  1. I've watched the Consciousness video, but I still can't wrap my head around it. Guess I'm stuck in the naive realism paradigm Please help me understand this!
  2. @pluto oh yee im clean from sugar and i know the feeling
  3. Would you eat the same food if it had no taste and gave you no pleasure whatsoever? Use food as fuel! Not as a maximizer of pleasure in your mouth.
  4. @ajasatya ok bro but u know what i meant
  5. @Leo Gura and isn't this just a paradigm too? (reply to 'look around your room')
  6. @Outer @Leo Gura So consciousness is just a synonym for god?
  7. @Leo Gura So consciousness is just a synonyms for 'apeiron' or 'god' or 'substance'? what about the consciousness that's synonymous to awareness?
  8. @Nahm I just don't see how consciousness exists when you take the brain out of the scheme (argument - deep sleep= no consciousness)
  9. So, let's question the belief of gravity. Why is it true? Because here, every time in my direct experience it happens *throws a book up that falls*. It's not circular, it relates to direct experience. So? The only problem is the problem of induction, of course.
  10. @Leo Gura could you elaborate on the transactional mode?
  11. The more I meditate, the more lucid i become. The present is much more vivid. But the past used to be the present, so recently ago! What the fuck??
  12. Make this your morning mantra. You'll naturally start to gravitate towards making your days align with it.
  13. I'm already learning an instrument and two languages. I'm not satisfied, though, I'd like some more useful skills to hone while I got more free time. Any ideas?
  14. How to actually invoke feelings of it? I do the exercises, but it just makes me content, i don't really 'feel' grateful. I'm just like 'yeah its awesome living' or just feel content. but not gratitude.
  15. I'm a bit lost here. I've got Leo and his amazing content, but the development is not consistent. Is there a personal development plan, strategy or some sort that i could implement to make it more like a project and less like dabbling?
  16. Leo, how does your usual day look like? I know you dislike routines, but gimme a general overview.
  17. I am seeing a therapist to work out my childhood issues. Any ideas how I can work with him the best? The conversation and level of insight is shit if I come unprepared,it seems to me.
  18. I have a lot of free time but no purpose so I'm doing a bit of hit-and-miss actualization. Can't figure it out yet. Apart from Leo's videos and the usual stuff, what's something I can do right now when I have a lot of free time to gain an edge later, when I have a vision, a purpose, so not so much time to do lesser (grinding) work? I want to say that now I have more time but it's less quality than later in my life (i hope) because then I'll have a stronger direction. Now it's vague. I can't do personal development theory all the time (leo and books), it's just not effective. So something more in terms of skills, or i don't know what that I can work on to give me an ease for later? Bad example : everybody actualizing needs to learn esperanto. so ill do it now and not when im 30 and i have to worry about financial independence. Now I have a shit fucking ton of free time. No need to worry about anything, school is easy. Want to use it the best! Don't know what needs to be done though.
  19. @Staples @Lorcandunno how to untag on phone @Lorcan thank you for the ideas! i do meditate daily. @Staples you're right... i just feel im not ready/mature enough. so i resort to grinding to leave something behind for the future self. plus, there must be something that is gonna be useful no matter my LP no and that's what you all guys said. thank you staples! ps more about fixing my shit psychology atm. that, for example, is a prerequisite for anybody actualizing don't even feel i can embark on purpose search before i have that in check
  20. @Viking watched this alrdy ye i understand you but the most fun is when i got a thing im working as a main thing too! i do tend to be to anal though haha! @carlowillo doing muay thai already. need to move more tho lol! thank you.
  21. @Monkey-man @YaNanNallari @YaNanNallari @Ether @molosku @Staples @Outer @heisenburger @aurum Self-help, meditation and rreading isn't something i can 'grind'. it isn't a skill. sure i can go and plow through books but its more of a pleasure than grinding and its something im doing daily anyways. What I'm talking about is a skill or some sort of education/knowledge which I can gift to my future self. Now that I have a looot of free time. Think of it like this - 20 years ago, you will wish you have started now - just that 20 years ago is today lol. That or just literally something that needs brain power (art fundamentals, thank you, i dont want that though) that my future self is gonna say 'god im so grateful i learned that when i was a teen'. When I find a LP ill start being more living-oriented. so my time now is less worth than it will be then. so i can afford to spend time doing lesser grinding work to get a skill that benefits me later! gimme ideas! I got this time now which i can literally convert into something tangible for my future self. If you could just literally convert your past time and get something right now when you're older what would that be? Thank you for all your replies. Good ideas, but its not the grind im talking about. I should implement those things anyways.
  22. I'm talking about a skill or something that I can do now in my teen years when I have free time, that I will greatly benefit from throughout my life or later. I've grinded enough piano practice to be as good as I want to be, what's my next go-to useful activity? I really like the concept of grind. For example, you need time and effort to learn an instrument, but when you do, its amazing, now you know to do this thing which you'll benefit from your entire life. But it was necessary to 'grind' till u learned. Now I have the time. Later i probably won't so much. What to invest it into? I grinded languages too, though its a bit od a hit or miss because idk where will my future bring me, i can always grind them on the go, when i know where im going, its not that time consuming.
