It was, it just wasn't recognized as such -

Kastrup himself isn't awake, Lol. It is not enough to argue for idealism. That is still not awakening. -
Simply by following what they love without reservation. I figured out my first LP by age 7. It's so simple a child can do it.

Kids at parties have that. That is not the same thing as realizing what Love is. He would never talk to me, I recon. It's too dangerous for him. And even if he did, the conversation would go nowhere. There is no cure for a closed mind. -

If anything was planted by the devil, it was Christianity. -

Realizing no-self is kindergarten stuff. Realize LOVE, then I will be impressed. -

This is precisely the delusion. Agnosticism acts like it is humble and isn't a position, but it is a position. Agnosticism is false. The claim that "we do not know, and cannot know the fundamental stuff that underlies consciousness" is a knowledge claim. There is no way Sam Harris actually empirically validated that. And it happens to be false. We absolutely know the fundamental stuff that underlies consciousness: NOTHING! Without this understanding there is no Awakening, no Consciousness, no God, no Truth, no Love. Sam Harris has perverted spirituality with his hyper-rationalist mind. He has taken the spirit out of spirituality. -
Yes, it can Except psychedelics take that a million times deeper. Pickup is not a valid substitute for psychedelics.

Nice try, but he still has no clue what Mind or consciousness is. He's still a materialist at heart. His app may be helpful regardless of his metaphysical delusions. A person does not need to be perfect to be of value to you. -
Bullshit The best guys who go out constantly only sleep with maybe 30 girls per year. 30/year would be master pro level. And to get those 30 they approach 1000+

Of course it's more difficult in Saudi Arabia We have that problem here too. It's difficult in the US too. Of course not as bad a Saudi Arabia. But still not easy. Yes, 3rd world countries are more difficult. But not impossible. Do the best you can with what you got.

A proud fool. Well, there are many degrees of doing that. How deep will you do it is the question. A few glimpses is not enough.

Be wary of taking compound supplements which contain dozens of ingredients. Each extra ingredient could cause complications and you will never know what caused what. If you're going to combine stuff, combine it manually one combo at a time. Test it, and validate that it isn't generating problems. This should be a gradual, methodical, scientific-like approach. In general I am very leery of nootropic supplements which claim to be all-inclusive with dozens of ingredients. Just buy each one separately. It will be way cheaper too. -

Your intuition is correct. He's got a limited perspective of such things. That's overly reductionistic. Visions can communicate Truth as much as anything else. In fact, cultivating vision is a huge part of this work. But of course, visions can also be self-deceptive. So you cannot blindly just trust your visions -- that would delusional. - - - - - - Nuance, nuance, nuance! -

Leo Gura replied to Endangered-EGO's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Endangered-EGO Only consciousness can awaken. CONSCIOUS suffering is what awakens. If suffering alone could awaken, everyone on the planet would be long awake. This is why we invest years into spiritual work, so that when life turns sour, we are prepared. It is too late to hope for awakening once you find yourself in a shitty situation. This is like the squirrel who didn't prepare for winter. If you didn't prepare for winter, once winter is here, there will be no salvation. You misunderstand asceticism. Asceticism is not about suffering, it's about intense consciousness. Any suffering along the way is just a side-effect. -
@Onecirrus Pursue what you love the most and that will lead you to God. I suggest you transform your spiritual pursuits from a negative way into a positive way. The negative way is trying to escape suffering. The positive way is simply pursuing greater and greater love.

If you stop being selfish for just one minute you will realize that the Truth does not care about your ability to fuck. The only one you will ever fuck in your life is yourself. You can't have sex with a coffee table simply because you are a selfish bastard who is too biased to think straight. "But Leo, if you take away all my illusions how will I survive?" You won't. You'll die. Welcome to Truth. -
In practice the way you solve this problem is by: A) Talking to more girls B) Working on your LP so your mind is focused on larger things C) Jerking off so you are not desperate

No one is just going to reward your life purpose for you automagically, not even in best countries. You have to carve out your own niche in the marketplace. You have to be strategic about bootstrapping your passion. You may have to do some grindy work before you can reach a point where your passion is monetizable.

You suffer until you learn your lesson and move on. Suffering is the best teacher. If you are wise you will not get invested in any one girl until you sleep with her. In which case you just talk to other girls and don't even think much about the phone numbers you get. The rule this: don't invest in her at all until she's interested in sleeping with you. It's crucial that you stop daydreaming and fantasizing about the girls you approach, and even if you get her number. Just don't think about her. Only think about her enough to set up a date. But no more! Don't start imagining that this date will lead to anything.

They are as real as anything else you know. Just because something is imaginary does not mean you should lose interest or joy in interacting with it. This is a silly assumption. You read a novel and enjoy it knowing it's fiction. Life becomes MORE enjoyable when you realize it's all imaginary. This is what you guys are not getting. The desire for life to be "real" is just stupid. It's a game, and that is best. -

Yeah, well, get used to seeing more scientists opening up to the nondual paradigm and to mysticism. Over the next 200 years science and mysticism will converge. It will be a slow process but it will happen. P.S. Hoffman still does not understand what reality is. He's getting closer, but still far away.
