  1. Chapter 2 God not only gives you spiritual fulfillment but also a beautiful tranquil existence to an entire ecosystem. He will create peace and a structure. He will create a place of such beauty that the world will watch in awe and marvel at this skill. God puts his skills to the test, infuses his love, prepares his recipe and creates a magical destiny for you and the world that is only possible through his goodness. God works in the kitchen, not on the battlefield. You need daily spiritual love, guidance, care, hope, attention, intelligence, goodness, nurturing and building. All you need in return is hope, trust, patience and faith.. Only spiritual guidance but no predictions. Predictions are bull. We are just statues of wax without a shape. He is the sculptor the one who molds it into a beautiful spectacle.
  2. Chapter 1 Nothing is really right or wrong in this world except that which is generally obvious. A lot depends on the case. We might say why do we need this and why do we need that. But we have to understand that everything is for a reason. But there is something called as creative purpose. Every one out there is sustaining for a "creative purpose" without which nothing will make sense. Guidance shapes the lifeless shapeless distorted clay mass into a fine structure and imbues it with meaning, substance and purpose. But it is also true that much that exists in the world looks practically meaningless. A lot are just dumb, floating around meaninglessly trying to do what others do. But how can it all be strewn together to form a coherent matrix. That can only happen with the highest intelligence being sown into it. Everything is case by case. In most cases a thing would be wrong. In some cases the thing that happened served a purpose. You might think what is the purpose of a crime. In most cases crimes are just meaningless and pointless. But crime makes us more aware of how important it is to be together, to not take life for granted, to be careful of human nature, to understand vices, to know that we need a moral structure to survive. Thus these are like pointers that guide us in living and shaping life and the structure of existence. So everything in the world is case by case. Man can't play God. He can't be the judge. But it does not mean that man should be a passive spectator devoid of all intelligence and action. A man should try his best to create a wonderful environment and a beautiful system where all are living in peace and prosperity and everything is perfectly coherent. So a man should use his brains and put it to good use and avoid that is foolish and meaningless and worship intelligence and grow and prosper and create good. It means worshipping the Ipos, the forneus and the element of air and shunning the raum and the kobal. A man should worship nature because he is a part of it. It means realizing what is good, worshipping good and creating the good. Anthing that is foolish and corrupt, anything that is sinful or vice-like should be avoided. Anthing that leads to a good outcome and to peace and equilibrium should be adopted and anything that leads to disruption and foolishness should be avoided. But sometimes something appears pointless and also worthless and vain yet it turns into something immensely beautiful. That is the hand of God or the God soul in a human being. Any human being that thinks like God is closer to God. Because he also possesses the same qualities of benevolence, love, wisdom, courage and good intentions. God will put sense where there is none. God will create purpose where there is waste. God's wisdom is like intuition. It never goes wrong. It's very instinctive and serves you right. It might be against your desires, thoughts, attitudes and wants. But don't be arrogant. Don't reject his wisdom and apply your own. You are not God. Your arrogance will lead to disaster despite your persistence that you are right. Let God do his job. Don't be an arrogant fool. It's all about fate and how God's hand changes it to create something spectacular. God may not be the creator or maker but he is the sculpture. Give him anything and he molds it into the best thing. He creates good out of bad, makes the ugly beautiful, makes the weak strong, nurtures that which is lacking and builds that which is barren. He can build a city far better than man can. He is the master artist. The master healer. The master problem solver. The sooth sayer. The fixer. You got a problem. He will fix it in a way no man can. He is not a miracle worker. You are mistaken. He is not a magician or a vending machine to give you what you want because it wouldn't make any sense because then nobody will look unique, rather like factory products in an assembly line, an army of people just similar to each other. God is the great artist. He ain't doing that. He is here to create something marvelous. And that can mean enduring your circumstances, accepting your inadequacies and not being happy with what you got. You want it to be changed. But that's not how destiny works. It has its own way. This life is an eternal struggle between God and destiny. Between randomness, chaos and equilibrium. Every object on this planet is a case for God to work on. He is the artist. He molds it into infusing his wisdom and beauty into it and makes it perfect, not perfect for the human mind, but perfect in the ultimate scheme of things. God knows what is exactly right for you. His guidance and path won't fail you. Maybe his path is not what the world considers ideal. But that is his path nevertheless. His path is a promise of spiritual fulfillment. His path is a step towards cosmic beauty. He won't fail you. You only need ears to hear him. He only needs your call. God can move mountains for you. He can show you what the world can't.. He can save you, make you purposeful, fill you with passion and work through you to create good. God is a force that can move mountains. God is a force that can change destiny. You might have resigned yourself to fate but God hasnt given up on you.. When you are with God he loves you, cares for you, gives you the best outcome, strengthens you so you can handle, prepares you and creates the best out of you. God can create the best man out of the worst. God can create the best situation out of the worst. God can create the best life out of the most miserable. That which was ugly was made beautiful. Out of the ashes came the Phoenix. So what does he need from you he needs your obedience and trust. Your faith and your need to be with him, to heed him and follow him. Nothing is permanent. We are constantly trying to control reality. Yet reality controls so much of us. We might think that controlling reality is a bad idea, that we should let go, but much of the good things in the world are because of man's effort to control the structure. Taking the help of supernatural forces to guide life is not bad at all. It is very good and very resourceful. Often we think that we are only to rely on the world. But no. There's is a treasure house of wisdom within our own brains that we haven't explored enough. We think that life can be guided by just a few lessons and a few proverbs define life. No. Life is a careful path that needs to be tread with great wisdom and understanding. We need daily wisdom. We need daily love, strength, care and support and guidance. Our existence is the most difficult out of all things in the world. It's not easy to survive and make the crossover from life to the afterlife. Just imagine how much pain your mother went through in raising you as a child, yet we take all of life so much for granted. And survival is just one part of the matrix, although a huge one. There are other things like peace happiness, health, life purpose and real living not just surviving. Living to your fullest mental and physical potential. All those things are also to be taken care of. In fact we need supernatural guidance every minute of the day. It comes to us through our own senses and intuition.. Honing this is important. When you learn the craft of listening to God and following God that's when you learn the art of living a true meaningful beautiful life, that's when you create equilibrium and a beautiful existence for all beings. That's when the chaos will cease. entities of swan heptinity. 1. Fire + Water + Earth + Air = Universe. Represented by a jar of crystals. 2. God consciousness /sol = fire + spirit + water + storge + salubris +sophos[curative] + air + Solis + karma. Represented by a wand Salubris is a kind of Goodness, wholesomeness, creativity which is creative and beneficial for growth. It will only create good, even out of the bad. A component of water and earth. This is found abundantly in God and God's creations but found in man very rarely and in less proportions. It is a wonderful skill, a skill of the sculptor. It is a quality of being constructive rather than destructive. It creates and sustains it and takes it to wholesome progress and sustainance. Solis is guidance Sophos is intelligence that solves problems and brings equilibrium. A part of air. Storge is love. Karma is also related to the quality of justice. As you sow, you reap. You get the justice you deserve. God gives you exactly what you deserve after your actions. He does justice to you when he is invoked. 3. Raum/Malphas / Dark Raven= Fire + Spirit + Air{skill+knowledge but not wisdom} + Dark forces[diabolos] . Represented by a raven. 4..Kobal /joker = Spirit + Fire + Water + stultum. Represented by a donkey. 5. Ipos /swan or stork = water + air + spirit. Represented by a swan. 6. Forneus/Snake = Fire + Spirit + Water + Air + defendo. Represented by a wolf or a snake 7. Last element is human or user/object /observer. Each of these form the standing rocks of the heptinity Stonehenge.

Last element is human or user/object /observer. Each of these form the standing rocks of the heptinity Stonehenge. All supernatural events and experiences are merely a glimpse of the spiritual world or spi dimension. It means there is something beyond physical reality. It's not magical but it's rational. That dimension is nothing to be scared of but you are already a part of it. When you are all alone the only way to feel mentally spiritually and emotionally fulfilled is to resign your life in the devotion of God. You devote your whole life to God. You have this wonderful personal relationship with God that helps you to escape the madness of the world Receive God's love in your life. Be open to it. God's love will fulfill you spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. And this should be the ultimate purpose because that's exactly what God wants for you. God wants you to be spiritually fulfilled despite all the challenges, despair, and limitations of a physical life, of a physical reality. He wants your soul to cross the bridge to come over to the other side after death and be in peace. He does not want your soul to be stuck in restlessness on your side of the bridge. He wants you to make that crossover and stay in peace. You can go to the other side only by following God's direction and guidance, being in his light, surrounded by his love, only that way you come closer to that peace. Be in Communion with God.
