  1. Materialism means you think objects exist as physical objects. That physical reality is real. In contrast to that nondualism means this: Let us define truth. Truth has to be unchanging, impersonal and omnipresent and everpresent. That means that Truth is contained in everything, everywhere at all times. Therefore it can only be one. Now comes you, what is your real nature of you?The answer is the That Truth. So the conclusion is you are everything. As far as your physical reality goes, it subject to continuous change so it is merely a dream. Believing in the dream causes illusion and suffering because anything in the dream cannot be it(Truth).
  2. Generally people are ego fuelled to some extent, especially in time of buddha, that creates suffering. The false self has to be continuously maintained so suffering is inevitable. Less ego, more joy.
  3. ah whatever, ill post it right here a newer one Hope your curiosity is satisfied
  4. People who tell you this misunderstand, absence of meaning of life doesn't mean you dont take action

  7. Yes, its just a matter of which angle you are seeing it from
  8. There could be some science behind those esoteric sorts of things but it doesn't interest me. Seems like he had you running in circles for quite a while lol
  9. Hmm....he could be distracting. I only took what works, I dont have any interest in his life or whether he was lying sometimes or not. Fortunately I found about sadhguru only after enlightenment so it was easy to tell what was useful and what was not.
  10. Again I read some stuff throughout the thread but its nothing that I dont know already . I think its more of an issue with me than Osho. I think I know and understand enough spirituality for one lifetime. I will start moving towards other areas of study soon. I ve watched so much sadhguru that I can even tell what he is going to say next. I think Ive had enough.
  11. @Shanmugam Ofcourse sadhguru doesnt want too much oppsition, why would he?He is not just a spiritual master, he is more like a celebrity now. He has to be relatable to the mainstream.
  12. I bought a lot of books on osho once, but I had to skim them because they were mostly weird or talked about stuff I already knew. Sadhguru on the other hand is different. I got a lot of insight from him. Maybe I dont resonate with Osho. I dont know.
  13. 19)There is no more existential suffering 20)Emotions come and go, you witness them without identification 21)An easiness or simplicity to life 22)Feeling like whole word is your home 23) No more psychological fear 24)A feeling of constant state of Samadhi without any high 25)Psyche is completely destroyed and then rebuild, it is like learning everything from scratch 26) Cannot confuse any belief for Absolute Truth 27)A feeling as if you were never born 28) A constant state of Happiness without being condition dependent 29)Always in a constant meditative state 30)Neurosis is not an issue anymore 31)The body still has needs but you don't identify them as your needs New one: 32)A quality of grace and stillness has entered life
  14. Hmm interesting..ill test it out sometime Thx
  15. Ah , I think Ive heard a version of this story from sadhguru. Good Post
  16. So basically when you imagine that youre doing the practice correctly, it can help in real life too?
  17. @Shanmugam I would say that there is only Absolute, when you start mistaking the appearance as reality(Absolute), then the illusion is created. Saying that everything is an illusion is a good pointer as it negates the idea that duality can exist.
  18. @Leo Gura Can you elaborate on what is visual practice? I am curious
  19. Yes, you gotta say everything is an illusion, you cant just pick certain elements in the dream and say they are illusion and others are not
  20. Only books I'll tell u something. I was suffering massively around 13sh. My longing for truth kept deepening and I couldn't take it anymore. When I found out that spiritual enlightenment is the way out; I went in it with full throttle. My longing for truth was very intense; That longing kept me motivated throughout the journey( I achieved it in 2years after all). I knew even if i had to die, Im up for it. It was strange though, I thought it would never end, but suddenly out of nowhere it hit me. I was reading jed mckennas book theory of everything, and then bam(the awakening experience), I was done . I knew it, there cant be any further. Its a total change in perspective you see, you cant miss it. I think that answers all your questions. I hope these are useful.
  21. @Ether lol I remember watching this two years ago
  22. Whatever works for you man. Thats the only rule in the end.
