Of course there would have to be safeguards and a process. The nice thing about prisons is that you got 100% cameras everywhere and you could record audio too. Also, keep in mind that I'm talking about how to create the ideal system. I'm not so much focused on what the system is currently. To me the key question here is how do we want our ideal prison system to be? What should be we build towards? Yes, there is corruption in the current system, but that will be ironed out as we develop it. Think of it this way: if our whole society was at Stage Yellow, how would our prison system look? And what I'm saying is that we could still have a death penalty in that Yellow system. But in a Yellow system corruption would be far far less.

Well, then you know that I'm Tier 1.

I think caretaking and housing extremely deranged people is an unfair burden on decent, hard-working, honest people. Do you really want to design a system when the caretakers are as nasty as the criminals? No, you want a humane prison system. But for a humane prison system you need to weed out the worst of the worst. I would even be in favor of the death penalty for criminals who did not commit murder, but are so violent and abusive in prison that they are a nightmare to handle. Some kind of 3 strikes policy where if you act abusively towards the staff or inmates, you get axed. The issue here is really one of concern for the staff who have to deal with these monsters. And yes, some of them are monsters. So what I'm for is minimizing the harm and danger towards the staff and creating a non-abusive prison environment where the good criminals can be rehabilitated. You need some process of sorting the redeemable from the irredeemable criminals.

You guys are missing the point of this thread. The issue was whether Yellow can support the death penalty. I think that has been answered. I'm really not attached to the position itself. If you want to hug a psychopath, go ahead.
-
I honestly don't care about retribution.
-
I agree that is a problem. But also consider why the gaurds become assholes in first place: because they have to in order to successfully deal with assholes and survive at that job. Cops are tough because they deal with a lot of shit every day.

We should kill people who drive loud motorcycles in the morning
-
1) If they are overly dangerous, maybe we should kill them. 2) But generally, if they didn't harm anyone then it would be unfair to kill them. Firstly, PTSD is not the only factor. Secondly, you need way more gaurds and support staff than executioners.

Cheers for the openmindedness. Pickup does look weird from the female perspective.

Haha, dude, it's a job already. I spent 12hrs this weekend creating some amazing art via just tinkering with settings. It's totally art. I'm calling it now, any artist who does not leverage this amazing tool is a fool and an irresponsible artist. These AI can be used to make art so much better. But it isn't easy. It takes serious work and creativity. I already created at least a dozen new thumbnails for future videos, and they are better than any thumbnails I have so far. My thumbnails will be stunning.
-
That is a good point, however you'd have to compare that to the PTSD and abuse workers receive over 50 years of housing a psychopath.

Vets euthanize thousands of animals. This would be easier than that cause this ain't no innocent dog.
-
I think we can make our system solid enough that innocent people won't be executed.

Read my post above. This is not mostly about money.

On principle I do not want to babysit an asshole for 50 years. This is unfair to us, the decent people. This is not really even an economic matter. Decent humans will have to put up with 50 years of bullshit and abuse to house this asshole. Do you get that? You wanna be the guy who deals with that asshole for 50 years? Brings him food, cleans his bed when he shits in it, wipe his blood off the walls, offers him therapy, does his medical exams, guards his cell? Where is your compassion for the emotional abuse all the decent caretakes have to endure from these psychopaths? The element here you're missing is how difficult these psychos can be to house safely. Watch some videos of psychos running amok in high security prisons. It's an awful environment to work in. These psychos can fashion weapons out for a spoon and stab you in the eye. Lol, you guys with your absurd strawmans.

I don't claim all autism can be cured. I think there are various causes and forms of it. It's obvious that genetics AND environment play important roles. But I know for a fact that my doctor has protocols that help many kids who show autistic symptoms. One of those protocols is heavy metal detox. And there are others. He has good success rates. My doc is super super anti-vaxx. He told me many times not to take the Covid vaccine. I disagreed with him on the Covid vaccine and I think I was proven right by the data. Traditional vaccines are more problematic because they contain mercury, which is 100% a neurotoxin in ANY quantity. You cannot argue that mercury is safe to put into a child's body. This is scientifically incorrect. But! You must weigh that danger against the danger of the spread of serious deseases like polio or small pox.

But sanctity of life was violated by the criminal in this case. For breaking that princinple there is a fair punishment. Why let bullies exploit your kindness? Good Lord. What a ridiculous strawman. I was talking about the most extreme murderers and psychopaths who are beyond help. If Stage Red is open to evolving then we create avenues to redeem them.
-
That would be my approach to 95% of cases. But then 5% would be people who are beyond help. You guys act like I want to execute every criminal. No! Just the absolute worst ones.
-
Obviously that's super wrong. Even imprisoning political opponents is wrong unless they broke serious laws. I am okay with executing terrorist masterminds like Bin Landen as long as we got good evidence he planned it.
-
The message is a very healthy one: If you don't respect life, we will treat you in kind, and you will feel your karma and get your justice. We don't pussyfoot with assholes and bullies.
-
I'm not interested in making him suffer. That would not be a conscious desire. I just don't feel we have to service him for 50 years. Taking care of a guy for 50 years is a huge favor to him, and it's not deserved if he's an asshole. Death is the reaping of what he sowed. A simple and elegant solution to a dangerous being. By that logic there shouldn't be any punishments for any behavior. It just doesn't work in practice. Society must treat people like they are responsible for their actions. Taking responsibility is a huge aspect of personal development. So yes, you are responsible if you murder someone. And if you believe you aren't, well, then we are also not responsible by killing you, so you got nothing to complain about. Again, watch those double standards.
-
It's not like my position is some absolute right one. It's just my opinion. There is no correct answer on this matter. I think you guys take some of my opinions way too seriously, as if it's my way or no way at all. Ultimately we could build a good system with or without a death penalty. It's not a big deal.
-
Yeah, well, that's wrong. I know a doctor where half his business is just curing autistic kids. If it was simply genetic then you couldn't cure it and also you wouldn't have so much more autism today than ever before. Environmental toxins are a huge factor for triggering genetic sensitivities.
-
Obviously that needs to be fixed.
-
Both really. It's not emotional vengeance, it's justice. Why should a human be allowed to kill many others and get away with his life? Makes no sense. You reap what you sow. Karma. If you kill a bunch of civilians we have no obligation to be nice to you. You didn't value life, so then your life also has no value. Tis only fair. Again, this is the classic example of Stage Red exploiting Stage Green compassion. Green is so soft to know how to handle Red properly, therefore Red ends up exploiting Green until Green runs dry. You have compassion for these Reds at a distance. But if you actually had to live with them in close proximity, they would totally exploit and bully you until you lost your shit.