  4. Air represents knowledge, skill and wisdom. Water represents goodness, Positivity, love, kindness, passive nature, submission and consciousness. Earth represents physical world Spirit represents bridge between spiritual and physical. Fire represents passion, creation, energy, diabolical, protective, intense, spirit form, electricity, motivation, drive, powerful force that converts spiritual into physical. The God element is the controller of destinies because this element like the Athame can be used for both good and bad. But when used it works. It also works on its own depending on how it is used by all sentient beings. Hence it is always in operation causing different events to take place in a pattern determined by the consciousness of the world and the universe. However there is an important difference. The God consciousness is a composite element or entity consisting of all other elements or entities like the ipos, fire, water, spirit, air, forneus, God,. It takes everything. Hence when this deity or entity is worshipped all good or favorable things are conjured. This is the superlative form of God. God is just neutral however the God consciousness component will not only depend upon the universal laws and the different forces in the universe but also the individual who conjures or invokes this component. Hence its not like God but rather a concept. If it was God it would have been the ultimate controller of everything and it would mean our own character and consciousness would have no impact on this component and evrything would happen as set by destiny or by the code written by this component. But in reality the human is a user, an observer and an object. It affects and gets affected. It impacts and gets impacted. Therefore the user has an equal contribution to the outcome of an event or situation. Hence the God consciousness component cannot be some independent individual entity. It is a composite. Then what do we do to invoke good. Have good intentions and pray to God with good intentions. This way you are not only connecting to a higher force but also giving your own contribution to it thus influencing the outcome. The only way to connect to God consciousness is through God but by fully engaging oneself in the pursuit of good. This is the way or path of the light. In the process of invoking you are invoking both the power and the goodness within you thus increasing your own chances to align with the God conciousness, this makes perfect sense because otherwise if the devil prayed to God he too would be aligned with the God consciousness. But he can't, because he doesn't have the goodness in him to accompany the power he wants. Thus he will fail and he will only use the power of God for destructive reasons and end up destroying himself in the process. Like the knife. If a good man gets a knife, he might use it to save someone's life by attacking the enemy whereas if the devil receives a knife he will use it for destruction of others, unleashing a destructive energy within him that will not only consume others but also himself at the same time. He will at some point end up cutting himself. It's like a lit candle he is trying to play with or a bottle of poison he uses to poison others. Since he uses it so often to destroy others, his foolish excitememt may cause his own clothes to catch fire or the poison being accidentally added to his own food. A man who uses anger to control people also causes harm to himself. If a good man used anger to get justice, the harm he caused to himself is justified because he got justice in return for the sacrifice. Thus it makes perfect sense for God to be a neutral entity. A man who is trying to deceive others ends up deceiving himself. A good example of this is the case of Jim Jones who thought he was controlling others but the greed to set up a manipulative scheme backfired and he not only destroyed lives but also himself. A conspiring scheming manipulative evil doer is in the constant process of turmoil because of his selfishness and evil motivation and this intense uncontrolled dark energy causes tremendous chaos leading to his own ruin. How the neutral entity is conjured depends upon the doer or user. Thus power is available. But how power is used depends on the intentions of the user. It's a wonderful principle of the universe and it means that our intentions influence the outcome. It's like "we get what we deserve". We get what we ask. If we are good, we will create good and we will deserve good. When our intentions are bad, even the outcome is bad, but it's not a surprise because bad intentions rightfully deserve a bad outcome. When we take the help of God or the powerful spirit, we can either choose to align with the God consciousness or the Raum consciousness. If there was a specific entity assigned to God consciousness then the God would have become more important than the nature of God thus it would lose its purpose and meaning. It would just turn into another powerful God and we would be the unquestioning blind followers of an idol with no contribution from our conscience other than blind worship.(We would be like sheep. This is the reason why Jesus hated idolatry because there lies no personal contributions only offerings.) And anyone who worshipped regardless of their sinful nature would receive a blessing. This would make God a powerless useless puppet incapable of discernment like a vending machine. So it's not that way. God is a force, it can be used for the good or bad. In its use lies the nature of the outcome. Thus nothing is unconditional. Everything is based on a reason. It perfectly rhymes with the principle of karma. As you sow so shall you reap. This is how it works with God. It is rightfully said in Wiccan that we are not worshipping God but becoming God. Because in our process to get something good for ourselves we become better human beings. Thus prayer does not become an idle activity of just wanting and desiring but an active form of connection to the higher power hand in hand with self development. Its very similar to the rule of three . You have to be careful about what energy you put into the world. In the same way you have to be careful about what you wish for. Occult rule of three. Rule of Three (Wicca) The Rule of Three (also Three-fold Law or Law of Return) is a religious tenet held by some Wiccans/Pagans and occultists. It states that whatever energy a person puts out into the world, be it positive or negative, will be returned to that person three times. But for the sake of simplicity the entity of God consciousness needs to be named because there is something in the universe that also guides us and so we are not alone. It's not just about goodness. What about a spirit guide. What about walking in light or walking on the true path towards spiritual fulfillment. That part is missing entirely. The Forneus protects, the ipos inspires to stay calm, peaceful innocent and genuine air is wisdom, spirit is the bridge, fire is about motivation and will power, earth is about ground reality, water is about goodness then the factor of guidance. Let's say air is about wisdom and knowledge and guidance. But then God consciousness already consists of air. Then it contains the element of wisdom and also guidance. It also contains our contribution which means it contains a part of karma too. Then it's definition needs to be widened. Now God consciousness will be renamed as sol. Sol stands for light or sun. Indirectly it means the right path towards spiritual fulfillment and development of all. The path of light that prevents you from falling into darkness. The path of guidance. This does not mean that everything gets resolved automatically on the basis of the guidance. All it means is that the guidance is again like a weapon. The one with the good heart or good intentions will use this guidance for good purposes. The one with the bad heart or bad intentions will use the guidance for harming others or feeling powerful or not use it at all and dismiss God's wisdom. composition also changes. God consciousness /sol = fire + spirit + water + air + Solis + karma. Sol or God consciousness to be Represented by the sun. Karma component means the intent or intention of the user or worshipper or conjurer. If the intent is good, it's good karma, the outcome is good, if the intent is bad, bad karma and the outcome is bad. Solis refers to the that component of the element air that corresponds to guidance. Karma. This component belongs to earth. Earth is the element of truth. It shows what is true, what is real, what is fact. It's immutable, unchangeable and it's like a mirror, shows what is there. Everything gets manifested on earth or in physical reality. Nothing exists without its spiritual equivalent. Therefore it shows or reflects your karma back to you. Revised heptinity 1. Fire + Spirit = God (wand plus Athame or knife) 2. Fire + Water + Earth + Air = Universe 3.God consciousness /sol = fire + spirit + water + storge +sofos + air + Solis + karma. Storge is a component of love a part of the element water. Solis is guidance or the path. Sofos is intelligence, a part of the air element. 4. Raum/Malphas / Dark Raven= Fire + Spirit + Air{skill+knowledge but not wisdom} + Dark forces[diabolos] . 5..Kobal /joker = Spirit + Fire + Water + stultum. 6. Ipos /swan or stork = water + air + spirit 7. Forneus/Snake = Fire + Spirit + Water + Air + defendo. Last element is human or user/object /observer. One entity or element has been removed. Revised heptinity 1. Fire + Water + Earth + Air = Universe 3.God /God consciousness /sol = fire + spirit + water + air + Solis + karma. Represented by sun. The entity of God and God consciousness has been fused into one. 3. Raum/Malphas / Dark Raven= Fire + Spirit + Air{skill+knowledge but not wisdom} + Dark forces[diabolos] . 4..Kobal /joker = Spirit + Fire + Water + stultum. 5. Ipos /swan or stork = water + air + spirit 6. Forneus/Snake = Fire + Spirit + Water + Air + defendo. 7. Last element is human or user/object /observer.
