Realize that this picture is imagination and it is still an experience. Real death is like going to sleep, waking up and not remembering your dream. When you sleep, do you lie down 8 hours in blackness? Are you telling yourself that you 'had' a dream and you 'forgot' it? No, there is no discontinuity between night and day. The dream you had and ruminate is happening in the morning. You are constantly dying to your thoughts, to your experience, every nanosecond. You don't remember what you thought 5 minutes ago. You don't know what your next thought will be. Reincarnation is not a bodily life-death thing because 'your' body is not separate from the world. Reincarnation is the present moment.
