Adjust means future which means ego. Just be and see what happens? What ever life wants from you will arise. Your need to plan future or adjust sounds like ego to me. -

@Joseph Maynor lol, Joseph, I love you! Your thread is legit. But if you start a thread with "’I've been studying philosophy heavily lately"... ...you realise that all members of Actualized.org reads "’I've been doing mental masturbation heavily lately" You are so clueless sometimes. But you have so many good traits, you're intelligent, with good work ethics and integrity. That's why we, at least I, love you. Your a complex character among all normies. -

All people are grey, a mixed bag of white(God) and black(Hell)! (metaphorically speaking) What people don't know is that the good feelings in life comes from themselves exclusively. And analogy, the bad stuff in life comes from the outside, from the world. People love relationships, material goods etcetera, but people just project their own love and happiness on to those objects. They don't realise that it's not the objects and other subjects that deliver the happiness, love and beauty to them. It's themselves that deliver those positive feelings. Or rather, they already ARE that happy state in their core. Peel of the worldly garbage that has infiltrated your soul, and you will become that CORE!! But instead, people project those happy feelings on to these objects/subjects and wrongly give credit to them, not themselves, for the joy and happiness in their lives. That's why people continue to chase things they want(think they want) in their lives, when they really only want themselves. The world on the other hand, won't let you to be yourself fully. And the more you chase things in the world(chasing yourself), the more unhappy you become. The more dark grey your soul-colour become. The more dense your soul become. Do yourself a favour, find out for yourself that you already have all the joy, happiness, love, bliss, beauty inside yourself, you ARE that. Then you can use the world to SHARE that, not to CHASE that. BE/KNOW YOURSELF AND BECOME LOVE. BE/KNOW THE WORLD AND BECOME A MISERY. SONG: This world is just illusion always trying to change you! -
...that meditation can't?

We hate these words by now, but its true nevertheless... ...we are infinite oneness, infinite bliss and happiness, infinite love and beauty, perfect wholesomeness. Isn't that great? Deep down, the truth of who we really are is always perfect, almost too much of positive emotions, pure love. Now, as a contrast, we have the capacity to forget about our true nature and become derivatives of ourselves. All of a sudden we experience something different then ourself, we experience separateness. And as separate entities (although illusionary), we experience sex, hate, fighting, competition, art, science, literature, humor, sport, music, power, laughter etcetera And when we are fed up with this duality game, we can trace ourself back to our true nature, just as we do here. And start remembering our true nature again. And once again, when we are "fed up" with the frictionless perfectionistic nondual bliss that we are in essence, we can decide to forget ourself yet again, just to play yet a new game of separateness! Wow, this is too good to be true, it's even better then "too good" because we can transcend that "too good" to play these partly suffering games of duality in order to have a certain dynamics to our lives experiences through out eternity. Words of wisdom presented to you by the temporary separate mind of Markus from the illusionary country of Sweden.

What is your relationship to laughter? For me it feels like something important that I welcome in everyday life, specially in social contexts. It unites, lower stress levels, friction between different wants and needs smooths out, people smile to each other etcetera. When a good joke comes around and everybody cracks, that's almost a non dual happening, like a feeling that we are the same spirit, there is belonging attached to laughter/humour. It like humour are like a tool to pull duality closer to its non dual source. It puts the ego to rest in some degree. However, when I spend time in solitude with deep connection with the source, when I have that meditative feeling, when there is peace and happiness(not a laughing happiness, but a feeling of joy), then I have no interest in humour. Then Humour/laughter is more like a stressful thing, like a reminder of duality/ego, a reminder of the absurdity and irregularities of reality. And that's disturbing when you are at complete ease and feel like everything is whole, complete and perfect as it is. Humour/laugher feels like an interruption from the feelings of love/beauty that pure awareness is accompanied by. Anyone agree with me, feel free to elaborate.

Are you a fan of Putin? He seem to have integrity and honesty that your leaders in west are lacking.

@snowleopard hm, I was thinking that laughter might be a result when the mind "cracks" so to speak. If you think about it, every time when you have an active mind(duality), in a social context for example, you are focusing and concentrating on the world(surrounding)...then if something is said or happening that abrupt the mind in a way that the thought process become discontinued, a little gap in the mind so to speak aka laughter. If there is no plausible or coherent next thought to a given present thought, the mind might crack for a milli second and get a taste of "no mind" which might result in laughter, that's why we like it so much, because it's a temporarily relief from the state of mind. A millisecond of pure awareness before the mind get what happened/was said. On the other hand, when you are already in a "no mind" state, maybe you are just beyond space and time listening to your favourite music with a glas of wine, then laughter might be disturbance for you, because laughter reminds you that it had its origin, its start from a place of mind. Is this just mental masturbation and too theoretical, or do you find anything valuable in my gibberish? -

@Faceless Any explanation of the whole must include the explanation of itself? Is that possible? -

what do you mean? Two civilisations? -
MarkusSweden replied to MarkusSweden's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Very true, but even after that switch, when science admits that consciousness is the fundamental essence.. ..Still, can you imagine that science in that new paradigm ever to come up with a method more effective then pure resting in consciousness aka meditation? After all, consciousness can never be better grasped then when it's resting in itself? An even more interesting question is "How would snowleopard survive without the word "fixated"? -

@Dodo You can take Dodo out of the source, but you can't take the source out of Dodo. -

That's great definition! You get it! I wrote a thread about heaven and hell yesterday btw, "The discrepancy is infinite!" Dodo, I love trains! Your title is great "Stillnes on the train". That's poetry right where. Kenny Rogers sings about a friendly meeting with a man on a warm summer's evenin' on a train bound for nowhere! It has a "trainy" feeling to it I believe! -
nah, I'll will create a Self-Actualization Journal and make another 1500 or so. It probably takes about 1700 posts before one become wise like you. I know it's hard work though, I guess I have to tell everything about what I eat, what exercise I do, how I feel, what clothes I buy and wear, meditation habits, relation/family issues and other highly interesting stuff. You spend you time wisely with telling us, and your uncountable number of followers can't be thankful enough. All I can do is to watch and learn.

Speaking of Osho.. ..do you think the world/society let him speak his mind and live his life? Osho didn't just talk.. HE LIVED! He danced, he laughed, he loved, he mocked people(kindly), he influenced people, he let himself be crazy(in a good way) You think the world let people like that live? Osho was a "no mind" so no one could kill(psychologically) or silencing him. They had to poison him and killed him physically to get rid of him. It's too depressing to be true, yet it is.. -
