  1. You aren’t alone in having fear and anxiety around your passion/life purpose. I actually found your post because I searched ‘fear’ since it’s something I’m struggling a lot with right now. I have never even posted or responded to someone on this forum before until now. I’m in the process of applying to graduate school, and I’m 23 right now, but by the time I’m finished with school along with the other certifications I need and build my own business, I’ll be around 30 and probably in a large amount of debt. It’s disheartening to think about it from that perspective, and I feel like I’ve wasted time, but I know it’s what I need to do and what the world needs so I don’t really have a choice. I’m going to see the time it takes me to get there as time to focus on my own emotional maturity and spirituality as I still have a long way to go in those areas. I see that I’m not ready to truly help people yet because I have a lot more learning to do about myself and also about my field specifically. I read a book on Leo’s booklist called Loving What Is by a woman named Byron Katie a long time ago and it can be extremely beneficial for times when you feel blocked and consumed by fear. The author actually has a website that has everything you need for free, so you don’t even have to buy the book if you can’t or don’t want to. But basically you identify specific stressful thoughts and question if they’re really true or not and examine how the opposite could be true instead... I should probably do that soon myself in regards to my own situation. I hope my rambling helped to at least comfort you some.
