  1. Another vote for microdosing to increase creativity. LSD and psilocybin mushrooms are the two biggies. Like Serotoninluv said, you want a sub-threshold dose, which means that you won't have any trippy visuals or anything too unusual in your sense fields. For mushrooms, a good starting place is .15g of dried mushrooms. If you dose on Monday, take Tuesday and Wednesday off and dose again on Thursday, then again on Sunday, then again on Wednesday, etc. If you want faster results, try 6g
  2. The left side of the hamster wheel needs oil? LOL, sorry.
  3. Whether or not she's nutty or from Arctura, she's put out lots of insightful, serious stuff. I don't mind Teal at all.
  4. But he did copy Leo's nice black button-up shirt......
  5. I didn't see the word enlightenment once, and his definition of self-actualization isn't the non-dual definition. From what I could tell, he's focused on the business side of self-development, and less into awakening.
  6. And your english is wonderful.
  7. Hi, and welcome! I agree that it's potentially lucky that you are interested at such a young age. I doubt you'll be seeing Leo clarifying his positions on Islam to you, as that would almost surely make you feel that you need to defend each one. I kind of get that vibe from your post. Best to just leave it and let people think their own thoughts. That's one of the toughest things to do in life, I think. Do you meditate? That would be a good starting point for a young guy like you on this path.
  8. Man that's great! I can relate, I have been at it since December, and it has helped me so much. Have you done any strong determination sits? Leo has a video on it, as does Shinzen Young. If you want to test yourself, give that a try. And I would say that as long as you are fulfilling your normal obligations in life, you can't meditate too much. It's advisable to not have meditation be your only spiritual practice, but there are worse things to do than to meditate for a couple hours a day.
  9. @MiracleMan I have never tripped in a float tank, but I've gone in there completely sober and also half stoned. Wild experience, I don't see too many threads about tanks on this forum, might have to start one sometime.
  10. That is so great, I am happy for you! Keep going with it!
  11. @mkrksms Yeah, that book is sitting on my dining room table still, along with my other spiritual books. It has kind of been a year of dabbling in different things. I enjoy meditating, so that will stay for sure, but I think the kriya will make its way back into my daily routine.
  12. @Serotoninluv Right, fair enough.
  13. @Serotoninluv Have you never done mushrooms, or did they just not make your insight list?
  14. LOL, same here. I'm apparently fond of the attachments and the same old drama. Honestly, I don't think I'm putting enough effort and/or desire into the right places. I meditate for 70 minutes a day (3 hrs a day on wkends), and I do psychedelics once in a while, but I stopped doing kriya yoga, and I know I should pick it back up but.....I admit that I like meditating much more, so there's a big attachment there. I've become a one-trick pony, and I'm sure that decreases my chances at awakening.
  15. Normal is a setting on a washing machine, brother.
  16. It's hard, brother, and it takes time. Maybe just add 2 minutes per week and force yourself to sit until the timer dings, but you have to commit to doing this every day. Like anything, the things we do everyday become habits, but they don't work that way without consistency. When you get the habit established, 20 minutes won't seem like very long at all, and you can extend it out to 30 minutes, which is a very good daily meditation period. If you have headphones and haven't tried this already, maybe put on some binaural beats or soft meditation sounds like gurgling water, and listen to that while you're meditating. Nothing too noisy or lively, just soft sounds. If you always meditate in the evenings and it becomes tiresome, maybe try it when you first get up in the morning and see if that brain state changes how you feel about it.
  17. We have to be careful about making meditation too goal-oriented, because it just won't work if you're reaching for something every time you sit down to meditate. Wanting relaxation, wanting peace, wanting to focus on your breath without any distractions, wanting to quiet our minds. Those things and more may very well happen when we sit to meditate, but they shouldn't be reached for. I will say that I think it's hard to gain a whole lot from meditation by just doing 10 minutes a day. It's far better than not doing it at all, but if you can double that to 20 minutes, then I think you will start to see the potential of it more clearly, thus making it less of a chore and more like something that you look forward to. That won't happen right away of course, but give it a few weeks.
  18. @Sven Yes, that's one of the original bibles of lucid dreaming. I read that book way back in 1990 or somrthing. I have had lucid dreams ever since I was a little kid, but that book helped me to hone the skill of lucid dreaming. I would recommend it for anyone who wants to learn how.
  19. Why not just grow your own mushrooms and be done with it?
  20. I like that my new era has arrived. Thank you for this nice post.
  21. For a 19 yr old, I would hope so. But stay with the meditating and watch your life improve greatly!
  22. @Andreas If you're simply exploring a thought experiment, that's cool, I do it too. But if you're in a rough spot mentally, send me a PM if you'd like to talk....I'd be more than happy to shoot the shit with ya.
  23. Come on, man. When you start thinking like this, it's your sign to take a break from this work. Maybe go have fun and dry out a bit. It's always so disconcerting to see threads like this. Be well, please.
