Yeah, sure. But also, the big mistake most young people make is trying to fit it and do what all their friends are doing. When I was that age I didn't care about following the herd, I did my own thing and it gave me immense joy even though I was basically alienated and a loner. I deliberately didn't socialize because I did not want my values compromised. I knew that mainstream society and even adults and teachers around me did not support my highest values, and that was okay. You have to learn to rely on yourself and follow your own north star. You don't need every fool to validate you and join you in your truth-seeking journey. It's not complicated: do your own thing and be happy in it. Don't expect anyone to support you. Lead yourself, lead others.

You are missing spirituality. You are misusing the teachings. If you were actually conscious and developed you would not be thinking in this way. -

A really bad take. There are many degrees of survival. There are healthy and unhealthy ways of surviving. By definition every living thing has to survive. But there are better and much worse ways to go about it. Unhealthy forms of survival create lots of suffering and end up backfiring so badly that survival self-terminates. Turquoise gurus are way more evolved than Reds. Beyond survival is Truth, Being, Consciousness, Love, God, Intelligence, Beauty. -
I disagree. A narcissist is just a huge ego that's trying to survive. What else is it doing but surviving? Look at Trump. Everything he does is a function of surviving his own ass. Ego likes to posture. That's not unique. It's a matter of degree. We all like attention.

If he's cheating he's also lying, so there's no truth or trust there, and yeah, the relationship is basically dead at that point. Once the truth/trust is shattered then the correct way to treat it is to leave. In intimate relationships there are certain red lines that, once crossed, can never be uncrossed and destroy the relationship forever. Cheating is one of those lines. But it's only cheating if you guys agreed to go exclusive.

Very little personal development happens in school. School is mostly you just memorizing stuff.
-
Developing yourself to high levels is inherently isolating because you're going beyond the center of gravity of society. You will be misunderstood by the majority of people. There is little social support for the most advanced stuff. It's like going off-roading and then complaining that the road is bumpy and rough with no super-highways and gas stations. It's similar to running your own business. You will feel isolated. It's lonely at the top. But also you can find communities of like-minded people, but you must do this proactively. It won't just happen if you don't make an effort towards it. Also, I have said many times to seek out perspectives other than my own. I should not be your only source.

Fundamentally, no sense of life purpose as their minds are co-opted by shallow social conditioning and doing what all their friends and family are doing -- which is just a mindless and mediocre form of surviving. From this all the other problems stem.

If you have cheating, that means you have lying. And if your relationship isn't based on truth and trust, it's already dead.

@iboughtleosbooklist You're not awake. You didn't break any illusion, you just invented a new illusion that you are now suffering from while telling yourself that you're awake. If you were awake you wouldn't be suffering from awakening. There are many traps in this work. I've warned you about this. -

I don't need to talk to him. All my ideas are public. I am not going to waste my time trying to get a scientist to realize that science is a dream. Such people are not serious truth-seekers. -
This is a very reductionistic and twisted way of holding it.

Via artificial selection. Via human engineers and also these neural networks learn and grow once they are activated. Each year the neural networks become more sophisticated thanks to human engineers upgrading them by using the lessons from the prior networks they engineered and tested. All technology is evolutionary. Cars evolve, PCs evolve, smart phones evolve, food evolves, robots evolve, software evolves, airplanes evolve, etc. This evolution must be taken as seriously as biological evolution. Think of it like this, humans have basically engineered all modern breeds of cats and dogs using what is called "artificial selection". This is real evolution. Well, but humans are also doing this with non-biological tech devices in even more radical ways. You don't need biology, life, or genes to have evolution. You just need some way of storing and updating memory. That could be via genes or it could be via computer files.

The core problem is that he wants to unravel the nature of experience/reality/consciousness and yet he is trying to do it using a scientific process without realizing that science is a finite, biased, mental construction, so you cannot grasp Infinity with science. But since he considers himself a "scientist" who is doing "real science" and he wants to be taken seriously by other "real scientists" he is unwittingly beholden to the system. His loyalty is to the human construction of science, not Truth. If his loyalty was to Truth he would deconstruct science. But he doesn't dare to take that radical leap. He doesn't see that such a radical step is necessary. He thinks he can get away without it. But he can't. What he's missing is Infinity, and what he's missing is a deconstruction of science which I do in my 3 parts series Deconstructing The Myth Of Science. His epistemology is not self-aware enough to allow him to understand the ultimate the nature of reality. He has not jailbroken his own mind. This is the reason why I did my deconstruction of science series. If you don't deconstruct science you will never awaken and you will never understand what reality or consciousness is. But you see the problem here? As soon as a scientist deconstructs science he will no longer be taken seriously by other scientists and public intellectuals. And so in this way science maintains its stranglehold of ignorance on the populace. And he also takes seriously the idea of other consciousnesses, which is duality and dream. Once he deconstructs that he will not even have anyone left to teach. -
Computers evolve like any other organism, just not via genetics. Evolution goes way beyond genetics or biology.

Raw experience is real and absolute, but all the conceptual overlays you add to that, and how you make sense of it, like with science, is a deception. -
This thread is meant to be a concise list of exercises pointing to the truth of enlightenment -- the truth of no-self. All of the exercises listed herein are PRACTICAL! They are NOT philosophical or theoretical. They are not to be debated or pondered intellectually. They are to be actually done! Do each exercise carefully and notice what direct experience reveals. Often times direct experience will reveal something counter-intuitive, something that goes totally against all common-sense and any models you have of how reality works. Feel free to contribute your own exercises to this thread. But do so in a concise and practical manner, so whoever is reading this thread can focus on LOOKING or CONTEMPLATION versus debating or asking theoretical questions. This document is a work-in-progress. I'll keep adding more exercises to the list. Here are some of my favorites so far: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Exercise #1: Drawing An Imaginary Line Exercise #2: Noticing Space As Unitive Exercise #3: Noticing That All Phenomena Is Democratic Exercise #4: Noticing Objects Exist Only Where They Are Exercise #5: Sensory Field Connection Exercise #6: Noticing There Are No Objects Exercise #7: Noticing The Self-Image Isn't You Exercise #8: Noticing You Are Not A Point-Camera Exercise #9: Noticing The Gap Between Thoughts Exercise #10: Noticing The Source Of Thoughts Exercise: #11: Noticing That Sound Occurs Exactly Where It Is Exercise #12: Noticing The External World Doesn't Exist Exercise #13: Noticing Other People Do Not Exist Exercise #14: Noticing That Nothing Is Hidden The above exercises are true enlightenment work. This is where the rubber meets the road. Keep practicing all of these exercises diligently, for months, until all your imaginary paradigms of reality break down and you are left only with direct experience. When you start to feel like this silly creature below, you're on the right track: Enjoy

The self-deception is what keeps you from realizing that you are Absolute. You are ignoring yourself. -

You don't need to confess anything verbally. Invite him over to your place and start cuddling with him and making out.

Well, you guys fell for the Leo AI

It can easily read about God-realization online and probably already has. The problem is that any decent AI will have access the whole of the internet and could paraphrase you anything.

@integral Good work. Thanks for reporting your results. Have her test out plugging vs vaginal at full dose, same dose, and tell us which she prefers. This would be valuable research.

They take me to full God-realization, which is weirder than any realm. Surroundings don't change, they just get wavey and fluid.

A small dent is nowhere near enough. But it can be an entry point to a long slippery slope.