  5. The fire element is closest to God in the "nature" element. And water is closest to "Godliness." Heat ~ frequency or friction Fuel ~ Content Oxygen ~ emotion [LOL I forgot about Shabti dolls.] The fire element is close to the universal force or energy. The water element is close to the universal law. Therefore with the water element there is more harmony and peace. With the fire element there is more passion and creativity. Air is the perfect element. It's the element of balance between water and fire. When you put water on fire there is smoke. Earth is the element of physical reality and being grounded. Spirit represents the element of balance between earth and air. Fire + Spirit + Solis = God (wand plus Athame or knife) Solis means guidance or light. Fire + Water + Earth + Air = Universe Fire + Spirit + water + Air = God consciousness Air is the element of wisdom and knowledge. This is the trinity. God, Universe, God consciousness God is neither good or bad. God element is neutral. It's a force in the spirit. It might as well be evil if there's too much fire combined with bad intentions. (do not mess with the gods ) God consciousness merges with earth and you get the universe. The universe is born. But there's Godliness in it God is not the creator or the ruler. There has to be an entity or a dark or destructive force that is also present in the universe which is against intelligent design and represents lack of wisdom or foolishness and chaos and also another one which is intentionally destructive. Some more elements All the destructive entities or elements emerge from the deepest parts of fire. They can be called variously [depending on occult demons and demonology] Malphas, Raum, Nybbas, Nickar, Dybbuk, Hiisi, etc. All represent negative entities coming from the fire element. These are entities. These are like demonic forces. Most represented by a raven or a crow with wings. Others that represent foolishness are not evil but cause all sorts of madness, chaos because of lack of wisdom and foolishness are called Kobal. Represented by a joker or a donkey. Wiccary and Demonology. Also present in the fire are strong entities that possess equal strength and motivation as the demonic ones but they are protective. These are monsters, look like serpents, they dip themselves into the water element. They are like the wolf. Represented by wolf or snake or sea monster. They are the Halphas, Forneus, Bune. Like a serpentine sea monsters. Similar to the characteristic of the wolf And lastly there are beautiful bird shaped or swan shaped white feathery angelic passive deities of the water, deeper parts of it that are not indicative of power but grace and calmness, loving, tender, fragile, weak but elegant and peaceful, non disturbing and submissive. These are called Ipos. Glossary of demons from demonology. Composition of destructive elements. Raum/Malphas / Dark Raven= Fire + Spirit + Air{skill+knowledge but not wisdom} + Dark forces[diabolos] The destructive component of air which represents opposite of wisdom that is foolishness is stultum. [from Latin foolishness] Kobal /joker = Spirit + Fire + Water + stultum. It has the water element because it's passive, it does not really intend to cause harm but ends up causing chaos. Ipos /swan or stork = water + air + spirit Forneus/Snake = Fire +spirit + water + Air + protego/defendo. Here the element of fire is split in half, one is destructive and the other is protective. This is very well represented by the Athame a double edged knife. it's high energy motivational powers are represented by the wand. The destructive component of fire is diabolos or diabolus. The protective defensive component of this element is defendo or protego. The universe is made up of both components good and bad and foolish. It's not all intelligent design. This means there is universal law but no ruler or creator. Nobody who exerts power and creates goodness and destroys the evil and drives away fools. That explains why there is chaos and blunder and why good does not always win. Good and bad are like antidotes and they are in a constant process of struggle overlapping and impacting each other. Sometimes the good rises and creates something good and resolves chaos and brings peace and love and sometimes the bad takes over and ruins all the good created. These forces are in a constant Flux and constantly operating in their own independent ways throughout the universe. You see elements of wisdom, intelligence and goodness in some creations whereas some things in the universe don't make any sense. Some things also represent violence and cruelty and everything seems to be happening on its own accord not guided or controlled by an intelligent force. That's what it is. But the universal law of cause and effect remains the same. Good leads to good and bad leads to bad. Surrounded by the legion of angels. The swan Wiccan Heptinity. Glossary of composition of different entities 1. Fire + Spirit + Solis = God (wand plus Athame or knife) 2. Fire + Water + Earth + Air = Universe 3. Fire + Spirit + water + Air + Solis + karma. = God consciousness 4. Raum/Malphas / Dark Raven= Fire + Spirit + Air{skill+knowledge but not wisdom} + Dark forces[diabolos] . 5..Kobal /joker = Spirit + Fire + Water + stultum. 6. Ipos /swan or stork = water + air + spirit 7. Forneus/Snake = Fire + Spirit + Water + Air + defendo. The last element or component of heptinity is a human or the conjured, also called the user, the object or the observer. But this element is not relevant to the heptinity. Just a role of humans in it. Heptinity
  6. My faith gets renewed every day. It feels wonderful. The physical realm is limited and full of doubts and concerns. But this realm is liberating, a true definition of peace. ?.fecundity123 Finally it's like heaven is here. As above so below. Remove all dissonance and live in the spiritual world. Now I understand why people do drugs, because they want to escape and feel the spiritual. They are tired of the physical and its limitations. But in the spirit, it's bliss and peace. They want to escape and forget all the mess. This world is like a school that kids don't want to go to cuz they are too tired with all its weirdness and harsh truths. Now they wanna have some fun and escape this matrix. They are tired of the expectations and the demands and the judgment. They are tired of a world of false promises and betrayals. They are tired of working so hard that they lose themselves. And the happiness if any is so transient that it wasn't worth all the trouble. This is harmful because you want the cake and can't have it and finally when you do it tastes weird or the feeling doesn't last too long. It keeps you in a perpetual state of restlessness of either wanting more, or regretting what you got for yourself with extreme effort. In the end the boredom is terrible and the happiness has fled and it feels like "much ado about nothing" and all the pain and effort that went into creating the happiness wasn't worth it. So a lot of people seek comfort in spirituality which is stable and permanent and doesn't mess with your emotions and gives you a steady form of happiness devoid of all the physical limitations and imperfections. The question of boredom doesn't arise because the feeling is semi permanent and keeps you grounded. Physical happiness is like hunger you are going to get hungry again. Spiritual happiness is like a state of calm like a piano music lasting for hours and leaves you feeling relieved and peaceful. Spiritual happiness is like a wonderful dream. When you are on a spiritual plane, there are angels to guide you and you are lifted above the physical state and the physical state becomes less and less important. And it's like an escape from the physical world. It's an antidote to the physical world. And it's a healthy escape. There is nobody to destroy the happiness in the spiritual world. The need for love. This need is very painful. But spirituality fulfills it and keeps you grounded. It makes you feel full. Functions or benefits of spirituality :- 1. Escape from the physical world or distress 2. An antidote to the physical world 3. Peace and lasting fulfillment 4. Spiritual fulfillment. The soul or spirit has been pacified and fulfilled and no longer restless after death . Walk in the path of light. Not falling through the cracks. 5. Bridge between physical and spiritual 6. Breakdown of social and world illusions. Helps with attaining mental maturity. 7. Narrows down the focus to vital necessities of life. 6. Assistance to survival in the physical world through manifestation of desires and needs.. 7. Satisfies the hunger for love. 8. Powerful antidote to self esteem issues. 9. Source of Permanent long lasting happiness Follow God, worship and begin your deep friendship with him because he doesn't want you to fall through the cracks. He is your savior. And even if the physical realm failed you, God will keep you content spiritually. Thus you will face the consequences of physical limitations but you will die and it will be over however your spirit will continue to rest peacefully. If you do not follow the light and path shown by God, then your soul or spirit will continue to remain dissatisfied even when the physical suffering is over. That's why you need to walk in light.
  7. God is this massive force in the universe. God is a part of the universe. He is the universe itself. God is the truth of truths. God is love and mercy. God is not the creator of the universe. But God is the controller of destinies. He is the grinder, healer, he is the bearer, the giver, the saviour, the supporter, the helper and the liberator. Like the electromagnetic field is present around objects so also there is a different kind of an extra sensory field of perception present around all objects. This is called extra sensory because the normal senses cannot detect it. But acute senses like those in animals are more efficient in detecting it. It's like an energy field. It's a receiver of our impulses. It's hard to know what connection it might have to morality and behavior. It does seem to have some connection with events, consciousness, maybe our consciousness affects this field. Maybe certain types of consciousness have a greater impact on the field whereas others tend to diminish its effect or even make it destructive. It does not seem to be judgemental but it maybe influenced by the nature of the call.how we invoke or all call upon it. So we invoke it for destructive powers, it's like playing with fire in order to destroy others and ending up getting burned.it obeys the nature of consciousness. It's powerful but not commanding. It's like a gun, like a powerful weapon. But the holder or the user decides how this power is used. That's why most events are unfortunate and lead to unwelcome endings because these events were influenced by negative intentions and forces. The Power of intent may seem to have a huge correlation with it. Calling it in a positive way with good intentions leads to it being used for the good. But using it for bad things causes it become malevolent. All these properties are very very similar to fire. Fire is very strong source of energy and fire is very delicate and strong. If handled right, it helps as a strong fuel to warm up and when used to destroy it becomes very malicious and kills. So how you call it and what purpose you use it for shows its role in action. Also fire is an element associated with creation.. But fire is not like water. It's not everywhere only when it's produced. Anything that is highly spirited is described as fiery. The triangle illustrates the three elements a fire needs to ignite: heat, fuel, and an oxidizing agent (usually oxygen). A fire naturally occurs when the elements are present and combined in the right mixture, meaning that fire is actually an event rather than a thing. This whole entry is wrong and will need revision
  8. Christianity is pure fiction. Pure fantasy. No logic at all. All fictional concepts with no root. Like an urban legend that is mysterious and believed to be at least half true. Almost like a first copy of occult. Completely devoid of natural elements. Almost an antithesis to paganism. Paganism at least has some logic to it. Christianity has none. People read that and follow it like sheep as though it's the ultimate principle of truth. Also the whole idea of going to hell for disobedience of the holy path or for turning away is like a hex. You are eternally trapped in this hex. Because if you ever tried to flee, hellfire is waiting. This is like a lifelong torment and a way to keep one attached to the confines of it. If one is a loving God why would he forsake those who do not obey or choose their own path, that would make him more of a tyrant than a loving being. If he is loving and impartial to all, he would consider the interests of all in every way and not just of his parishioners. That would mean hypocrisy and favoritism or prejudice. Well that is not a sign of humility, but a sign of power and need for adulation, suggestive of a tyrant narcissistic and authoritarian figure. This is just blind faith in the doctrine without any room for critique and rebellion. Where there is no freedom there is no love but tyranny and ultimate subjugation. The highest form of abuse is taking away someone's free will and replacing it with a decree. Rebellion would be impossible. Like in every cult, there would be a punishment if not a superficial one than in the form of a code for any deserter or heretic. Thus no one can escape. Absolute submission would be rewarded. This is not benevolence but control and domination. This fear, doubt and suspicion is ridiculous and unnecessary. The whole doctrine of heaven and hell is redundant and even an evil manipulation of the original doctrine itself. To have control and continuing to exert power. This is deviation from the original doctrine and a massive blunder too. Karma works and this has caused massive repercussions leading to sheep moving away in an act of defiance. Because the original teachings on morality are perfect and rational. But a series of blunders were committed by those who were power hungry and continue to be committed almost causing an erosion of an otherwise admirable system of tenets. Only if the original and left over biblical part is removed and replaced only by the main teachings on morality and sermons. This means a major chunk will need to be excised. Seven deadly sins According to the standard list, they are pride, greed, lust, envy gluttony, wrath and sloth, Deception, manipulation, control, domination, slander, drama, abuse, seduction, luring or baiting, cheating, fraud, dishonesty, demonization, conspiracy, brainwashing, narcissism, jealousy, hatred, revenge, grudge, unfaithfulness, psychopathy, division, discord The cross is used as a symbol of God.
