You are right in that "to know something" is "to do something". To know how things fly means: to make things fly. Do you know what it means "to know yourself"? Exactly the same thing: "to do yourself". To be yourself. To not hang up and flow. That is the embodiment of infinite intelligence - thoughtless action. Unconditional presence. You are confusing the insight in the relative domain with insight in the absolute domain. Absolute insights cannot be verified empirically. The feedback loop only feeds selfishness. That is why saints are canonized post-mortem. -

@Dwarniel Do you have more of those to interpret? -

Tomberg in his book argues that Gnosis - sacred knowledge - is passed down from mystical experiences through silent contemplation. Creating a 'Gnostic church' is having religion ass-backwards. It is a way of synthesizing spiritual traditions intellectually, which arrives precisely at nothing in particular. Rules are devoid of life and such an endeavor is sterile, uninspiring. It's like having Catholic church with no saints and Christ. Mystics are the ones that give life to religion. Religion is important for mystics as a context in terms of which mystical experiences can be expressed. -
Three vows, three temptations.

@Zigzag Idiot Thank you ? I swear, it feels like you are posting this for me, specifically. Belly quality, huh?

The mind radiating chaos over the eye that is watchful. -

I would say that samadhi is a transfiguration of the mind where it loses its ability to determine itself. Permanent enlightenment = permanent samadhi? That would seem to bridge our understanding. -
Sinking the mind in the breath: day #1 It is difficult to confuse focus with relaxation. I need to relax the energy down to my belly and keep it in a lump there by letting go. Focus is like shooting the energy up to the mind and back down to the belly as a single point. That is exhausting and contracting. When I'm in this relaxed-belly way of being, the body is a field of impressibility. Everything I come in contact with leaves an imprint that resonates up the spine and 'bubbles' as a linguistic thought. If the environment is too stimulating, I lose the grip of relaxation and get back to processing thoughts. It's very, very sneaky. I suspect that thought-processing is simply a conditioned response to the today's modern technological world that bombards us with stimuli. I can keep this completely thoughtless state up for long periods of time in a quiet environment when I'm seated. I can talk, move and engage with activities, but if I start walking it get's tricky very quickly. If the environment is quiet, like the forest today, I can manage it. Walking past the street when people go to work is too much for me. I told my wife what I'm experimenting with and she told me some time after that, that she's feeling the same thing herself. She was surprised that I didn't know that people's auras are connected when they are in a relationship. The sensation was annoying her.

The two are correlated. In order to tap into infinite intelligence, the small mind has to be in samadhi. God realization follows. Samadhi is synonymous with enlightenment in many traditions. Yes, it can happen at any point in the spiral, but once it hits you, a new dimension of existence is open. It's like you're simultaneously a small mind and the infinite mind. At least this is how I conceptualize my experience from within the small mind. Does this answer your question about the relationship between enlightenment and dogma? I concur. This is a duality to be transcended. I agree. -

@Truth Addict The finite mind has the capacity to mirror some of the complexity of the present moment and make predictions. I remember you saying that the present moment has no causality, while I argue that it has infinite causality. Dogma is when the small mind takes it's own theory for the truth, what actually is. With enlightenment, the capacity of the small mind skyrockets and one is able to model reality with superhuman ability. Look at Christ for example, he made his physical life archetypal and started a religion that spans thousands of years. He literally became his preaching/teaching to do that. He got himself crucified to make his point and then he came back from the dead lol. Enlightened people are not dogmatic, they are just, practically speaking, "right" beyond the utility of arguing. -

Good luck man. My friend tried out of curiosity and does not recommend. Says that his thoughts "scattered". He did it recklessly, without preparation, so it's not a quality opinion. -

That is how the infinitely malleable ego perceives God. I am neither Ego, nor God, even if I am at the root of both. I am the Mystery that is impenetrable to the mind. The story is fractal. Reality is mind (or Mind), but that which lies beyond cannot be known by it. I don't see that connection just yet. Thank you, I will. I know the way. I agree. I came full circle and realized that everything is the absolute truth, that includes religion. Not just there. Absolute truth is everywhere I look. Even the wind speaks it, I am not yet skilled enough to hear it. I'm getting there. Yes, scriptures can only show you your own depth. Nothing more. -

I don't mind. -
Alright, I made up my resolve. I will sink my awareness down to my body and expand it to my subconscious mind. I am going to rest my awareness on my breath and increase the frequency of my cognition this way. Living thoughtlessly is scary, but I know that this is the way if I want to expand. It's been bugging me for ages.

@livg7046 The hallmark of excellence is speaking things simply, in a way that reflect the person's depth. The excellence of the Yin-yang is insane. -

My God, what kind of language is this. Please speak clearly. If there is any sense to what you are saying it flies waaay over my head. I admire your intellect. -

@Aakash Are you being cheeky by playing neo-advaita with me? Ask your questions honestly. -

@Aakash What do you mean by 'how'? It is self-evident. The path is not about adding methods, but about removing the methods that bind you unbeknownst to you. There is no 'how' after you're done. There is only the present moment and change. -
tsuki replied to Lowerplanedweller's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Because the path goes full circle when you go through infinity. It's like all that is bad were always good, but you were missing it. After you're done, you are exactly where you started but have everything at your disposal. The difference is that you know what you are and what to do.
