Of course it does. But it's all been horribly corrupted and sidelined for mainstream trash religion. It's like diving for pearls in a sea of liquid shit. This is Jordan Peterson's career in a nutshell, and he will drown in it before he realizes God -
I used to game on a combo of Modafinil + coffee. It certainly boosts verbals, creativity, and energy. But I would rather game on DMT.

Yes, but it's got pros and cons. Don't overlook the cons, like massive group-think. It brings both joys and sorrows. I wouldn't want a large social circle. What you lose in sex you gain in other areas.

Well, there is an even deeper level of self-comprehension which is beyond verbal, logical, or even symbolic. There is direct consciousness of yourself as God. This level of comprehension is so radical it's hard to describe. It is the moment of awakening itself. It is God awakening to itself. Verbal and logical comprehension is limited but still useful as it resolves certain divisions and confusions in your human mind. For example, you have questions like "What is death?", "Where did reality come from?", "Do other people exist?", "Why do I suffer?", etc. So it is good to get clear verbal and logical answers to those questions so they are completed and laid to rest. There is a process in which the highest non-verbal comprehension is then translated into some kind of verbal/logical comprehension which fits the human life better. Of course something is always lost in translation, but the translation can still be very useful. This translation process is part of growing spiritually as a human, because you cannot sustain the highest states of consciousness as a human. But you can bring back insights and wisdom and use those to guide your life. Which is the whole point of religious texts. -

Yes, that's exactly correct. Because communication can only happen using mental imagery and symbolism your mind is familiar with. God has no problem speaking to you in Swahili, but you would not understand it. So God will speak to you in whatever language you understand best, like music. God could speak to you through a squawking bird. But this requires you really appreciate the squawking bird and recognize it as God. For example, I can literally sit and listen to music and hear each note as a communication of God's Love. But that's because I am God and I am recognizing myself in the music. I am recognizing a self-communication. I am communicating with myself in whichever way I want. The communication does not need to be verbal or logical. A coffee table can be a communication. Literally, anything will work if you want it to work badly enough. Which is why a wide variety of prayers and religious symbolism works. The form of the symbol doesn't matter. It could be Jesus, Buddha, Muhammad, Satan, a two-headed goat, or a talking penis. Whatever you want. People get hung up on the specifics of the symbols. This is the key mistake of all religions, even Buddhism. Exactly Yup It's like this: we can express any fundamental truth, such as, "Snow is white", using a thousand different languages. No one language is "the best" or "the truest". It's just a matter of understanding the fundamental thing that was trying to be communicated. -

I'm not clear what you mean by this "bridge" and it being pure and empty. I just don't frame things that way in my mind. And there is more than one valid way to frame things. Whatever works for you. If you are encountering God's mind, that a good sign that you're moving in the right direction. But you must go deeper to the point where Judy's mind and God's mind become identitical, so there is zero difference between you and God. It sounds like you still hold God as other than you, as something above you. You have to literally realize you are God, and everything that entails. -

That's the mindfuck of it, since reality is Infinite Mind, Infinite Mind has an absolute and unlimited capacity to grasp itself since it is all-powerful and all-knowing. God can grasp itself. Not merely in part, but in Total. This is Omniscience. You can completely understand what you are and how you create reality. To the point where everything is understood and clear, with no existential questions remaining. You can comprehend self, other, death, life, love, truth, existence, and more. God is capable of total self-understanding. This is the highest goal: to completely understand yourself. Everything else is derivative of understanding. -

There is a feature of consciousness which I would call self-comprehension or self-understanding, and also a feature I would call interconnectedness. These are what I would call the upward direction as opposed to the downward direction of deconstructing sensory experience through formal technical meditation like Vipassana, or stilling the mind to the point of cessation. So what's required for God-realization is a crazy degree of self-comprehension and interconnectedness. The problem with traditional Buddhist practices is that they still the mind and produce cool higher states, but they don't give you that crazy degree of interconnected necessary for total self-comprehension. And so therefore reality, self, other, God, and Love are never really understood for what they are, even though there might be ego-loss. Ego-loss is not the same as a deep comprehension of things. This comprehension is not merely the human mind at work, it is God-Mind comprehending itself at an Absolute level. -

Because that's what you need to appeal to normies and grab hold of their minds. If Buddhism is a gourmet burger, Christianity is McDonalds. And actual awakening is a wild ox walking around in the forest. -
I have never done kale smoothies. Hypothyroidism has little to do with that. There is no guarantee whatsoever that your grass fed pasture raised organic cow is not filled with toxins and heavy metals from the food and water it consumes. That grass is probably watered with the cheapest polluted water and sprayed with pesticides which all gets filtered by the cow's liver and goes straight into you. And you're paying $50/bottle for that. Consuming organ meat is a terrible gamble.

It wasn't really an expression of empathy so much as a pointing out of facts about the psychology of homeless folk. It's just a mistake to think of homeless people as normal people who just need to hustle more.

You are everyone here, so you're doing this to yourself. You are fooling yourself to construct the dream you call your life. If you weren't doing this you couldn't be human. -

Cause I am God. No. Absolute is Absolute. You are the one here bullshitting in circles. Except you are denying and resisting suffering now. Notice your bias against suffering. This is not the highest Love. The highest Love would not seek to escape suffering since suffering is an important and valid part of consciousness. God created suffering for good reason. Preoccupation with eliminating suffering is not a good thing. -
A mild dose of psychedelic is more effective than alcohol. Although I encourage gaming sober.