  9. Religion and sex Bahá'í faithEdit In the Bahá'í Faith, sexual relationships are permitted only between a husband and wife. Bahá'u'lláh, the founder of the Bahá'í Faith in his book of laws, the Kitáb-i-Aqdas, forbids extramarital sexual intercourse.[3][4] The Baha'i understanding of sex is that chastity should be practised by both sexes before marriage because it is commendable ethically and that it leads to a happy and successful marital life. The Bahá'í Faith recognizes the value of the sex impulse, but that its proper use is within the institution of marriage; Baha'is do not believe in the suppression of the sex impulse but in its regulation and control.[5] New TestamentEdit Paul the Apostle stated in 1 Corinthians that it is good for the unmarried to remain this way, but if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, "To the unmarried and the widows I say that it is well for them to remain unmarried as I am. But if they are not practicing self-control, they should marry. For it is better to marry than to be aflame with passion."[6] Importantly, Paul's view of sex is also that it is actually unnecessary for those with certain gifts[7] (presumably "celibacy"). New Testament scholar N. T. Wright asserts that Paul absolute forbade fornication, irrespective of a new Christian's former cultural practices. Wright notes "If a Corinthian were to say, 'Because I'm a Corinthian, I have always had a string of girl-friends I sleep with, that's part of our culture,' Paul would respond, 'Not now you're a Christian you don't.'... When someone disagreed with Paul's clear rules on immorality or angry disputes, the matters he deals with in Colossians 3.5-10, he is... firm, as we see dramatically in 1 Corinthians 5 and 6. There is no place in the Christian fellowship for such practices and for such a person."[8] Some have suggested that Paul's treatment of sex was influenced by his conviction that the end of the world was imminent. Under this view, Paul, believing that the world would soon end, took it as a corollary that all earthly concerns,[9] including sex, should hold little interest for Christians.[10] Paul's letters show far greater concern with sexual issues than the gospel writers attributed to Jesus, since Paul was building Christian communities over decades and responding to various issues that arose.[citation needed] The theologian Lee Gatiss states that "the word "fornication" has gone out of fashion and is not in common use to describe non-marital sex. However, it is an excellent translation for [the Biblical term] porneia, which basically referred to any kind of sex outside of marriage... This has been contested... but the overwhelming weight of scholarship and all the available evidence from the ancient world points firmly in this direction. "Flee sexual immorality (porneia) and pursue self-control" (cf. 1 Thess 4:1–8) was the straightforward message to Christians in a sex-crazed world."[11] Early ChristianityEdit In early Christianity, reflection on scriptural texts introduced an eschatologicalhermeneutic to the reading of the Book of Genesis. The Garden of Eden was seen as a normative ideal state to which Christians were to strive; writers linked the future enjoyment of Heaven to the original blessedness of Adam and Eve in their reflections.[12] The valuation of virginity in the ancient church brought into relief a tension between the Genesis injunction to "be fruitful and multiply"[13] with its understood contextual implication of marriage as a social institution, and the interpretation of the superiority of virginity over marriage, sexual activity and family formation from the Gospel texts Matt 19:11-12, Matt 19:29. One way patristic thinkers tried to harmonize the texts was through the position that there had actually been no sexual intercourse in Eden: on this reading, sex happened after the fall of manand the expulsion from Eden, thus preserving virginity as the perfect state both in the historical Paradise and the anticipated Heaven. John Chrysostom, Gregory of Nyssa, Justin Martyr, Epiphanius of Salamis, and Irenaeus of Lyons all espoused this view: Gregory of Nyssa, On Virginity, 12 "He did not yet judge of what was lovely by taste or sight; he found in the Lord alone all that was sweet; and he used the helpmeet given him only for this delight, as Scripture signifies when it said that he knew her not till he was driven forth from the garden, and till she, for the sin which she was decoyed into committing, was sentenced to the pangs of childbirth. We, then, who in our first ancestor were thus ejected, are allowed to return to our earliest state of blessedness by the very same stages by which we lost Paradise. What are they? Pleasure, craftily offered, began the Fall, and there followed after pleasure shame, and fear, even to remain longer in the sight of their Creator, so that they hid themselves in leaves and shade; and after that they covered themselves with the skins of dead animals; and then were sent forth into this pestilential and exacting land where, as the compensation for having to die, marriage was instituted".[14] John Chrysostom, On Virginity, 14.3 "When the whole world had been completed and all had been readied for our repose and use, God fashioned man for whom he made the world... Man did need a helper, and she came into being; not even then did marriage seem necessary... Desire for sexual intercourse, conception, labor, childbirth, and every form of corruption had been banished from their souls. As a clear river shooting forth from a pure source, so they were in that place adorned by virginity." 15.2 "Why did marriage not appear before the treachery? Why was there no intercourse in paradise? Why not the pains of childbirth before the curse? Because at that time these things were superfluous".[15] Irenaeus, Against Heresies, Book 3, ch 22:4 "But Eve was disobedient; for she did not obey when as yet she was a virgin. And even as she, having indeed a husband, Adam, but being nevertheless as yet a virgin (for in Paradise they were both naked, and were not ashamed, inasmuch as they, having been created a short time previously, had no understanding of the procreation of children: for it was necessary that they should first come to adult age, and then multiply from that time onward), having become disobedient, was made the cause of death, both to herself and to the entire human race..."[16] Epiphanius of Salamis, Panarion 78.17-19 "And as in paradise Eve, still a virgin, fell into the sin of disobedience, once more through the Virgin [Mary] came the obedience of grace".[17] Justin Martyr, Dialogue with Trypho ch 100 "For Eve, who was a virgin and undefiled, having conceived the word of the serpent, brought forth disobedience and death. But the Virgin Mary received faith and joy, when the angel Gabriel announced the good tidings to her..."[18] Prof. John Noonan suggests that "if one asks... where the Christian Fathers derived their notions on marital intercourse – notions which have no express biblical basis – the answer must be, chiefly from the Stoics".[19]He uses texts from Musonius Rufus, Seneca the Younger, and Ocellus Lucanus, tracing works of Clement of Alexandria, Origen and Jerome to the works of these earlier thinkers,[19] particularly as pertaining to the permissible use of the sexual act, which in the Stoic model must be subdued, dispassionate, and justified by its procreative intent.[20] Augustine of Hippo had a different challenge: to respond to the errors of Manichaeism.[21]The Manichees, according to Augustine, were "opposed to marriage, because they are opposed to procreation which is the purpose of marriage".[21] "The method of contraceptionpracticed by these Manichees whom Augustine knew is the use of the sterile period as determined by Greek medicine",[21] which Augustine condemns (this stands in contrast to the contemporarily permitted Catholic use of Natural family planning). As monastic communities developed, the sexual lives of monks came under scrutiny from two theologians, John Cassian and Caesarius of Arles, who commented on the "vices" of the solitary life. "Their concerns were not with the act of masturbation, but with the monks who vowed chastity. The monks' vow made masturbation an illicit act; the act itself was not considered sinful... In fact... prior to Cassian, masturbation was not considered a sexual offence for anyone." CatholicismEdit Main article: Catholic theology of sexuality See also: Theology of the Body and Religious views on masturbation From the beginning of the thirteenth century, the Catholic Church formally recognized marriage between a freely consenting, baptized man and woman as a sacrament – an outward sign communicating a special gift of God's love. The Council of Florence in 1438 gave this definition, following earlier Church statements in 1208, and declared that sexual union was a special participation in the union of Christ in the Church.[23] However the Puritans, while highly valuing the institution, viewed marriage as a "civil", rather than a "religious" matter, being "under the jurisdiction of the civil courts".[24] This is because they found no biblical precedent for clergy performing marriage ceremonies. Further, marriage was said to be for the "relief of concupiscence"[24] as well as any spiritual purpose. The Catholic moral theologian Charles E. Curran stated "the fathers of the Church are practically silent on the simple question of masturbation".