Have you considered saving up money from your job so you can eventually leave? What kind of service do you intend to provide? As a healthcare provider
-
I think you should plan to get out of that job. The fact that you have a lot of free time is great! Use that time to start a life purpose, and get yourself ready. Also use the job to save money. Take a moment to realize how lucky you are and grateful you are for finding resources and ideas that will help you get out of wage slavery. What are your obstacles for using your extra time to start a life purpose?

boo boo ba chu Just because other beatboxing communities exist doesn't mean you can't create something. Brainstorm ideas for niches. e.g. your idea of a forum.

Would there really be a huge backlash with Bernie? It feels like we already got that out of the way with Trump. The ideas of Bernie are not new, in fact the election of Trump can be seen as a backlash to those ideas. Now that the backlash is over(which i'm saying could be the case), Bernie will have a somewhat smooth presidency and we will stabilize at a higher level.

I was concerned about this when I started the technique but couldn't find any research on it. He talks about hyperventilation a couple minutes after 9 minutes Does shamanic breathing cause hyperventilation?

DON'T DROWN. seriously be careful. Is it a strong river? If you were as capable and stupid as a toddler would you get swept away? -

tl dr I have noticed what you described. My mode of being was radically different before. I have also noticed that this has always been the case. For about 6 years, I have noticed that I could not recall at all how I experienced reality a couple years before. I think this has to do with me being 17 and still developing. It's hard to tell if the most recent change is from spirituality or growing up. How old are you? this could be your case -

From my experience, one thing that I want is to have real life friends that have the same interests as me, like the people on here do. I find the platform of an online forum and the internet to just be so limiting that I wouldn't pursue being friends with people on here. But if I met any of you in real life I think we would get along great. -

Hey, coming from someone who has been using it for over a year, 0 to 4 times a month, and has not been at all addicted. It depends how you do it. If you do it then go do unconscious activities, using it to make them more enjoyable, that won't work. Cut that out. I like to go for a bike ride and focus on mindfulness. Or you can meditate. Or spend time with friends, just be careful to not use it for hedonism -
Iceland used to be a huge forest, but stage red vikings deforested the whole thing in the 9th century. Now that they are green, they have got it from i think 0.5 to 2 % forest. It will take hundreds of years to restore it. This may be what happens in brazil. As long as species do not go extinct, recovery will always be possible. A stage green society would even donate their land

His most recent video, he talks about retreats, kundalini, and the dark night. He made a video shortly after Leo's 'dropping the roles you play' where he mentioned that video. His videos have lots of practical advice. And Leo would love this one:

Man you could write a book @Danioover9000 about this -
I've always wondered about this, modern psychology seems to think psychopathy is not a temporary stage
-
yup. It's a long ass book I recommend getting the paperback. I was lucky enough to get the 2nd edition on accident, and it's great.

I'm almost done with this book, I didn't think it would be good, but my Grandmother insisted I borrow it from her. It fills me with positive motivation and equanimity, it's one of my favorite books. A part of the book is autobiographical, and another part is artsy picture with poetic stuff, but most of it is very foundational, insightful, and practical advice. There are 20 or so chapters on meditation, yoga, dance, psychedelics, guru's, mantras, sleep, siddhis, and tons of wisdom. It's from 1971 and represents the best of the hippie culture.

tldr I find from my experience that retreats and trips have the same effect on long term growth, both result in a backlash that can be fought through to gain growth, it is just that trips hit a higher peak. If you are concerned with those peaks, you are correct you will not get to the same levels. If you are concerned with permanent enlightenment or higher consciousness, retreats and sober techniques will do you just as well.

^ I'm a total noob. Yea, I think Leo's ego backlash video is one of the most important things to keep in mind. -
(This story is about a friend of a friend, just using first person so it makes sense) cough This is my first trip since around 8 months ago. Tripping is what got me to actually be able to start and maintain a practice of meditation then(around 8 months ago), and after that I decided to focus on that for a while. I set the intentions of getting insight into Life purpose and my sadhana, and also answering the what am I question. I took 3 grams and used this recipe I felt way less nauseous than usual, and the come up was very fast. I spent some time thinking about life purpose, and money. I felt like I had a really deep understanding of how the economy works, in the sense of people exchange value for money, meaning I have to create value, it really clicked. Then I started doing self inquiry and for like two hours I was launched into this egoless state of mind. There were no thoughts about myself during it. I didn't know what the world was or what was going on, I just layed there taking it all in. I'm not sure if it was pleasant though, I really can't remember. Once I came back I realized I had been gone, and I was just thinking and saying what the hell, oh my god. After I came down I had a huge ego backlash. I sat around for a few hours just being mindful as waves of bad feelings went through my body. Then I went and watched random videos on youtube for 2 hours. Then I was like, nah bro, let's go back and have a mindful ego backlash, and I did that for a few hours then went to bed. I expected to wake up this morning still having an ego backlash, as this has happened before, but for some weird reason I feel normal this morning. I did yoga with little resistance, I don't feel drawn to unconscious stuff. I don't feel super motivated either though. I feel really drained of vigor, like I just ran a marathon yesterday and I need to chill out. I might do this again before summer is over since I won't have an opportunity during the school year. I should also mention that I've had nightmares about a traumatic event the past two or three nights, I think it was brought up by shamanic breathing on friday, and I bet tripping had a similar effect. I think I feel a little better about it. I usually have nightmares about it every few weeks, which is much better than the multiple times a week it used to be.

I'd love to hear more! -
Leo has a trend of hitting the same topic from different angles, which can be helpful. For example his explanation of god videos were similar to a bunch of videos that explain conceptually the realizations you can attain. He also has a bunch of videos similar to the self-bias one, as he mentioned. It seems like there are so many more 'practical' topics he could cover, and when I listen to these videos I don't find them helpful. What do you guys think?