It became a lot more corrupt in the West due to more seeking of power and hierarchy. -

This assumes the person is very healthy and conscious. -
I was the serious type who didn't put with human bullshit and games. I told you, her friends cockblocked her. Doesn't matter how hot you are or how good your game is when friends are committed to cockblocking. A girl is not going to go fuck a guy against all her friends. This makes her the town slut. If cockblocks didn't exist the human population would be 20 billion right now.

Absolute Truth is absolutely true. So it doesn't get realer than that. It's realer than real. It's ABSOLUTE. YOU. ARE. ABSOLUTE. LOVE. This is the pinnacle of reality. The problem is realizing it. -
Leo Gura replied to QandC's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Being IS identity! You can't be without identity. This is silly. If you are emptiness/formless/void -- that is your identity. But the point is, if you are feeling pain, that pain is part of your Absolute Identity. If you are trying to tell yourself, "I am not this pain" you are not being conscious/truthful. You are creating division in your own Mind. It is more conscious and truthful to say, "I am this pain as well as everything else". If pain is arising, you ARE that pain. There is no way around this. Of course you can train yourself to stomach the pain or even to just tune it out of your awareness. You could also train yourself to love pain and even get a twisted joy out of it. -

I know, but this naive notion is exactly what must be squashed. Right now you are not "free of chemicals". You have chemicals mediating your consciousness every second of your life. And taking this for granted is a giant mistake because people have very different chemicals mediating their "sober" consciousness. So it is not wrong to say that Jesus was constantly high on DMT relative to you. This is what you guys are overlooking when you use this notion of a "sober" or "natural" state. There are some people who are born naturally high on DMT. These people don't even need to meditate. But you look at them and think you are like them. You're not. To be like them you need to smoke a bunch of DMT. Again, there is no such thing as a "sober" state. By meditating a lot you actually change your brain chemistry such that you start becoming high. How do I know? Because I've been so conscious that it's obvious to me that no amount of meditation can produce that. But I can't prove that to you. You'll realize it too if you do enough psychedelics. Okay, but I am referring to something beyond that. Even if you lost the sense of self entirely in the so-called "sober state" you would still not be infinitely conscious. Which enlightened teachers obviously are not. If you ever become infinitely conscious you'll realize that teachers are not in that state. And, BTW, there are many degrees of ego-loss. An enlightened teacher still remembers his human name and childhood. I have been in such profound state of ego-loss that I could not recall my name or childhood. Of course combining both approaches would be ideal. I'm not against sober practices. Just don't fool yourself in the process. Because ultimate truth is UNITY! They are not equal. UNITY is always a meta function which includes both unity and disunity. But the sum total of unity and disunity is UNITY, not DISUNITY! What you're not grasping is that UNITY is an Absolute. Disidentication cannot be an Absolute because you need an "other" to disidentify from. The thing you're trying to disidentify from is yourself! Grasp that! No, it requires less than peak awareness because peak awareness is UNITY/IDENTITY. It's like you are arguing that if there is good there must also be bad. But what I'm telling you is No! Absolute Good is a meta thing which incorporates both good and bad, resulting in an Absolute Good. And there is no Absolute Bad. God is all upside, no downside. This is the wonder of God. Such a thing doesn't seem possible. And yet it is. It's a counter-intuitive mindfuck. -
Leo Gura replied to QandC's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Sure No! The Truth is that you actually are everything, including the body-mind-psyche. Technically speaking the problem isn't one of identification, it's a problem of partial identification. The problem is you identify with that body/mind but not Leo's body/mind and not a kangaroo's body/mind. The problem is you're cherrypicking. Your true identity INFINITY, which means you are every body/mind/object that is held in consciousness. Think of a TV. The TV is every image it depicts. The problem occurs when the TV starts to identify with only certain characters on the screen, while not others. It is actually not correct to say that the TV is none of the characters because it literally is all the characters. No! You will see that every partial identity is you! Like how the TV can see that every character is the TV. Actually it's more like the opposite. The ego-mind becomes a child of God. There is zero distance between God and its children. God IS its children. There cannot be any distance between God and its creation. GOD IS CREATION! CREATION = GOD This is precisely the problem and trap of Buddhism. It's like elevating the dark half of the yin-yang over the meta-Unity of the entire yin-yang. The goal is not a negative one but a positive one: total identification. Your identity is INFINITY. Unity is a meta feature that includes both white and black. It's not just white, and it's certainly not just black. But notice that this meta-Unity is an identity, not a disidentity. Reality is an Absolute Positive. It is not a neutral mid-point between positive and negative. This is a common trap. God is Absolute Goodness. Negativity never existed! God is Absolute Unity. God is ONENESS. ONE! ONE cannot have disidentity as that creates two. So by trying to disidentify you actually create division and evil! There is no we. There is only you. Because if you weren't playing this trick, how could anything exist? Things only exists when God imagines them. The problem is that you take the existence of things for granted. You assume things can just exist. Well, consider the possibility that nothing can exist unless you imagine it. But if you are conscious that you imagined it, then you cannot relate to it as "real". It's just imaginary. So literally the only way God can create "reality" is by imagining that it is not imagining reality. Ta-daaaa! Everything here boils down the problem of How could reality be created at all? By all rights nothing should exist. To make something appear requires a feat of trickery of the highest genius. Reality is literally a magic trick you're playing on yourself. Without this trick there would be nothing. But if there exists nothing, nothing prevents the trick from being played on nobody
