Drinks again to cure his anxiety and hangover. 4. Gets an even worse hangover and more anxiety. 5. Drinks again and so on. 6. Alcoholic has created an addiction. 7. Addiction leads to bad health. 8. Keeps drinking to forget his health problems. 9. Dies. Solution: Dont drink to cure hangover/anxiety or even better dont drink at all.

Why would it be a sign of trauma? You havent given anything to back up that claim? Maybe some people just feel its too much responsibility and they want to focus on other things like travelling, purpose, charity.
