Okay I understand now, thank you. To answer your question, please support the conservative secular movement. It'll be heart-breaking to see a fine country like yours implode if y'all let this continue. -

@MarkusSweden Markus are you Muslim yourself? I ask because it is difficult to tell from the writing you have in italics and use of "we". -
When Leo says the Absolute is every possibility realized simultaneously, what qualifies as a possibility? Are they limited by the laws of physics? I had a discussion about this topic recently with another member on this forum, and neither of us can understand what precisely he means by this. Does this mean literal Heaven (pearly gates, seraphs, streets of gold) and Hell-like (demons, flame pits, blood and gore) realms are possible and therefore exist in some fashion? I'm very confused about his model of understanding. Thanks guys.

@Haumea Thank God I hope this is true. Leo needs to talk about this because a lot of us are coming to some really odd if not downright terrifying conclusions. -

@egoless I don’t mean to focus on the negative (from a human perspective), but doesn’t it seem unnecessarily cruel to have a realm of eternal damnation and suffering? If that’s the case, I can’t blame people for fearing death. -

@Shin Okay so it’s basically like the many worlds interpretation of quantum theory? -
Is it possible to love someone selflessly, or is selfishness just an intrinsic part of romance?

Is it wrong to say we can have a little bit of both? -
As disgustingly as it may sound, nutritional yeast is a really tasty substitute for parmesan. It is also a complete source of protein.

What do you say?

@Leo Gura That made my morning, thank you Leo. If I said that where I live, I'd be tied to a bed and exorcised. -
Where do you want to travel to in the future? I was born in Europe but have lived in the Americas primarily, so Asia's next on the list, maybe Japan or somewhere. For experienced travelers, what are some places you might recommend?

How do we know if human reason and direct mystical experiences can lead us to the Truth? I ask because I’ve been reading a blog lately by a philosopher named Peter Jones, and its central focus is simplifying and hopefully answering the biggest questions found in metaphysics. He is a non-dualist, and the purpose of one of his essays is to expose the weaknesses within materialism. His conclusion is, “All in all it seems difficult to make any kind of case for Materialism. If we do not know the facts then for us it may be true, but if it is then the universe must be miraculous, paradoxical, unreasonable and incomprehensible.” But what if it is? What if reason and experience are simply not enough for finding out with certainty? I know I’m overcomplicating things, but just hear me out. Say you’re standing in front of five different doors. You’re told that behind one of these doors is a billion dollars. If you choose the right door, then you can keep it all. So you think about it, and after a while, you notice there is a very subtle yet fresh-looking handprint on the knob of door number three. You choose door number three and, lo and behold, there’s the money. Looking back on it, you can say that your belief that the money was behind door number 3 was correct. Your reasoning power and experience in life provided you an educated guess, but can you really say prior to even guessing you KNEW where the money was?

@TheEnlightenedWon Thank you, you tapped right into the heart of my concern. I’m very skeptical now because I thought for the longest time science was the true bastion and purveyor of truth after I left the Church. -

@Joseph Maynor I wonder why reality is doing that. It seems to confuse the ego, at least this ego, quite a bit. Is there a reason for the story? -

@Serotoninluv Thank you for that. I’m glad to hear I’m not alone in this. The mind makes things so difficult sometimes. -
If anybody likes skydiving and scuba, Belize was really good. It’s a more dangerous place to travel, but it’s worth it.

I'm pretty familiar with the traditional terminology used to describe kundalini (shakti energy at the base of the spine, serpentine movements, crown chakra, etc.), but what is it really? Is it activity and possible damage to the vagus nerve? Also, from the accounts I've read, there seems to be a split between very positive spiritual experiences and and experiences that eventually land you in the hospital. I'm a little confused is all. Thanks guys.

@Shin I’ll be honest; it kind of stung when I read it, but Saumaya is right. We’ve been philosophizing for over 2500 years, and what do we have to show for it? We are just as clueless now as we were back then. -

@Kserkkj There seems to be a language barrier here Kserkkj, but I think I know where you are coming from. I favor the non-dual/idealist approach; I've even had a few glimpses myself through self-inquiry the first time and psychedelics the second, but I have my doubts. Our brains were primed for survival more so than truth-seeking https://www.quantamagazine.org/the-evolutionary-argument-against-reality-20160421/ I'm just calling into question whether the tool we have is the right tool. -

knowledge 1. facts, information, and skills acquired by a person through experience or education; the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject. 2. awareness or familiarity gained by experience of a fact or situation. Dang, I need to brush up on some definitions . Thank you Leo. -

I hope Leo will do a video on this topic at some point and how to properly awaken it. I tried psychedelics for the first time with Leo's safety guidelines and recommendations, and it turned out great. -

It seems like we're here to pursue happiness and avoid suffering. A whole religion is even based on the latter goal (Buddhism). -

@nick96 Well good luck on your journey there Nick; I'm sure it'll be worth it. What's your opinion on shaktipat transmission, where an enlightened guru can induce kundalini awakenings in others? -

@YellowButterfly That was very helpful actually. Was yours self-induced, and are you overall glad that it happened?
