I can't seem to make up my mind on this one; Tom Campbell said he was pretty convicted. The scientists in the video were surprised themselves of what was going on: -
Happy birthday Leo. Thank you for opening our minds and hearts and being here with us.

Sorry to see you leave us @Source_Mystic . I understand what you're saying, and I actually read your warning post about the shamanic breathing technique and its risks and decided against it. I respect Leo a lot because he's a true pioneer and an invaluable resource of experience and knowledge. I also, however, use discretion in anything Leo or other teachers recommend that I feel is unorthodox and potentially unsafe. People need to take responsibility for themselves. I don't think Leo intends for this forum to be a cult at all; but he's accepted to a certain degree that it's human nature for people united under a common goal or interest to form a collective ego at some point. There are a ton of sweet, encouraging people on this forum dedicated to improving themselves and assisting others along the way; how could we not to take up for each other every once in a while? I do wish Leo would warn about the psychological impact his videos may have upon viewers with preexisting psychological disorders; it kind of scares me the number of people on this forum who literally want to commit suicide. It's flat-out creepy. -
Leo and other teachers like him are doing a really great job. Spirituality is growing at a linear rate across all age cohorts, races, education attainment levels, and even political affiliations. We're waking up guys. http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2017/09/06/more-americans-now-say-theyre-spiritual-but-not-religious/

At your stage of spiritual development, what aspects of existence, life, consciousness, the world etc. do you still wonder about? Despite what you've learned from others and the experiences you've had, what questions still linger? For me, it's morality and free will, but what about for you?
-
I've been practicing this one for a while and have been doing it with my eyes open. Is this correct, or do I need to keep them shut? Thanks guys.

Just do your thing man; some guys enjoy and are made for the single life (myself included). Be sure to keep your health and bank account in good shape.

What do y’all normally do, and why do you find it to be the better way?

This is the conclusion I've come to based on my experiences and knowledge thus far, but I've been reading Tom Campbell's big TOE lately and have reconsidered this notion. He has studied consciousness with other scientists for decades and has had countless transcendental experiences, and his wisdom is a real gift to the world. Despite what many spiritual teachers say, Campbell suggests there is morality, free will, and a purpose to life. In summation, we are here to grow our consciousness through experiences and the choices we make. When I think about my own life, in the broadest sense, I realized that's exactly what I've been doing this whole time. I'm by no means a saint or an enlightened being, but my behavior has become much less selfish than it was 10 years ago and before. I found a video that reflects this topic from his big TOE. Start it at 1:47 if you're interested.

@Hardkill I guess I should have clarified what I meant by my agreeing with the video. Looks are not the biggest part of the equation, but when it comes to base, instinctual attraction, it is. Overall attraction, however, is mainly about status and money. This is why somebody like Donald Trump has slept with some of the best looking women in the world. I'm sure PUA is helpful because it raises your perceived value in the eyes of women. I'm glad you've had success with this. @d0ornokey I agree that the red pill and MGTOW communities on the internet emphasize misogyny and a victim attitude. However, they also present the facts regarding modern dating culture, divorce settlements, child custody laws, STDs, the gender wage gap myth, female nature, and gynocentrism in the Western world. You can use these facts to help you make important decisions in life like who you should date, who you shouldn't date, who you should marry, if you should marry, if you want children, how you want to have children, what goals you should pursue, where you should live etc.

No....not yet . We still need more people. -
Great video@MM1988 and I agree with its point. How is it brutal though?

You're on a roll @Haumea . -
What's your take on Adam, Eve, the Serpent, the Garden of Eden, the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, the Fall, etc.? What do these and the story itself represent to you?

