pointing to will not be in words, like the quote.
  7. I'm 16, a junior in high school and I plan on going to college. I do not know what I want to do for a career. I like psychology, spirituality, and psychedelics, but could likely be best suited for a different career. How do I make a study of the options I have? Resources, Mindsets, Teachers. (Leo, or whoever knows)Should I take the life purpose course, if I don't know what I want to do? In other words is it designed for finding a life purpose or for those who have an idea of theirs. Any other relevant advice and insight? Thanks
  8. I wasn't planning to do so. My point was that those our things I'm passionate about, and would be interested in a career in because I'd like to benefit the world through them.
  9. @Peter Zemskov Try stretching before meditating? I have a lot of involuntary spasms and leaning while meditating. @Charlotte that's wild
  10. There really is no limit to dosage. Also, many people report that after taking intense psychedelics or having a crazy trip weed was way more intense.
  11. I mean I would never, but a friend of a friend does it in the safety of his own home, and generally does not get up but to go pee. A lot of people get psychedelics from illegal buying, but some produce it themselves.
  12. @WindInTheLeaf I think that's a good way of saying it. Look into the contradiction and what it really means.
  13. When you breath out, feel energy going throughout your whole body
  14. I've watched some Tyler and noticed the same thing. Will check out Julian. Tyler has mentioned spiral dynamics before, I think he's pretty evolved from a spiral perspective too. He has lots of orange fans but seems to be at least green, some amount of second tier. He's a fan of spiritual shit.
  15. This ones on my list of to read. A lot of reviews say its very beginner and repetitive. Is this true or is it all leo's book list hypes it up to be?
  16. Recently took 2g mushrooms. I meditated and did some self inquiry, tried to do strong determination sit but that only lasted 45 minutes. All of a sudden I had some huge realization that was non-conceptual. I couldn't take it back with me. For about 5 minutes I was in such a deep bliss and peace, there was absolutely no suffering and I started balling my eyes out. Then it started to fade just as fast as it came, and I tried to get back to it/hold on, but realized I couldn't and let it go. I don't know if there was a self/other duality or not. When It happened I kept thinking OH MY GOD OH MY GOD, THAT'S IT(IT meaning the truth) then pausing, realizing the significance of whatever I had realized and mumbling it to myself over and over while I cried. I think this is an enlightenment experience. When you have those is it possible to not think the idea of "I am nothingness", "god, or "infinite". Is it possible to have that realization without taking back that conceptual understanding with you?
  17. Thinking about taking 2g and doing a strong determination sit for the trip. I've been doing daily 1 hour strong determination sits, with mindfulness and self inquiry. Is mixing these two great tools a good idea? Is it a recipe for transcendence, or disaster and a trip to hell? What are your thoughts, and has anyone done this?
  18. Is there a way to know if you experienced enlightenment? I've heard people say if you experience it, "you'll know", but I don't
  19. Elliot Hulse has some great videos talking about bioenergetics, meditation is also a great technique, Elliot says he got into bioenergetics because he was too neurotic to meditate. I recommend strong determination sitting for purging repressed emotions. It's really powerful especially when you get to a point where it's really difficult, and you stay mindful and aware of the body and its feelings.
  20. Doing personal development, will improve your social life. It will make you not be a needy friend. You should do both personal development and build a social life. You seem to cause yourself pain because you think a social life will make you happy. You need to realize it won't, and that can happen from building a social life while being aware, or from personal development. What do you do when you aren't socializing/ living social life that you want? If you play videogames, watch tv or youtube, or some unconscious shit like that you're gonna end up unhappy. Work on replacing it with meditation, self inquiry, and contemplation, that will help more than anything.
  21. I get a ton of visuals, morphing fractals and colors. Especially closed eyed but open eyed too, if there's a plain surface like a ceiling.