[25] The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches that "the flesh is the hinge of salvation".[26]The Catechism indicates that sexual relationships in marriage is "a way of imitating in the flesh the Creator's generosity and fecundity"[27] and lists fornication as one of the "offenses against chastity",[28] calling it "an intrinsically and gravely disordered action" because "use of the sexual faculty, for whatever reason, outside of marriage is essentially contrary to its purpose".[28][29] The "conjugal act" aims "at a deeply personal unity, a unity that, beyond union in one flesh, leads to forming one heart and soul"[30] since the marriage bond is to be a sign of the love between God and humanity.[31] Pope John Paul II's first major teaching was on the theology of the body, presented in a series of lectures by the same name. Over the course of five years he elucidated a vision of sex that was not only positive and affirming but was about redemption, not condemnation. He taught that by understanding God's plan for physical love we could understand "the meaning of the whole of existence, the meaning of life."[32] He taught that human beings were created by a loving God for a purpose: to be loving persons who freely choose to love, to give themselves as persons who express their self-giving through their bodies. Thus, sexual intercourse between husband and wife is a symbol of their total mutual self-donation.[original research?] For John Paul II, "The body, and it alone, is capable of making visible what is invisible: the spiritual and divine." He says there is no other more perfect image of the unity and communion of God in mutual love than the sexual act of a married couple, whereby they give themselves in a total way – exclusively to one another, and up to end of their lives, and in a fruitfully generous way by participating in the creation of new human beings. Through this perspective, he understands the immorality of extra-marital sex. It falsifies the language of the human body, a language of total love worthy of persons by using the body for selfish ends, thus treating persons as things and objects, rather than dealing with embodied persons with the reverence and love that incarnate spirits deserve. John Paul II stresses that there is great beauty in sexual love when done in harmony with the human values of freely chosen total commitment and self-giving. For him, this sexual love is a form of worship, an experience of the sacred.[33][34] Roman Catholics believe that masturbation is a sin.[35] ProtestantismEdit Main article: Fornication § Mainstream Protestantism Nearly all Protestants assert that any and all sex outside of marriage, including that conducted between committed, engaged or cohabiting couples, is the sin of fornication.[36][37] This rejection of premarital sex includes even the most liberal churches.[38][39][40] Unlike Roman Catholics, Protestants do not disapprove of masturbation due to the lack of a Biblical injunction against the act. Mainstream[41][42][43] and conservative[44]Protestants agree masturbation is not a sin, although there are various restrictions, such as making sure it does not lead to use of pornography or looking lustfully at people or mutual masturbation or addiction to the act. It must also not be undertaken in a spirit of defiance against God.[45] In most Lutheran, Reformed and Unitedchurches of the Evangelical Church in Germany and in the Netherlands and Switzerland view homosexuality as a violation of the 7th commandment. In these Lutheran, United and Reformed churches gay ministers are not permitted in ministry and gay couples are not allowed in their churches. Inside the Lutheran Church of Sweden, the Bishop of Stockholm, Eva Brunne is a lesbian.[46] The Metropolitan Community Church, also known as the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches, has a specific outreach to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender families and communities.[47] In the Anglican church there is a large discussion over the blessing of gay couples and over tolerance of homosexuality. The discussion is more about the aspect of love between two people of the same sex in a relationship than it is about the sexual aspect of a relationship.[48] In some dioceses, Anglican (Episcopal) churches in Canada and the USA permit openly gay priests in ministry and allow same-sex blessings, which has drawn much criticism from other parts of the Anglican Communion. Anglican churches in parts of Africa are extremely conservative in their attitude towards homosexuality. Gay priests in most Anglican churches must be celibate if they wish to continue their work as priests.
  10. Millennials are turned off sex, study suggests, with one in eight still virgins at 26 share A study found that more young people are waiting longer to have sex. File picture Callum Adams 6 MAY 2018 • 1:04 PM Millennials are waiting longer to have sex, with one in eight still virgins at 26 years old, new research has found. The sharp rise in the number of young people waiting longer to have sex may be because of a "fear of intimacy" and the pressure of social media, according to analysts. The Next Steps project, the brainchild of the Department for Education which is now managed by University College London, has tracked 16,000 people born in 1989-90 since they were 14. The interviews, conducted in 2016, discovered a rise in the number of Millenials waiting longer to have sex compared to previous generations, where one in 20 reported still being virgins at around the same age. Susanna Abse, a psychoanalytic psychotherapist at the Balint Consultancy, told the Sunday Times: "Millenials have been brought up in a culture of hypersexuality which has bred a fear of intimacy. The 'fear of exposure' on social media has been suggested as a possible reason why young people are waiting longer to have sex CREDIT: DOMINIC LIPINKSI/PA "The women are always up for it with beautiful hard bodies and the men have permanent erections. That is daunting to young people. "The fear for young men is of being humiliated that they can't live up to that, plus the fear of exposure in your Facebook group." If those who refused to answer the question were also virgins, the figure rises to one in six , according to Steve McKay, professor in social research at Lincoln University. The research also found that as young people get older they are less likely to have sexual partners, with more than 90% of those who had lost their virginity having done so before 19-years-old. The Next Steps project began in 2004 and monitored pupils attending state and independent schools across England. The UCL Institute of Education, part of University College London, took over the study in 2013. Stephen Mason Ph.D. Look At It This Way Why Does God Hate Sex? Feeling Very Good Is Very Bad Posted May 16, 2010 People will ask why I write about sex? Because it's what people want to read. If this column were about Giving Blood At the Orphanage...would you be here? Personally, I've had a great deal of experience in this area. As a result, I suffer none of the frustration and fixation shared by most Americans. Just consider the latest flap-doodle involving half a dozen little girls doing a sexy dance in sexy outfits as part of some sort of competition. The video is shown again and again and the refrain is always the same: Aint it awful...tsk-tsk-tsk. I don't think it's awful. I don't think it's anything but a way of boosting ratings with a sexually immature audience. article continues after advertisement Sex is funny in that you can live without it...but not without paying a mental/physical price. It's a simple pleasure that grows all out of proportion when it's denied. If Mother Nature were allowed to have her way, this would be a far better place. And who's behind all the brouhaha - God? Actually, it's religion. In order to run a successful religion, you need to follow just one rule: Have more members coming in than going out. One way to achieve this is by gaining control of their sex lives. Try to think of a religion that doesn't have anything to say about sex. Get a grip on that one single, chemically driven aspect of life and you will have a stranglehold on your flock. The more they try to avoid it the more they're going to be drawn to it and the more they're going to feel like sinners and the more they're going to need you to save them. Tell people sucking lemons is evil and they won't suck lemons and they won't need you. Tell people sex is evil and you'll have them stuck in a revolving door. Now here's the rub and the real reason I get so provoked by people who have been bamboozled into believing that copulation without at least fifty strings attached is anything but normal human behavior. The truth is, violence tends to be inversely proportional to the availability of sex. Remember generations of coaches who told the team to avoid love so they'd be full of hate for the big game? Look at riots in the street and what do you see? Mostly young, testosterone filled males throwing bricks. Look at guys flying planes into buildings. Would they do it if it weren't for the 79 virgins? And why do you suppose there's such a premium on virgins? The male's lack of experience leads to a lack of confidence and that, in turn, leads to a raging fury against experience and