  1. Just gotta brag that I met him at a workshop. I love the guy, x100 in person. Great pioneer. Yea, his other books are on a variety of topics. He is a bit aware of Ken Wilber and spiral dynamics, certainly of Stan Grof, and many others. He writes on a variety of things, but one book calleed Lifecycles is just on reincarnation.
  2. I found it easy to get a cheap high quality vegan D3 I've heard those studies were corrupt and recent research has revealed no difference in b12 defeiciencies between vegans and omnivores but I have not fact checked this. Thanks for sharing! this was helpful. I certainly need to look into vitamin A, k2, iodine.
  3. Yea defenitely the wrong mindset, but should we not let blue kids pray in public schools?
  4. I've started eating mangoes with the peel. I googled it and it's edible, and has nutrients, just like an apple or potato skin. I got some looks for doing it today, but damn it was a good mango. Yea, it is hard to find good ones. That's -part of- why I'm heading to the tropics for a gap year after high school. If you want a good meal, may I recommend coconuts, there's a reason they made a cameo in my profile. A few of them will get you to two thousand calories. Just crack it open and eat the meat, with the skin on. It has B vitamins and minerals. More on this in my latest: I've really taken to coconuts lately.
  5. Same for me, however I find that mango's, oranges, and many other fruits that aren't so dehydrating and are juicier don't have that effect. Especially if I eat lots of vegetables
  6. Yup. Within a few decades would be nice
  7. I am thinking about going vegan, and am for sure cutting out all animal products where the animals weren't raised great, so I will be eating less animal products at the least. I know that some vegans can be stupid about it and end up with deficiencies in things like DHA and B12. I have also heard some criticisms that vegans can't avoid some kind of deficiencies. Where can I find more information? Does veganism always lead to some deficiencies or can it be done right?
  8. I met him! Very cool guy. Chris Bache said that for a while he was just waiting to die. He wasn't permanently awakened, and he seemed to think he wasn't going to ever attain it without the psychedelic state.
  9. For some background. I am 18, a senior in high school, and plan on going to college after probably taking a gap year. I will make another post in the future about whether or not I should take a gap year, but for now, I am thinking I will use one to learn permaculture in a permaculture village(which is a small bet for a possible LP), and to go on meditation retreats. I found one program that runs a year, and looks really great. I would learn so much and definitely come out with an answer or at least new direction. It would cost about 8 to 10 thousand total for travel, extra expenses, and a fee for a $6.3k for a year rent for a room there, food, and to fund the permaculture experts who teach. This seems like a pretty good deal to me. This place: https://ranchomastatal.com/ I have around 4k saved up, but I would rather make around $10k in the next 6 to 10 months so I don't lose any money. I could obviously make this working a few months to half a year in a full time minimum wage job. I signed up for the Doordash app so I can start, my schedule does not allow for a work schedule, I don't have the time with school. I don't want to do this, I don't think it will add any real value. It would be cool if I could learn to make money online, I don't need to be rich, just to make 10k. This may be a better way. How would you go about making this money? What should I research?
  10. @Meetjoeblack Not sure, might study psychology but I am heavily doubting I will, if I decide to go to college. I do plan on traveling very minimalistically, on the other hand, my intention wasn't to travel but to go to some place for an extended period of time. Minnimalism won't save me money here I dont think.
  11. @Pharion Thanks! @DrewNows will check out that video
  12. I guess that might be a better option But I haven't found one that meets my needs for wanting to really learn permaculture yet.
  13. @TheSomeBody Either way
  14. Read the research paper in the recent thread in this forum section on living food by pluto, the one on B12. It should address that well. Very complicated issue. @DrewNows well said Seriously he is literally insane. john rose seems to address this idea very well
  15. @Scholar I am reading Healing with whole foods which addresses all that stuff! Very cool!
  16. !!!! What I was just thinking in my last post.
  17. Fuck this is so frustrating, I just wish I had the answer. I suppose I will have to research a lot, and most importantly experiment. Raw veganism sounds convincing to me, but it's not like I deeply understand it or have lots of direct experience yet. It's interesting that even on actualized.org there is nowhere near a clear agreement, some of us are just finding different conclusions. One thing I do have in my direct experience is that when I eat animal products I feel gross, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Before I finally decided to try veganism, I had spent years eating mindfully, and gradually becoming disgusted with how meat & animal products make me feel, and how it tastes. Over the past few months it was so gross, I would just choke it down. When I eat fruit, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and that kind of thing, I enjoy it so much and am filled with gratitude and love, not disgust. I eat a pretty high fat diet, lots of avocados, nuts, seeds, coconut, etc. But overall a lot of every macro nutrient. I feel good with this. I have heard arguments that the macronutrient ratios don't really matter, if you do it right. 80 10 10 can be good but so can 60 20 20 or high fat. Lastly, I notice that I enjoy raw foods more. I eat almost all raw during the day, and cooked food with dinner. This gives me a good contrast. Cooked food just makes me tired and feels harder to digest. I just had a smoothie with soaked peeled raw almonds, coconut, oranges, spinach, banana. I feel great and not tired. I also like hemp protein powder lol.
  18. @pluto Thanks for sharing! I have watched most of Kevin from raw healing mastery's videos, but don't know much else. I recently switched to about 98% vegan, and will soon be fully. My energy levels are well above what they used to be. I notice if I have something like chips fried in oil with guac, or plantains fried in oil, my energy levels plumet to food coma levels, which is cool because I now realize I have very stable energy. So do you not take any supplements? I currently take methyl B12, algae oil, D3, magnesium citrate and zinc gluconate. Edit: Very interesting B12 article. read it all. What book do you reccomend I start with? One of those people you mentioned?
  19. @Shiva That, plus permaculture in either case is way better. The environmental impact of any plant could be bad if it isn't from a sustainable technique. Monoculture is gross.
  20. That depends. @Leo Gura What kind of animal products do you eat? For example, I spent some time just eating animal products that I knew were raised with love, that is, I visited the farms to ensure the cows and chickens were living the life. Do you do something like that? or will you eat an animal product that may have been part of the really naughty animal industry of our society?
  21. Not that I like this guy or his attitude, but he does a good job against the two we mentioned:
