  1. I was just about to post insights about politics, just to find out there isn't any such subforum anymore!? Why? There use to be a sub forum for topics like Politics, History, Astrology etc. Leo constantly stretch how he differs from other non-dual teacher because he goes for the big picture and analyse how everything in the relative world unfolds as well. He love to mention Governments, Trump, Hitler, Historic aspects of many topics etcetera. So why isn't there any subforum for history/Politics any longer?
  2. @Leo Gura True, we are much better of without it.
  3. @Shin Words! Thats my biggest cause of hate in me. I've no problem to drop all media and never consume it more. But the fact that my happiness and openness will be considering weird by other people because of what media does to them are so frustrating. Our species are hijacked of its natural peace and happiness. Shin, I will tell you something, why I end up here. I had my own business, I wasn't dependent on society. I started to unfollow media, not because I saw it as toxic, I was just drunk with life and my interests. I loved music, humor, outdoor activities, classic movies, skiing, trekking, cycling. People start viewed me as too happy I thought. People liked me and all of them wanted my company, to be friends with them. But it was also like they saw me as naive or something. And I felt naive also. I felt like I didn't penetrate society. I didn't know anything they talked about and debated. It seem so boring, I couldn't understand the importance of it. I start to think I was self absorbed or narcissistic or something. That my happiness was because of that. Then I start investigate it. And this is so sad. I'm very dedicated when I decide to do something. I find that I was FAR from integrated in collective consciousness so to speak. No wonder I felt slightly naive. I thought I lacked character and that my happiness was due to mania or something. Anyway, I find out that it was IMPOSSIBLE to adopt and become an integrated part of conventional consciousness/society without FEAR and ANGER!!! Can you imagine, I couldn't bring unselfishness, happiness and open-mindedness into it. I started to create fear and anger out of nowhere, just because my dedication to understand society and media in its core. And here I am. I got my answers, I've seen it all now. All the structures, all mechanics behind society/media/politics. It's fair to say it's hell. This is the devil. Price was high, now I can transcend fear and anger again and go back to my happy and natural state of being (which is UNnatural and naive to society/media)
  4. @Outer @Joseph Maynor @SOUL @Leo Gura @Mighty Mouse Thank you guys! It's great to have a place to ask these questions and you see what I mean without explaining any further. Many people are caught up in the drama, or think that identity politics and aversion between groups are natural. The most serious thing about media is how it affect collective consciousness for the worse. Even if I manage to detached completely. I still get "robbed" of all good meetings with people because the shared consciousness is suspicious and egoic instead of open, happy, compassionate. We as self-actualized people need to use strategies not to be affected by toxic media. Imagine the people in general, they don't even see the low consciousness mechanics media use, they just react and adopt to the narratives media put up. And soon we all start to hate each other, ourselves and thinks we will not survive without government and strong power structures. Thats the goal with "divide and conquer" strategy. It's frustrating, because this world could be a paradise. But right know we are wired to think deep bliss, intense compassion, strong love and complete happiness are naive traits in society. It would be judged as mania. It's not mania, it's normal, perfectly normal. It's completely natural to us to feel deep peace, bliss and joy. To view the whole world as sheer beauty. But we are kidnapped, rewired with negativity. Media and authorities own us. Thats sad! Love you guys, thanks for your respond!
  5. Great! I agree to 100% I was joking as well, I don't wanna add to population either, but nothing is right or wrong. Everyone has to decide for themselves.
  6. You're about to open your third eye maybe.
  7. Spot on! I tend to judge others and become full of prejudices when I get to close to Politics/media. Since it pretty much runs by some sort of ego-consciousness-mode at that level of society. Toxic, and as you say, and I can't do anything to bring a change about anyway! Tnx Joseph!
  8. Yeah, thought so too!
  9. Reproducing is not important anymore. But maybe you mean that it's important NOT to reproduce? In that case, I agree! Right now, we are 7.4 BILLION !!!!!!!!! people on the earth. We must reduce that to 2.5 - 3b in order for resources to be enough, to end starvation, and to save the environment! Population control is the most important factor for the earth and us fellow human beings at this stage!
  10. It would be great to always rest in an awareness and understanding that everything that happens is nothing but maya. Some situations when its difficult for me, not saying I don't enjoy those moments, I do, but the Maya-awareness as I call it, seem to be absent. Probably because there's a slightly amount of fear or unconsciousness, just enough to drag me out of this maya-awareness. Here's a few examples. * When I find myself in groups of people, specially those groups where some conventional behaviour is expected. Like in a class room or at work place. it seem like group psychology-instincts pull me out of maya-awareness and puts me is this survival biologic awareness mode instead. * In an intimate situation, where my reproduction hormones or whatever it is tend to pull me out of maya-awareness and into this arousal consciousness where duality seem super real. *Stress in daily mundane life like plannings, planes to catch, bills to pay, when I'm in hurry not being late to meetings etcetera. All of this also robs me of maya-awareness. As awareness raises, one would expected to never lose this maya-awareness, right? Right now it's like a variable in me that's either fully present or not at all.
  11. @adam747 tnx, great advice! Very easy to get lost in thoughts and thinking..
  12. It's quite simple. To be happy...
  13. @Outer You seem pretty smart yourself. You don't lose yourself to sentimental gibberish within spirituality. You stay clear and collective without losing curiosity. Indicates intelligence to me. But who knows really!
  14. @Leo Gura Not all scientists and academic people are narrow minded. This guy has a VERY free role in academia. Thomas Metzinger is the Director of the Philosophy Group at the Department of Philosophy at Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz. His research focuses on philosophy of mind, especially on consciousness and the nature of the self. But Thomas in very involved in neuroscience as well. Many of his colleagues are neuroscientists and he write a lot about the subject in his academic papers. He often refers to Buddhism and spirituality which he draw similarities to. He is not involved personally though, since he's dedicated to science. But to me he's like a bride between academia and spirituality. What do you think of him? In the clip below he discuss his thesis and book "Being no one" (The rubber hand illusion is pretty cool btw, have you tried it? )
  15. Yes, but there is no ONE experiencing that hell. 'There is also infinite bliss, joy and happiness! It's like saying that infinite blue exist within our universe. Of course "blue" will always be represented in the world, so will yellow and all other colours for eternity.
  16. Is this possible? That you are the substance, the consciousness that knows everything(the absolute, awareness), but you are also the human self that's separated from others(the relative, body-mind) yet you are the consciousness that know and experience those others. Could it be like that? You are everything on the absolute level of things, but only a body-mind in the relative level of things
  17. @Shanmugam Very interesting. Thank you! It's still hard to imagine it wasn't more of a friction to go from that stage where you were the happiest man on earth with those loving/friendly traits of yours just to become that somewhat cynical salesman again. Almost like forcing love to be competitive and comparing it looks like. A little bit of sadness arise in me with your story, because you manage to "break" through the relative level of reality so to speak, which is a huge accomplishment given how many people that try very hard but fails. What you experienced is very VERY rare, and you succeed only to find out that you have to go back to the relative reality of things. If finding heaven or that blissful state that you find which might very well be the most difficult task a man can succeed with.. ..at least the reward should greater then a temporarily visit. But this is my perspective, from your perspective you haven't leaved that which you find, you've just harmonised it with the relative level of reality. Cool story, thanks for sharing!
  18. I like the Mouse! Can't get enough of his honesty. Seem like I'm the only one. And even I might not like this "brutal" honesty if it was part of a friendship irl. It shows how pathetic we are as humans I guess. Relationships are built on lies, at least to some degree. The whole point of self-actualization is to be fully yourself. We work to finally manage to be fully ourselves, just to find out it's not allowed to be fully yourself.. We are forced to be derivatives of those who we really are. It's sad, but that's how it goes I guess..
  19. Well, it might seem rather obvious, since they find truth they can rest it and nothing rock their boat so to speak! But let us make a comparison with art. Art is also about finding God or truth. Many people become enlightened trough art not even knowing there is a concept for these experiences. However, the art world is full of mental disorders. Just the other day I was listening at a radio station that plays classical music, and covered the work of one particular composer. I don't remember the name, but he was one of the well known composers in history, just below the giants or Bach, Beethoven and Mozart. Anyway, he faced depression in many occasion throughout life, one of his depressions lasted for 5 years where he wasn't able to do anything basically. Also, those giants mentioned above, one can argue that all of them had mental disorders, at least Beethoven who would have had bi polar disorder if he lived to day. But Mozart were highly childish throughout life, had no capability to handle money and face difficulties with when life demanded responsible behaviour. Bash was probably the most sane of those mentioned here. But he had 20 children and was a social catastophe. And look at those painters. Was it Rembrandt who cut his ears of? Salvador Dali was awkward, Picasso was notorious disloyal to his wives, and he had no interests in his own children and grandchildren. Take a look at writers. Dostojevski had severe gambling addiction, Hemingway was an alcoholic and committed suicide. Stig Dagerman(most famous writer is Sweden) killed also committed suicide, so did Karin Boyd(another famous Swedish writer) Take a look at music industry. There is a club, called club 27. Some of the greatest musicians died at that age. Jimmy Hendrix(drugs), Janis Joplin(drugs), Jim Morrison(drugs), Curt Cobain(suicide) and the list goes on. But with spiritual people it's different, although there is a huge link between art and spirituality. All those we like to listening to, Mooji, Tolle, Leo, Sadhguru, Spira etcetera seem like polar opposites to the highly respected artists regarding mental stability. Coincidence?
  20. @Shanmugam You claim to be enlightened, so here's a question for you. When someone is enlightened to a point where he can and consider Mahasamadhi as an option. This might happen when no "doing" is no longer worthwhile compare to just "be" Just to be, to rest in pure infinite awareness triumph everything that you can possible do as a human/body-mind. At this stage, Mahasamadhi seem reasonable. However, does it ever happens that enlightened beings that reach this highest stage of enlightenment, instead decide to decrease consciousness instead of choosing Mahasamadhi? If he start working on decreasing his level of awareness, using tricks to create anger and fear in him to the point that "doing" becomes worthwhile again. When he has decreased his consciousness to a lower state he might find interest in seeking out for pleasure again like chasing casual sex, friendships, having a family, a carrier or something else that imply doing? You see what I mean?
  21. Mouse, didn't you know that everything is paradoxical? There's no profound truth such that the polar opposite is not true as well.
  22. Of course not. But we're not normies, we are spiritual junkies! I've contemplated these questions for many years, just like most of us at this forum. And it make a difference to how I experience and think about life. But those situations mentioned in OP seem just as "unconscious" as they always been. Not that I suffers from it. It just seem as if we are hardwired in a way that in certain situations all of my spiritual understanding is shut off/absent. How is it for you?
  23. Why accepting the present moment, that's duality, and will never be satisfying. BE the present moment, don't add positive or negative connotations to it! Then there is flow with what ever is, not even flow, it's just what is, beyond any concept of good/bad, positive/negative
  24. Too bad the investment is so high if you want to have everything there is. You don't want to find out that you put the money on the wrong horse when the investment is your whole life. But that's how it goes I guess. You can't have it all if your not prepared to go all in.