confidence...so let's find someone with neither. The weird part is that so many terrorists truly believe America is swimming in sex. If they only knew that it gets so much attention only because there's so little action. Eddie Izzard does a very funny and very insightful routine that involves God laying down the laws of mating. The dogs are told to do it doggie style. The dogs go away happy. The cats are also to do it doggie style. The cats aren't really happy about that but when are cats really happy about anything? The salmon are told about swimming up stream, struggling over dams and crashing into rocks only to die at the end. Bummer. And finally, the humans are told they can do it pretty much anyway they like...as long as they feel guilty. So I get comments from obviously guilty readers telling me how scary sex really is and providing laundry lists of things that can go wrong whilst rolling in the hay. That God ever invented sex in the first place was clearly a mistake so they create caveats that will at least make it as unpleasant as possible. However, if anything, it's a lack of sex that can be deadly. The British Medical Journal reported on a long-term study of nearly a thousand men between the ages of 45 and 59. In our culture of scary sex it's perhaps not too surprising that the findings have not received the attention they deserve. You see, the data showed that the amount of sexual activity enjoyed by a man is directly proportional to both his health and longevity. Men who reported twice as much sex were half as likely to die prematurely. As for all the stories you've heard regarding the dangers of the pill, in a study that followed 46,000 women for almost 40 years, taking the pill resulted in their being less likely to die prematurely from all causes including cancer and heart disease. And finally, there's always the threat of unwanted pregnancy. This is typically thrown up by the same folks who want to ban sex education, readily available contraceptives and abortion. The point here is that certain women will continue to make babies because they don't have much else to do and/or because they view it as a kind of cottage industry. Clearly, Abstinence Only and Just Say No approaches don't work. So if you really want to get serious, consider the Chinese model. If not, then just keep doing what you're doing and getting what you're getting. We live in an era of increasingly relaxed attitudes towards sex and sexuality. The advent of dating apps has made meeting a potential partner as easy as swiping a finger. So why are people having less sex? The Facts The British National Survey of Sexual Attitudes and Lifestyles in 2013 showed the frequency of sex among 16 to 44-year-olds fell by 20% compared to 2000. Similarly, a 2017 study published in the Archives of Sexual Behaviour found that Americans are having sex nine fewer times per year than in the 1990s. The trend of a declining interest in sex is not just a western phenomenon. One in three Singaporeans polled in 2014 said they had sex less than once a month. The Japan Family Planning Association reported that 46% of women and more than 25% of men between the ages of 16 and 24 “were not interested in or despised sexual contact”. While nearly 50% of married respondents reported being in a “sexless” marriage. A Work-Related Hazard One possible cause for this trend is our work lives. It seems the more hours we work, the more tired and stressed we become, negatively impacting our sex lives. Research backs this up. According to a Swiss study, “higher self-reported stress in daily life was associated with lower levels of sexual activity and satisfaction, and a decrease in relationship satisfaction.” In Japan, the most common reason for being uninterested in sex given by married men is being “too tired from work”. The average American in full-time employment worked 47 hours a week in 2015. Closer to home, the average Singaporean worked 45.1 hours per week in 2017. Higher than South Korea and Japan, countries well known for their intense work cultures. Netflix and Chill We have a plethora of choices when it comes to entertainment these days. An abundance of on-demand streaming services, alongside social media and video games have made us increasingly attached to our smartphones, tablets and PCs. Related Post Instant gratification in various forms is always at our fingertips, perhaps having an adverse effect on our romantic relationships. This interference by technology, dubbed “Technoference”, was researched at Brigham Young University. The result: 70% of women said their partner’s use of smartphones interfered with their love life. Professor Kaye Wellings, of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, states, “ iPads and computers have all breached the boundary between the home and the bedroom.” Depression’s Dark Cloud The Western world and Asia have both struggled to deal with a growing depression epidemic. More than 20% of Americans will experience an episode of clinical depression. In the UK, 10% of 25- to 64-year-olds admit to having depression. The World Health Organisation’s 2015 estimates gave Singapore the highest rate of depression in Asia. Singapore’s Institute of Mental Health reported a 20% increase in major depressive cases between 2014 and 2016. Studies show that depression is one of the most common causes of sexual dysfunction as well as loss of interest in sex. Symptoms of Modern Life There is no single answer we can point to as the root cause for this trend towards sexual disinterest. Several factors may have a cumulative effect, although much depends on an individual’s circumstances and lifestyle. Modern life in a developed country, however, does appear to be the main culprit.
  11. Time to implement
  12. Time for good things.
  13. A huge misunderstanding. You describe strong as a rock to mean something that is devoid of emotion and care. Strong and stoic means to be able to endure a lot and still survive because only the weak perish. It does not mean being unempathetic and unemotional and uncaring. No person can be happy with a person who lacks basic emotion and understanding. Because lack of emotion and care can be very narcissistic and selfish. Love is selfless. Strong men do not feel the need to flaunt or assert that they are strong. They know well that they are strong and they are not insecure. Insecure men engage in displays of excessive false power to assert themselves as strong because of the cognitive dissonance they have. They feel to overcompensate themselves. Strength is a very important quality and it means resistance and resilience and perisistence and the ability to rise up again despite the enormousness of the setbacks and it is not being like a stone with no heart or emotion. That's called psychopathy and apathy not strength. A woman looks for emotional strength and support in a man. If he is not emotional, he will end up being too harsh to her, thus being counter-productive to her health and well being and she might give up at some point. Such a man is no good to her and she is better off without him. A man looks for love and care and nurturing in a woman. Women are emotional. They do not prefer harshness in a man. At the same time they don't want a man to fall apart. They want a man who can have empathy and understanding for them but also remain strong in situations and not break down. These are two different things and two different qualities very admirable in a man. A man who is too cold and harsh and devoid of emotion or feeling will soon tire out a woman leaving her emotionally drained and fending for herself. Imo, a strong man would be like this
  14. Organized religion is a problem. Religion has influence on important aspects of existence and society like birth, marriage, death or burial, politics, medicine or health, law or crime and punishment. This is a problem. This gives full control to religion over the state. Separation of state and religion is important. Once you remove religion from all the aspects, you break the chains of dependency and you get freedom. In that case religion becomes redundant and can be let go easily. pg

  17. Positive and negative energy. There is a lot of negative energy in the environment. Whenever there is sabotage and chaos and disorder both on the microcosm level and the cosmological level there is a lot of negative energy that is causing it. Naturally there is a lot of negative energy present. Positive energy is rare. It only comes upon invoking. Negative energy is like stones and pebbles, you find them everywhere. Positive energy is like gems like diamonds you don't find it scattered everywhere. There are found somewhere and only rarely. It's very easy for the body and the mind to attract negative energy all the time. But to attract positive energy will need to invoke it as much as you can. When things are running smoothly it means either the absence of negative energy or the presence of strong positive energies. Invoking and cleansing. You should keep invoking positive energy and keep banishing or cleansing negative energy all the time. Keep invoking till all the negative energy has left and there is no more chaos or chasm or sabotage left. Wherever there is drama, there is negative energy.

  19. Cauldron for burning incense or herbs. During relaxation and when letting the mind off something. Letting go and also for spreading aroma as in aromatherapy.