I agree with a lot of Leo’s points, but I think he is underestimating the tragedy of Islamic culture and its often unspoken practices. As you will see, inbreeding has been a real issue in the past and continues to be so today. The ramifications are really heartbreaking: -
In our busy modern lives, it’s easy to forget we share this planet with over 5,000 mammalian species of life. Not everybody realizes this, but each one of them wants to be happy and avoid suffering just as we do. We live in a world filled with selfishness, hate, exploitation, and greed, but every once in a while, we come across a friend, a friend that reminds us of the love and freedom we’ve missed since childhood. Sometimes, the friendship formed can even transcend the barriers of language and biological similarity. Let’s talk about the animals in our lives. If you don’t have one, that’s okay; just talk about the animals you have or are fascinated by. Personally, I find the very fact that we can form close bonds with other species speaks to a much deeper underlying truth.

Yes, it started when I was 4 years old. My family and I were stationed in Panama at the time, and I had just returned home from watching The Lion King at the local theater. I was thrilled and really enjoyed the movie but was tired, so I plopped onto my bed for a quick nap. Before I fell asleep though, I began starting at the blank, ivory-hued wall beside me. I did this occasionally, but this time, something different happened. My mind was unusually calm and serene, and then a question arose, "...What is this?" At the time, I didn't know why I asked the question and what I was even referring to. My ego was established pretty early, so I never let my parents or anyone else know about it out of fear of being misunderstood. I never returned to the question until later; I was relieved to discover how many, many other have pondered this same question for millennia. -
Hi Leo please consider a video on the topic of music. There are a number of ways you could approach this. Just to name a few, you could talk about music and: -it's usage in the ancient religious/spiritual traditions (Hinduism, Roman Catholicism, Buddhism, etc.) -it's usage in modern-day spiritual practices and trends (ayahuasca ceremonies, holotropic breathwork sessions, dynamic meditation, etc.) -how it takes on a greater significance through different psychedelics (enhanced by psilocybin, San Pedro, peyote, etc.) -how to incorporate it into meditation, yoga, dance, contemplation, etc. -how it affects brainwave activity -which genres are best for spiritual growth -the benefits of learn an instrument for long-term mental health and as an expression of one's creativity https://www.inc.com/john-rampton/the-benefits-of-playing-music-help-your-brain-more.html

Even hypothetically, could there be a way to gain insight into what happens to awareness after the passing of the physical body? If we could one day revive people shortly after brain death, would their accounts be of relevance? I've remained pretty much agnostic on this issue for a long time, and I haven't come across a reason to change honestly. What are your thoughts?
-
WildeChilde replied to WildeChilde's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Leo Gura But your body is still there during the awakening right? When you uploaded your live experience a while back, you were enlightened, but we could clearly see your body was still there. I'm but Leoing here I admit, but it seems to me that it's an extrapolation to draw conclusions about death from an experience that happened while alive. I'm very open to it, but I'm afraid I'm going to delude myself or develop false hopes in the process. @Crazy_Monkey_Brain How can we equate an ego death with the physical death of the body? -
@Psyche_92 That's great man. Africa has some of the most interesting wildlife on the planet. I'm a fan of horses myself; you haven't lived until you've ridden one of these suckers at full gallop. They are really magnificent creatures in a way; they even have a wide range of readable facial expressions just like ours. http://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0131738

Tell us: 1. What psychedelic you used 2. How much of the psychedelic you decided to take 3. How it turned out (be as succinct or as elaborate as you want to be) 4. If you would recommend it

Here's a few ways you might consider covering this topic: History of Martial Arts in Europe and Especially in Asia- The asian/oriental arts often have a spiritual component to them that’s integral to understanding the entire discipline. Various Modern Schools- Just like yoga and meditation, there are various styles that people of all ages and ability levels can benefit from. Mindfulness and Living in the Present- Martial arts and especially the sparring component makes mindfulness, concentration, and living in the present a lot easily to learn. How to Find the Right Teacher- Just like in the spiritual community, there are a lot of posers and teachers who run what’s called McDojos. Finding the best teacher can make all the difference from my experience. Bruce Lee- He is one of the few figures in the 20th century that I know of that self-actualized early. He was and continues to remain an inspiration for the world. Also, from a personal standpoint, I've found this is one of the easiest ways to form quality friendships and relieve stress. If you find the right dojo with the right people, it literally feels like a second family. Anyways, here's a little taste of the martial arts world to get you started:
