Honestly, tell your self to shut up and give up. Surrender. Realize that your thoughts are literally full of shit, rest on a bunch of assumptions, and actually come from biased place. It's hard to get to that place without a direct realization of it though. So... have you tried LSD? cause thats what did it for me. you just gotta run around in circles until you get so tired of it and realize how much it actually traps you vs freeing you and helping you see the truth. Philosophy is cool to enhance models and concepts to help the mind understand or to communicate it, but otherwise its like trying to catch water with a bucket that has a hole in it. you gotta give yourself into Being, simple as that. -
Thanks!

Mussels are great! I eat them since they are part of my culture when it comes to seafood. Insects are gross though, Im not eating them. Ethically it doesn't make me feel better because I am still eating a living thing. Me prioritizing a chickens life over insects or even plants for that matter is arbitrary. Not to mention, I care about fitting in a social setting and being cohesive. Being Vegan is already a challenge in itself. Imagine me bringing insects to thanksgiving? lol. Those arguments are not compelling enough to have me insects. I mean mealworms? the fact that I am disgusted at the sight of them already indicates that its not for me.

Why don't you just try it? 5-meo that is. materialist paradigm doesn't make sense to me. How does the brain create consciousness, if the brain exists within consciousness? I don't really feel like a software program is analogous to consciousness, it's more analogues to your sensory experience whereas hardware is the physical components of those experiences. The sensory experience is not consciousness itself, although its made of consciousness, its happening within awareness/consciousness. I assume you confusing are consciousness with actual sensory information, but you gotta question where that sensory information is taking place... Even if you do believe in materialism, consider how everything comes from within you or within the brain. The brain is creating its sensory experience and the external world, but because that is literally grounded in nothing, its almost a circular experience and can be concluded as an illusion or dream because there's no ground! The materialist paradigm fails at conceptualizing consciousness because it is literally empty, boundless, "space". If you have a deep psychedelic experience, you will see the contents within consciousness "space" such as sensory experience is akin to an illusion, you will actually sense that nothingness within your sensory experience and come to realize it is as real as a dream experiences - because its all consciousness. hence why Leo says that reality = fantasy, Life = Death, because it actually infused within one another. Like yin-yang. -
Psychedelics are great at infusing sameness and difference. I've played guitar on a high dose of LSD and have had trouble playing because different notes started to sound the same. BTW @Leo Gura you mentioned in the video that there is scientific evidence (statistical data) of paranormal OR psychic phenomena, I forgot which is it. Would you be able to link those articles on this thread or on your blog? I'd love to see them.

How do you know your imagination does not have sort some of influence on your bodies chemistry in the physical world? How do you know there is not another side to physical reality that can be directly influenced via imagination? Look, I have not tried Kriya yoga myself nor do I practice techniques related to chakras, but you gotta open-minded to these various ideas, thats all. Leo is not asking you to blindly believe him, he is sharing what practices are helping him grow, and what I do believe is that Leo is a person who is being honest about his experience. If the practice does not work for you then just practice regular meditation. I personally have loads of psychedelic experiences and have recognized there is a lot more to reality than just what is being physically seen. The physical world is just ONE side to the human experience. I can see that you would like scientific proof, but there simply isn't (yet) because the funding nor the motivation is there, but that does not invalidate the technique nor the experience of people who practice the technique. Your simply going to have to try it out yourself and see whether imaging chakras creates some sort of difference in how you organize your emotions. There are some models and theories that we hold emotions and energies in our body ---> look at Wilhelm Reich's work on bio-energetics. -
It's possible Leo is moving towards vegetarianism/veganism, but its also just as possible that he is not. I am not vegan because I have not seen evidence that has convinced me that going 100% plant based is safe in the sense that taking pills that cover Vitamin B12 and Omega 3 DHA & EPA are actual healthy replacements to naturally occurring nutrients within fish and meat. I worry about synthetic sources of vitamins. I have definitely started to eat more plant based though - broccoli, kale, beans, seeds, fruits, but I still eat meat, especially cause I still live at home with parents. I will just wait for more studies on vegan diet. It's also not for everyone, I know someone with Crohn's disease who cannot intake the amount of fiber vegan intake, can't eat raw vegetables either. His body is more cohesive to eggs, dairy, and meat.

Leo doesn't ask us to blindly believe man. Where has Leo said, "blindly believe me!" ? -
LOL what Leo is saying in that video is not Solipsism. Edit: Just gonna repost what @SoonHei posted in the other thread.

So true man!

Holy shit!... you said sneak up on us. Have you tripped with others before? Amazing songwriter. -

Well definitely try playing music because it is very unique experience as a musician. I've never tried in the dark, but I imagine it would be fun and introspective. You can also try using a blindfold. James Fadiman recommends listening to instrumental music and using a blindfold. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Fadiman -

Meditate, contemplate, and ask questions - specifically simple questions like what is love as mentioned in Leo's previous video. I definitely think the writing down aspect helps get some organization in there. Do you play an instrument? Playing an instrument is great, I've had some incredible experiences doing that. or you can listen to music. Take a walk on the comedown and contemplate some more. There's not really a lot you can do, just enjoy the experience. -
haha! Follow your heart! A suggestion? maybe break it into two. that way you can release the second half this Sunday. I don't know about everyone else, but I'm on vacation so I got time and am looking forward to it. I am curious as to what the topic is this week!

Wealth is helpful to obtain stuff that can definitely enhance life. I definitely enjoy my music more when I have a high quality set of headphones or sound system and that can easily cost $1000 or more. I really like Osho in this regard because he doesn't shame money or wealth. There is nothing wrong with money or wealth, they help expand one's ability to do things like attend college. I understand we are talking about an expensive watch (not a necessity), I'm just saying. I would not spend too much energy being frustrated with other's people lifestyle. People have their own reasons for living the way they do, we can sit here and argue whether one is more fulfilling or not, but our understanding isn't really helpful to your friend's if it just doesn't click with him. I have a friend who LOVES movies. He watches youtube-based videos to keep up with the industries, who's directing whats, who's acting in what movie, etc. While I think movies can be great and entertaining, they also feel hollow and not as fulfilling as say going on a hike, taking some LSD, finishing a good book. But its just how it is. If I went up to him and told him, he's living his life wrong, he should be meditating and doing self-development, he'd look at me like I had a million eyes and tell me "No! Sgt. Pepper, you got it all wrong, these Marvel movies will change your life, they're so epic!" Anyways, just worry about yourself. Who cares what others do (to an extent). Do what you want and let the joy in. Generally speaking here. It's also fun to inquire and consider why other people live the way they do, but from a curious open-minded stand point. That's why I watched all the marvel movies cause a lot of my friends asked me and I enjoy connecting with them. I did not find as much joy as my friends did in watching Infinity War, but I found joy in connecting with them.

you're gonna love it! Vipassana has great advice and I 100% agree with it but ill add what I know. 1. I agree with Vipassana on this, 2g is a great beginners dose. 2. This is difficult to say, a trip sitter is helpful if you have anxiety and can help relax you, but they can also be distracting. I think tripping alone is best when it comes to wanting to produce insights. 3. Just have a day after the trip to process it and you should be totally fine! 4. Nah. You got it dude. It will eventually subside, just remember that if you feel overwhelmed. 5. My tip is just to be open minded, accept it, and breathe. I would also say when it comes to mushrooms, in my experience, that it kinds of hits hard initially but then gets really smooth and playful after, so just roll with it and breathe. -
Actually my mistake it was during Hawaii retreat: https://www.actualized.org/insights/hawaii-retreat-intro - 3:45 he shows his fridge. he has eggs and bacon - definitely not vegan haha. he says he doesn't normally eat bacon, but during his retreats, he lets himself slide. he also mentions that rice and chicken is a staple for dinner.
-
he definitely eats meat cause I've seen meat in his fridge during his 30 day retreat. He had bacon and chicken.
-
48 hours welp, I'm looking forward to it !
-
Absolutely. I have had many times where I just spoke to myself alone in order to process my own difficult child hood experiences. hehe. Thank you for your kind of words.

You're scared of exposing yourself. See a therapist/sex therapist or take some LSD.