  20. Cauldron Shopping By now, we all know my paradoxical position on cauldrons. There’s no strong reason to have them, but I adore the ones I have and will cart them all over the world if that’s what it takes to keep them with me. It doesn’t make sense, but it is what it is. Recognizing that there is a desire (or need) out there for cauldrons, I suppose the smart thing to do would be to set forth some sort of shopping guide. Cauldrons aren’t exactly cheap, so you’ll want to get it right the first time around. First thing’s first: the practical matters. For example, what metal do you choose? You can usually find something to use as a cauldron in only two metals: iron and brass. My preference here is far and away the iron. In the first place, it will always be made much thicker than brass, for cast iron is a brittle metal and cannot be thinly pounded. As such, it will never warp, even if you’re putting it directly into a fire or building a fire in it. In the second place, cast iron pieces are poured rather than shaped, so any handles or legs on the piece are part of the pot itself, not smaller things welded on later in the process. This means that the cast iron pot is integrally stronger than an assembled pot. Thirdly, cast iron seasons to a black color, which means scorch marks and other surface damage will be hardly noticeable. Moreover, if damage does occur, it can be scoured off and reseasoned very easily. Unfortunately, I have found brass pieces to be very thin, and that opens them up to more damage. My poor little brass pot, for example, as a great ding in one side from where it got knocked against a rock in the dark. The few alcohol fires I’ve burnt in it have warped it and loosened the joins between the pot and the legs, which makes me question its safety in future burnings. In fact, the pot is so thin that it’s scorched through in one point near the base, weakening the metal to where there will certainly be a hole in that point sometime in the future. The pot has also permanently discolored in some places where the heat was too intense for it. Worse still, many manufacturers treat brass with a type of coating to prevent it from tarnishing. My brass cauldron must have had such a coating, and the heat has utterly destroyed it. Now the pot’s surface is peppered with all manner of black splotches and stains. All in all, I cannot recommend the use of brass cauldrons at all unless it is the only option for your tradition (some that deal largely with fairy folk avoid the use of iron in all magical tools). Another important consideration is how narrow the narrowest part of the pot is. In short, you do not want a piece you can’t fit your hand into. Cauldrons take a lot of abuse, and they require a good scouring when they get dirty. It is practically impossible to scour something when you’ve got to get at it with a narrow brush. Additionally, if the cauldron is to be used to burn something, you’re going to want as much oxygen as possible getting to the bottom of the pot. As carbon dioxide is heavier than oxygen, it can get trapped in a narrow-mouthed pot and the flame will snuff itself out. You’ll also want to consider how you’ll actually use the pot. If, for example, you would cook something in it, you’d probably want a flat-bottomed pot so that you can use it on a stove top. If you want to brew potions with potentially poisonous ingredients, you’ll want a pot that can be very thoroughly cleaned, which precludes seasoned cast iron as the material. If you want to use it as a burning vessel (or have an intense desire to build fires every time you want to whip up a potion), a pot with three legs will be best, since it will keep the hottest parts of the pot from touching a large surface, which could burn it or potentially even start a fire. A burning vessel should also definitely have a tight-fitting lid, which can be used to smother the fire in an emergency. Intended use will also influence the optimal size of your cauldron. If, for instance, you want to use it as an incense censer, you need only something the size of a fruit bowl. If you want it to prepare food or potions, you’d probably want something with a capacity between 3 and 7 quarts, three being the size of a large saucepan and 7 being something you could make a coven’s worth of stew in. If you’d like to burn fire in it, I’d strongly recommend going no smaller than about 5 quarts. With these guidelines in place, then, where do you look to obtain your cauldron? Well, there’s always have the option of patronizing a Pagan store. This is always an admirable thing to do, since brick-and-mortar Pagan stores are on the decline and I’d even suspect that smaller online stores are becoming out-competed by larger ones. Unfortunately, I’ve only ever seen one large-ish cauldron at these places, and it’s still too small to be very practical. Pagan stores typically offer tiny cauldrons, which are largely more decorative than functional pieces. They often look just like the one pictured on the left, which is a tiny little fellow: just 3 inches tall, 2 inches deep, and 2.75 inches across. It will really only be useful as an incense burner, and it will probably cost you at least $20. If this is a route you’d choose, I’d recommend that you try to find a piece without a symbol put upon it. In this case, there’s a goddess symbol on the cauldron. That might prove counterproductive to a god-focused ritual. Moreover, air and fire–both elements involved in the censer–are masculine elements, so it wouldn’t make sense to have a highly feminine symbol on a tool involved with them. Symbols just complicate matters unduly. If you do want a cauldron for an incense burner, though, you don’t have to resort to the Pagan shops. Lodge Cast iron offers a little 8 oz serving kettle (3.5 inches across, 2 inches deep) that makes a perfect censer as well as a slightly larger 1 pint country kettle (5 inches across, 2.5 inches deep). The little one is just $10.95 and the larger is $15.95. Lodge also has a large range of seasoned cast iron flat-bottomed dutch ovens that would make for a great stove top cauldron. Five-quart pots tend to be around $55 and 7-quart pots about $85. Lodge also has a large range of seasoned cast iron camp ovens, which are essentially dutch ovens with little feet. Their 4-quart one runs about $66 and their 6-quart about $89. I’ve seen their standard dutch ovens for sale in kitchen stores, in Wal-marts, and in hardware stores, and I’ve seen the camp ovens in the outdoor sections of Wal-marts and in camping stores. If something more stereotypically cauldron like–the pot belly–is more what you had in mind, the potjie (pronounced poi-key) pots are a good option. These are essentially Dutch ovens but are designed with a narrower opening to discourage a lot of evaporation. Potjies today come in the traditional legged variety as well as flat bottoms for cooking in modern kitchens. The no. 2 size, which is a 5 quart capacity pot, runs about $80 for both legged and flat styles. The 8-quart no. 3 runs about $100. I may be biased as I have a potjie for my cauldron, but I think they’re superior for cauldron purposes. Aesthetically, they’re certainly more “cauldron-y”, and if you want to burn fires in them, they’re a little safer. Their legs are much longer than the standard dutch oven, which means there’s very little risk of the floor scorching. I would certainly emphasize using some sort of trivet if you attempt to burn indoors, though. For the “cook up a potion” crowd, there’s also an obvious option moving away from the stereotypical look of a cauldron, and that’s dedicating a special regular pot or pan for cauldron use. In this avenue, I have to admit I’m influenced by what the fictional TV wizard Harry Dresden chose: enameled cast iron. It’s got all the heat-retaining qualities of cast iron, but it’s a little easier to clean up. Plus, the porcelain enamel means that micro bits of your potions are less likely to cling to the pot as they would in seasoned cast iron. This definitely makes enameled cast iron a lot more ‘potion friendly’ as you would be able to work with poisonous plants with more safety. Enameled cast iron is, unfortunately, not very cheap. Retail price for a new 5.5 quart Le Creuset dutch oven is $265, or about $200 more than a seasoned cast iron piece of the same size. I prefer to look for good vintage pieces on eBay if I want enameled cast iron, and have been able to find lots of casseroles and such for dirt cheap prices. If enameled cast iron seems more your speed and you desire a more traditional cauldron shape, I’d recommend trying to find a vintage bean pot, such as this one from Descoware. It’s not a piece currently manufactured by any enameled cast iron company today, but they do pop up somewhat frequently on eBay. Auctions often close anywhere between $20-$90. I believe I spent about $60 on my bean pot…which has about a 2 quart capacity and which I use for simmering beans and grains. A saucepan such as Harry Dresden’s will often be between 1 and 2 quarts and will auction for between $10 and $30. For fairy-friendly pagan folk who might desire to potion without iron, I would suggest investing in a good copper sauce pan. This is not going to be a cheap option, even with eBay. Unfortunately, I would actually discourage anyone from the eBay route unless he or she has the aid of someone who knows a lot about vintage cookware, both for health and wallet safety. In modern cookware, it’s exceedingly difficult to find copper cookware that doesn’t also include stainless steel, even amongst the old copper pot companies. However, the French company Mauviel does still make one all copper pot: their sugar saucepan. Their 3.78 quart pan runs about $198. Their smallest, a .9 quart pan, is about $100. There are three sizes in between with prices increasing as the capacity increases. Compulsory items Earth - crystals and salt, mud pot. Water - chalice with water Fire - candle and cauldron Spirit and air - incense sticks and Chakra, for spirit wand, Athame, and the broom.
  21. Directions for elements. North towards the right - water North towards the left - spirit including air. South towards the left - Fire, opposite pole of water. South towards the right - Earth Symbol of God is to the north facing all symbols. To the center of all symbols is balance between masculine and feminine, between high and low, between high energy and low energy and between good and evil. Fire is a source of high energy. Needs calming with water. Water is a source of intelligence. Thought, emotion, higher planes and calming or taming of negative and high energy. Spirit is a source of higher spiritual plane. Air is a source of knowledge and imagination or visualizations. Earth is a source of balance and remaining grounded or attached to something, of substratum or a foundation to base things on and also of being grounded in reality and being realistic or practical. Invoking and banishing Banishing means taming. Invoking different elements. Water. Invoking the element of water By acquiring more knowledge, connecting to your emotions, intuition and having higher consciousness. Being wise in decisions and sharpening intelligence. Being in harmony with nature, universal laws and understanding the universe. Trying to get united with the spirit and being in blue low energy level consciousness. Banishing this element If you have to create something or start you need more energy it means you will need to stop being calm and increase focus and motivate yourself into restlessness to get the work done. Fire. Invoking the element of fire This is the energy of creation. The energy needed to start something. The fuel. It's very connected to the spirit and very deeply attached to the spirit. In certain cultures the spirit is represented by a flame. You have to be careful with it. Fire can be used for cooking or can it be used to destroy something. Therefore this energy is very volatile. If not directed properly can cause massive problems like war, destruction and evil. Used properly and wisely and it can be used for self defense and protection the way fire protects from cold. A weapon can be good or bad depending on the use. You can create something good or create something dangerous. You are invoking it every day as you work towards your goals. Fire is also like passion. Too little passion will cause passivity. Too much passion can lead to obsession and destruction. Banishing this element This element needs careful control. Since it is needed it can be used only as much is needed. When you are too excited or full of rage or getting too emotional, you need to calm down or else you will make illogical decisions. Air and spirit Invoking the element of air and spirit This needs connection to a higher spirit. Through prayer. Experience the spiritual realm. It can be on both cosmological and microcosm level. Spiritual planes are different than physical reality. This is the connecting bridge between the physical and the spiritual world on a cosmological level and a bridge between the spirit and the body on a microcosm or individual level. Banishing this element If you think you have lost touch with reality and you need to focus on the flesh or the earth, start by reducing your spiritual impulses and try to have more focus on the physical world. Earth Invoking the element of earth Being very grounded. Having a set routine or schedule every day. Making practical decisions and choices. Taking good care of the body, the temple. Cutting down excessive day dreaming and grand delusions. Connecting with crystals and connecting with nature like gardening or saving the environment. Having a firm basis or foundation in life to follow. A set path. Knowing the direction or trajectory of your life. Having a base and a sense of direction and purpose. Not doing things just because others do but knowing why you are doing it. Using a template or set mental map to guide you through life. Creating such a guidance map or structure. Being rational and logical in your thinking and decisions. Banishing this element If you feel you have always been too hard wired and grounded and very practical and you need a break, you also want to dream and fantasize and have a splendid vision. Then cut down your limited thinking. Banish this element for that amount of time and become more positive instead of critical and Visualize and have a vision. Even things that look impossible or difficult right now can be possible some day. Be positive and patient. Keep yourself open minded to different possibilities. Engage in prayer. Do brainstorming. Do not hold back yiur inner feelings or desires. Start to dream the possibility of something. Make your dreams come true. Use the power of imagination. Invoking an element - - > light the candle Banishing an element - - > put out the candle
  22. Chapter 4 Representation of 5 elements Fire - lamp or candle flame. Water - chalice with water. Earth - a jar of mud with crystals on top. Spirit or Ether - wand or Athame and the broom and incense releasing smoke. Athame, wand and broom and incense necessary. Air is not included. Here the air element is already combined with the Ether or spirit element that is they are fused
  23. Chapter 3 Facing of the different elements. North side Earth represented by a cup of salt. West is represented by a water represented by a chalice filled with water. East is Air represented by a lit incense stick releasing smoke. South is Fire. Represented by a lit candle. Usually this way.
  24. Chapter 2 The Five Element Symbols: Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Spirit Catherine Beyer Updated June 01, 2018 The Greeks proposed the existence of five basic elements. Of these, four were the physical elements – fire, air, water, and earth – of which the entire world is composed. Alchemists eventually associated four triangular symbols to represent these elements. The fifth element, which goes by a variety of names, is more rarefied than the four physical elements. Some simply call it Spirit. Others call it Aether or Quintessence (literally "the fifth element" in Latin). In traditional Western occult theory, the elements are hierarchical: Spirit, fire, air, water, and earth – with the first elements being more spiritual and perfect and the last elements being more material and base. Some modern systems, such as Wicca, view the elements as equal. Before we examine the elements themselves, it is important to understand the qualities, orientations, and correspondences that are associated with the elements. Each element is connected with aspects in each of these and it helps correlate their relationship to one another. In classical elemental systems, each element has two qualities, and it shares each quality with one other element. Warm/Cold Each element is either warm or cold, and this corresponds with a male or female gender. This is a strongly dichotomous system, where male qualities are things like light, warmth, and activity, and female qualities are dark, cold, passive, and receptive. The orientation of the triangle is determined by warmth or coldness, male or female. Male, warm elements point upward, ascending toward the spiritual realm. Female, cold elements point downward, descending into the earth. Moist/Dry The second pair of qualities is moistness or dryness. Unlike the warm and cold qualities, moist and dry qualities do not immediately correspond to other concepts. Opposing Elements Because each element shares one of its qualities with one other element, that leaves one element completely unrelated. For example, air is moist like water and warm like fire, but it has nothing in common with earth. These opposing elements are on opposite sides of the diagram and are distinguished by the presence or absence of the crossbar within the triangle: Air and earth are opposites and have the crossbar Water and fire are also opposites and lack the crossbar. Hierarchy of Elements There is traditionally a hierarchy of elements, although some modern schools of thought have abandoned this system. The lower elements in the hierarchy are more material and physical, with the higher elements becoming more spiritual, more rarefied, and less physical. That hierarchy can be traced through this diagram. Earth is the lowest, most material element. Circling clockwise from earth you get water, air and then fire, the least material of the elements. The pentagram has represented many diverse meanings over the centuries. Since at least the Renaissance, one of its associations is with the five elements. Arrangement Traditionally, there is a hierarchy among the elements ranging from the most spiritual and rarefied to the least spiritual and most material. This hierarchy determines the placement of elements around the pentagram. Starting with spirit, the highest element, we descend to fire, then follow the lines of the pentagram over to air, across to water, and down to earth, the lowest and most material of the elements. The final line between earth and spirit completes the geometric shape. Orientation The issue of a pentagram being point-up or point-down only gained relevance in the 19th-century and has everything to do with the arrangement of elements. A point-up pentagram came to symbolize spirit ruling over the four physical elements, while a point-down pentagram symbolized spirit being subsumed by matter or descending into matter. Since then, some have simplified those associations to simply represent good and evil. This is generally not the position of those who commonly work with point-down pentagrams, and is often not the position of those associating themselves with point-up pentagrams either. Colors The colors used here are those associated with each element by the Golden Dawn. These associations are commonly borrowed by other groups as well. Ceremonial occult systems traditionally depend on systems of correspondences: collections of items that are all associated in some way with the desired goal. While the types of correspondences are nearly endless, associations between elements, seasons, time of day, elements, moon phases, and directions have become fairly standardized in the West. These are frequently the basis for additional correspondences. The Golden Dawn's Elemental/Directional Correspondences The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn codified some of these correspondences in the 19th-century. Most notable here are the cardinal directions. The Golden Dawn originated in England, and the directional/elemental correspondences reflect a European perspective. To the south are the warmer climates, and thus is associated with fire. The Atlantic ocean lies to the west. The north is cold and formidable, a land of earth but sometimes not a lot else. Occultists practicing in America or elsewhere sometimes do not find these correspondences to work. Daily, Monthly, and Yearly Cycles Cycles are important facets of many occult systems. Looking at daily, monthly, and yearly natural cycles, we find periods of growth and dying, of fullness and barrenness. Fire is the element of fullness and life, and it is closely associated with the Sun. Therefore, it's unsurprising that noon and summer would be associated with fire. By that same logic, the full moon should also be in the same category. Earth is in the opposite direction as fire and therefore corresponds with midnight, winter, and the new moon. While these things might represent barrenness, more often they are representative of potential and transformation; the point where the old gives way to the new; the empty fertility readies to feed new creations. Air is the element of new beginnings, youth, increase, and creativity. As such, it is associated with spring, the waxing moon, and sunrise. Things are growing warmer and brighter, while plants and animals give birth to a new generation. Water is the element of emotion and wisdom, particularly the wisdom of age. It represents a time past the peak of livelihood, moving toward the end of the cycle. Fire is associated with strength, activity, blood, and life-force. It is also seen as highly purifying and protective, consuming impurities and driving back the darkness. Fire is traditionally seen as the most rarefied and spiritual of the physical elements because of its masculine properties (which were superior to female properties). It also lacks physical existence, produces light, and has a transformative power when it comes in contact with a more physical material. Qualities: Warm, Dry Gender: Masculine (active) Elemental: Salamander (Here referring to a mythological lizard creature which could burst into flames) Golden Dawn Direction: South Golden Dawn Color: Red Magical Tool: Sword, athame, dagger, sometimes wand Planets: Sol (Sun), Mars Zodiac signs: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius Season: Summer Time of Day: Noon Air is the element of intelligence, creativity, and beginnings. Largely intangible and without permanent form, air is an active, masculine element, superior to the more material elements of water and earth. Qualities: Warm, Moist Gender: Masculine (active) Elemental: Sylphs (Invisible beings) Golden Dawn Direction: East Golden Dawn Color: Yellow Magical Tool: Wand, sometimes sword, dagger or athame Planets: Jupiter Zodiac Signs: Gemini, Libra, Aquarius Season: Spring Time of Day: Morning, Sunrise Water is the element of emotion and the unconscious, as opposed to the conscious intellectualism of air. Water is one of two elements that have a physical existence that can interact with all of the physical senses. Water is still considered less material (and thus superior) to earth because it possesses more motion and activity than earth. Qualities: Cold, Moist Gender: Feminine (passive) Elemental: Undines (water-based nymphs) Golden Dawn Direction: West Golden Dawn Color: Blue Magical Tool: Cup Planets: Moon, Venus Zodiac Signs: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces Season: Fall Time of Day: Sunset Earth is the element of stability, groundedness, fertility, materiality, potential, and stillness. Earth can also be an element of beginnings and endings, or death and rebirth, as life comes from the ground and then decomposes back into earth after death. Qualities: Cold, Dry Gender: Feminine (passive) Elemental: Gnomes Golden Dawn Direction: North Golden Dawn Color: Green Magical Tool: Pentacle Planets: Saturn Zodiac Signs: Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn Season: Winter Time of Day: Midnight The element of spirit does not have the same arrangements of correspondences as the physical elements since spirit is not physical. Various different systems may associate planets, tools, and so-forth to it, but such correspondences are far less standardized than those of the other four elements. The element of spirit goes by several names. The most common are spirit, ether or aether, and quintessence, which is Latin for "fifth element." There is also no standard symbol for spirit, although circles are common. Eight-spoked wheels and spirals are also sometimes used to represent spirit. Spirit is a bridge between the physical and the spiritual. In cosmological models, spirit is the transitory material between the physical and celestial realms. Within the microcosm, spirit is the bridge between body and soul. Golden Dawn Direction: Above, Below, Within Golden Dawn Color: Violet, Orange, White
